  • they've got the world on a string.

  • so good! thanks!

  • great way to bring an older musical style to a younger generation

  • I'm not sure who wrote the lyrics, but this song was popularized over 40 years ago by the Mexican band Sonora Santanera. They play a style of Cuban music called Son.

  • All - DOES ANYONE KNOW THE NAME OF THE SINGER IN PINK MARTINI'S LA SOLEDAD? I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND OUT HIS NAME FOR OVER A MONTH TO NO AVAIL. THANKS!

  • his name is pepe raphael. he also has a band called pepe and the bottle blondes.

  • Thanks! I was wondering again today about his name....

  • By any change, do you know the name of the guy who sings La Soledad by PM as well?

  • the only thing that spoils a little bit the video is the constant focusin' but..... still a great vid it's really great with the symphony!!!. Thanks for post it!!!

  • This song has no nationality, but er... is from Peru. From Ramon Aviles.

Search about him in the net

  • the lyrics, please?they are larger than life!!!

  • donde estas, donde estas Yolanda?

  • you must to see "es la boa" or "los luchadores" is the same rhythm by la sonora santanera

  • he original version is from mwxican group "la sonora santanera" you can find hear that theme like la sonora santanera donde estas yolanda

  • not really. it's originally from cuba.

  • I have the original version in my music and the song sounds like 40s or 50s, I think is the cha cha music that is cuban rhythm , but the song donde estas yolanda is mexican by la sonora santanera

  • this song is mexican

is from the group "la sonora santanera"

    I have the auntentical version

  • This group is incredible. With the symphony it's even better!

  • I absolutely love this song!! Donde estas Yolanda? Estoy aquí!! ;)

  • it´s great!! I truly enjoy it

  • she sings in many languages clever girl!!!

  • didnt know she spoke spanish too

  • BACAKSIZ SENİİİ

  • AFERİM KIZZZ NE GÜZEL SÖYLÜYON

  • Magnifique lyrisme musical.

  • Of course! this song is very Peruvian.. I grew up listening to this, thanks to my dad ;} ha ha I love it! and I also love the Pink Martini version. these guys are great! I love China Forbes, her voice is amazing!

  • Yolanda's in my bed.

  • yolanda is in peru =D

  • The original version of this song was performed by the peruvian singer RAMON AVILES, winner of a Music Festival in Sullana City (Perú) more than 30 years ago, I guess. !ARRIBA PERU! (Long Live Perú!)

  • Everybody loves Pink Martini. They are great.

  • i want this video on my orkut. please, allow?

  • Great performance!! Great song! Looooove it!!!

  • I've got to sing this song in my next spanish lesson

  • yo soy Yolanda, yo estoy aquì!!!

  • ¿realmente?

  • Meh. I think this doesn't flatter her. Maybe it's the recording. I love Pink Martini, but in this particular song, the guy on their album es mejor.

  • Where IS Yolanda?

  • fricken awesome!!!!

  • I agree absolutely amazing!

  • Great job BBC orchestra!!

  • what a concert , 10/10

  • Just came back from seeing Pink Martini in Carnegie Hall... they got a standing ovation. All I can say is WOW.... If you think they are good on a CD, you have no idea how much more amazing they are in person.

They poured their hearts and souls into this performance.. truly a work of love. The backup musicians are just amazing.... I think they are real risk takers. Most groups wouldn't have the nerve to try what they do and pull it off.

  • I was @ Carnegie Hall as well. Pink Martini is unbelievable; not merely because of China Forbe's extraordinary talent, but because of the entire band's musicianship. Seeing Pink Martini is like traveling to another place and time. Their music is TRANSCENDENT.

  • Unfortunately I saw them in concert in Bucharest, and they just did their job. Nothing more - maybe I expected too much and I had the expectations level quite high.

  • I was there and I think they gave a great performance....

  • Dikidikida ! ! !

  • the best!!...

  • wow. she is amazing singing, even better live.

  • brilliant man you taped this yourself?

  • surely I did, It was excellent to see them performing with BBC orchestra. was definetely an outstanding performance.
