@IamPersonMan This piece of music was added in when they began planning th concerts. It was put in to give the workmen time to finish building the wall (except for the last brick that goes into place at the end of "Goodbye Cruel World.") It's basically filler material, which is why it wasn't in the movie.

It's a shame that no concert DVD has been put out yet. I've seen the impressive work done on Doctor Who DVD's, those techniques could be used to tidy up the footage and than combined with either updated recorded sound or edited from the CD would be perfect.

@paulsbreakfast It actually doesn't stay the same between concerts. It's just the theme from other songs or a short jam, and they only play it to allow the roadies time to build the wall.

They improvise very well, if this is indeed improvisation. I know it was only there to kill time for the guys to finish building The Wall, but this is still very good.

Yes, this song is great. But they didn't record this song for studio for many reasons:

This song was made to earn time while the last bricks are put on the wall.

There wasn't enough time to record antoher song, for example, Pink Floyd didn't record "What Shall We Do Now?" In the album too.

According to Nick Mason's book, they weren't SUPER heavy (made of hollow cardboard), but heavy enough to do some damage if one fell from high enough on to an instrument / musician / crew member.

yeah they played it just before Goodbye Cruel World to give the roadies enough time to finish building the wall. It would go on until there was only one brick not placed, for Roger to sing through. One time it went for like 13 minutes.

This is so great! I love that singing starting from 00:32!! It's perfect! I mean the whole song is perfect! And quite disturbing and that think of the last few bricks and you would be sealed inside your own wall. It makes me nervous. But it is so great! This song really can create all those feelings.
