@Marc82193 Mayweather destroyed an undefeated Corrales(33-0 with 27ko's) smack dab in the middle of his prime. Mayweather also beat a prime Castillo,Judah, and Baldomir. The fact that DLH was fading when he fought Mayweather was offset by the fact that he was the MUCH bigger man. Mayweather couldn't even make 154 he came in at 150, then DLH rehydrated to around 167 the night of the fight. Mayweather would destroy DLH at 147 at ANY age in my opinion. Your right about Manny though.
@DDeCouto what you say is possible but an old and not-hungry-anymore de la hoya was probably the guy who gave mayweather most trouble in his career along with castillo. de la hoya, in the rounds he won, looked very very well against floyd but he lacked the stamina at that point of his career to continue forcing the fight in my opinion and that really makes me wonder how this fight could have looked with oscar at his top. i scored that fight 7-5 for floyd
@carlitoboxing7 Well Floyd had a broken hand in the first Castillo fight, and he beat him decisively in the rematch. DLH didn't land anything cleanyl in the whole fight. He was the agressor early on and backed Floyd against the ropes a few times. But Floyd rolled with his punches perfectly and caught everything on his shoulders, gloves, and elbows. Keep in mind that it's pretty easy to be the agressor when you have SIXTEEN pounds on somebody, and Floyd STILL beat him decisively.
@carlitoboxing7 The table was set for DLH to win and he came up short. It was the most hyped fight of the decade and the first fight to have the HBO mini series 24/7. DLH brought in Roach as his trainer. DLH had been walking at 154 for 7 years and had even been as high as 160 against Sturm, while Floyd had moved up 19 pounds in just 6 fights and was debuting at 154. Floyd outlanded him 207 to 122 and landed 43% of his punches to Oscars 21%. But does Floyd ever get due credit? No.
BEST FIGHT I WILL EVER SEE IN MY LIFE TIME I BELIEVE.This is 2 Boxers fighting in their primes I am just glad I was able to witness this boxing match.
@vanessalovesjackson@vanessalovesjackson What are you talking about sister? Shane Mosley was on steroids for this fight. He was part of the Balco scanadal with Barry Bonds. Didn't you know that? He was on Victor Conte's list. He admitted it to the Feds. You can find the hearings and read the transcripts online you know.
Are you a girl? because if that's you in the picture, you are hella fine.
@WeAreAll0ne1 U A STUPID HATING ASS FLOMO , WHO DONT KNOW SHIT ABOUT BOXING OR TIMELINES, THIS WAS B4 THE BALCO SHIT , ALSO THERE R A LOT OF RETARDS WHO TAKE STEROIDS THAT CANT BOX WORTH SHIT, BOXING IS SO MUCH MORE THAN STEROIDS , ALSO PLEASE GO TO HELL AND STOP WATCH BOXING U R A FUCKING FLOMO GO TO HELL
@phillyshell94 it's the first time i hear somebody defining oscar 'robotic' :) gotta admit he's one of the very few in boxing history who has really fought anybody, anywhere, anytime.
@oicaroh100 I dont think they woulda beat pacquiao.. cause mosley was roided and de la hoya could have a chance against pacquiao in his prime but pacquaio woulda beat him though. and this is coming from a huge DLH.
@PrimeAliProductions Negative! He arguably beat a de la hoya who didnt train for this fight watch the rematch but actaully watch it. Youll see whos the better boxer case closed.
@mirellale The steroid stuff didn't happen until 2003. Funny thing is that Mosley looked better WITHOUT them. He beat Oscar hands down when he was clean but had problems with him when he was juicing.
Floyd & Pacquiao fight fading Greats not when they are in their Primes

De La Hoya was bum for dropping Roberto Alcazar as his trainer. He would have done alot better had he have stayed with him.
