@Kehvikso I was eye witness to what I believe was the only penalty Litmanen ever missed. In an Ajax game in the late nineties he shot it against the post; an Ajax teammate scored in the rebound however. But there's not a single keeper that ever stopped a Litmanen penalty.

Jari Litmanen was the fucking bollocks (in english thats slang for simply the best). He was my favorite foreign player & between 94-96 & in my view best in the world

I remember we were about to sign him but he went to Liverpool instead & I was gutted. He was then wasted by them although by then he was past his best.

A shame as then he would have played for my two favourite clubs Spurs & Ajax

Thats what I call a football player. What I have noticed is that Litmanen was extremely fast player. I dont mean that he ran fast. As you may see in this vid, Jari doesnt dawdle with the ball. All these goals are done from the first touch or with few touches. That makes a good player. Nowadays the good considered players hold the ball and dribble as long as they can until they lose the ball. I hate that. Thats my opinion.
