If such a virus could form or evolve into something with similar symptoms to what you just described, i would suggest it would derive from Rabies. Possibly a genetically enhanced version with added aggression hormones. There is only one problem with this rage virus theory, time span. rabies takes weeks or months to completely develop in an adult, possibly days in a child. it would be impossible to cut it down to seconds as depicted in the movie. 2 hours would be more likely infection time.

I'll say this, i liked 28 days later and 28 weeks later but there not zombie films. the people who are affected have more in common with a animal that has rabies then a zombie. Also in you can shoot these guys in the chest and hit a organ and they die, in the case of zombies the only way to kill them more or less is by shooting them in the head. the scary thing is the rage virus seems more realistic then some of the zombie viruses that are mentioned in films and books.

Good video, very humorous and if someone has just finished watching 28 Days/Weeks Later when seeing this....it could give a temporary fright.
I suppose this kind of scenario is possible, though it obviously can't be a natural virus. It would have to be crafted or genetically modified from another sickness - like rabies (probably the closest to the Rage Virus) or something. I think it's important to note that the virus doesn't make you strong, but aggressive, which means you don't hold back.

This is video is about as fake as the explanation.
1. The "mad cow virus" doesnt give you super strength, like in the video where they just tore the supposed victims arm off with just one pull.
2. The mad cow disease in humans doesnt make them mindless killing machines that hunt down people like this, they just become violent and unpredictable, much like the advanced stages of dimensia that elderly people get sometimes.

If such a virus could form or evolve into something with similar symptoms to what you just described, i would suggest it would derive from Rabies. Possibly a genetically enhanced version with added aggression hormones. There is only one problem with this rage virus theory, time span. rabies takes weeks or months to completely develop in an adult, possibly days in a child. it would be impossible to cut it down to seconds as depicted in the movie. 2 hours would be more likely infection time.
