  • Thankfully my dad introduced me to great comedy like this.....all my generation has is those crap comedy central roasts

  • rich little is great and funny thanks for the clip

  • Oh, I haven't laughed so hard. Thank you Marilyn.

  • Wow. I'm really glad to have found this. I'm in my mid-30's and one of my heroes growing up was Rich Little. He inspired me to do voices and stand-up comedy. As for Jimmy Stewart...God broke the mold when He made Jimmy. A true gentleman and legend. When Jimmy passed the world set a record for bells chiming 'cause it knew an Angel had just gotten his wings.

  • when he did henry fonda , man that was great :D

    Those were real actors!

  • these were real stars...

    everyone new their names...

    not like today.....whose that?

  • Wasn't Lucile Ball just beautiful !!! Loved her shows.

  • Class acts we will never see the likes of again.

  • I wish my old man were still here, he'd loved to have seen this!

  • What an AMAZINGLY enthusiastic audience! They all stood up in a sec!!!

  • You have to love Jimmy Stewart! What a sweet man and a wonderful actor, such a good sport too ! That was hilarous

    "I feel terrible" hahaha

  • Rich Little is one of the best entertainers ever, period !!

  • That last little bit was brilliant...right on the money.

  • the new roasts are a whole lot worse than this......................im not saying these are bad just they're better

  • i have a bunch of roasts on video....cant compare to anything on tv today

  • this is what comedy is all about...Visor..you are correct! This era was so perfect, wholesome and nevertheless FUNNY! I wish we could continue this energy of these comedians. They must have had the best time of their lives. Rich Little is perfect. "That's good, that's good that's fine, it's fine." Pure genious.

  • Everyone seated at that table was a class act!

    Rich Little is the best!

  • That was hilarious!

  • lolz...these people ruined the real america.

  • What a legend!!!

  • I laughed so hard

  • did Steve Martin ever have dark hair??

  • good times.

  • it has been my previlage to be in the united states during 60's and 70's and 80's and 90's in california.

  • I hate today's comedians. I was watching the William Shatner roast from 2006 the other day and one of the roasters, can't remember who, said the words 'f**k' and'p*ssy' 10 times or so in his speech. I mean come on, is that really necessary? Today's comedians are so offensive and rude they're not even funny. And they call it 'entertainment'.. Geez... I much prefer the old times comedians. The Dean Martin roasts are a gem.

  • Rich and Jimmy, what class acts!

  • "Even you could do you."

  • I love the part where Jimmy says "what are you trying to say? what are you trying to say?" too funny.

  • So priceless!!!!

  • Jimmy Stewart..what a class act. RIP. Rich Little is second to none. thanks for posting

  • Jimmy stewart throws rich impersonation right back at him. so quick! hilarious. I love how fast all of these guys were. didn't need a bunch of rehearsed dirty jokes, they could just make stuff up and be funny

  • excellent , excellent, excellent, excellent

  • "Wella...wella...wellla..." We were all doing Rich Little doing Jimmy Stewart during this time. Brings a tear to my eye.

  • Love Rich Little~

  • Jim your Jimmy Stewart isn't what it used to be, let me give you a few pointers.

  • Class. Top quality.

  • his impressions r so gud

  • I like a lot of today's comedians, but is has somewhat devolved since then. But back then you could dirty without explicit and still be funny like his joke about if a man OD's on viagra then how will you close his coffin. LMAO!

  • Fantastic impressionist. Close your eyes and its them, particularly the Stewart...

  • exactly what i was gonna say!!

  • There was just too much great talent around in those days.....now there is very little....what magical entertainment!

  • too bad our kids missed out on the real america

  • @415Riggs You should have taught your kids better.

  • @415Riggs You should have taught your kids better.

  • @415Riggs

I missed out but im catching up. :)

  • @415Riggs Very well put...you hit it right on the head!

  • @415Riggs Yeah, too bad there isn't like, a record of Jimmy Stewart's achievements. Maybe on video or something.

  • absolutely brilliant

  • Aaaagh, Lucile Ball was soooo pretty.. god bless her xx

  • Lol -- I'd never have thought Rich Little was so funny based on his performance at the Correspondents' Dinner with Bush, Jr.

  • lmao

  • THIS was great television

  • Haarrlarious!!!!!!

  • Those were the days wern't they? So many great actors and people. Most of 'em gone now love 'em xxx

  • jimmy and bill cosby sound similar

  • He does a good John Wayne

  • aww. such a good sport.

  • Hats off to fellow Canadian Rich Little for a bang on impression of a true legend.

  • Aw I love Jimmy Stewart so much!

  • hes so good i love rich little

  • Until I see that Caliendo guy do Jimmy Stewart, I won't respect him. Sure, he's short too, but Jimmy was the first I ever did..

  • How wonderful this man is! I saw some pretty snarky comments about Rich on a previous page. Everybody is entitled to his or her opinion, but this man truly has a great talent. I hope he will be around for many more years.

  • great stuff...nowadays you just have people swearing and telling idiotic jokes at roasts.

  • So very true about what you have said. Most all of the comedians of today's generation think they have to use profanity in their jokes & do in the punch lines. Result--terrible-compared to this great stuff. Rich Little's talent is super great stuff & a masterpiece.

  • @ChopGaMan so u dont think redd foxx n richard pryor r funny because they swear?

  • thought that was steve martin at first

  • Simply a Legend.....the Late Great James Stewart

  • Brilliant.

  • OHHHHHHHHH so great....this is the best entertainment ever!! Thanks U-Tube and to all the posters who have put these up!!

  • Jimmy Stewart...the greatest actor ever. Rich Little...the greatest impressionist ever. This was so funny.

  • @nexttimewelove51 iT REALLY WAS, THE Best is when jimmy says I feel terrible.

  • Lol! "We've been watching you for forty years!"

  • The really scary thing is I looked away for a minute and I couldn't tell if Jimmy was talking or not! XD

  • when was this great Roasts? In 1978 or 1977?

  • This is the best! Thanks for uploading this!

  • Thanks for putting this up, what an encredible talent Rich Little is. Now I'm gonna watch Foster Brooks on this Stewart roast as he is awesome also.

  • i was tearing i was laughing so hard
