@Syidee15 Just keep going in and out of Quio Woods near Halure until the Butterfly Giganto respawn (Need lvl 4 ring i think) Providing you have a Monacle and do a few BLUE fatal strikes you should get them pretty easy.

Just a tip for some who are having trouble keeping the Hit chain up. Once you are approaching the end of the OVL spam tidal wave until you see one more 'Tidle Wave' title appear AFTER the end of the OVL and only than start spamming for another OVL.

Why taunt 2 and not taunt? ( i have both on all characters so it doesn't matter either way to me..)

and would you get more grade from farming monsters that are weak against water?

@Grevener yes, in hard mode the amount of grade you earn after battle increases rather than in normal mode.

taunt 2 increases the OVL gauge faster than just taunt, so its better to just have them use taunt 2.

and no, the idea here is to find large groups of monsters to fight all at once (maximum of 8 at a time i think..) since you're trying to get combos and fs chains to increase grade.

Spell End can mostly cover up for Wonder Symbol so you can use instead of it Risky Ring from Mum Cobanda to have pretty much infinite TP (also useful in other situations)

@larsthomaspunt well i'm not exactly sure what you're doing wrong but you probably aren't activating lvl 3 OVL (push the left side of the flat control panel). If that doesn't work then try getting the risky ring to reduce TP consumption to 1 for every arte.

Another good way to get grade is just simply putting everyone to defend and kill all the monster except one and then equip Rita a skill that make her attacks go to 1. Make sure your partners can taunt. Then just use Rita's burst arte over and over again for like 10 to 15 minute and you shall get around 200 grade per battle.

Easier to let it happen automatically and watch tv. those fights take like 100 minutes... just make shure your strategy is well set.

Good guide. Be careful though. My friend actually broke his 360 because he spammed tidal wave so much. It got small black lines across the screen of his TV and he had to get a new 360. I'm not even joking. The 360 committed suicide just so it wouldn't have to hear "TIDAL WAVE! BLA BLA BLA!" for one more second.

He had the white (standard) xbox at the time when it broke. I don't know who told you Elites break easily but I always hear they're sturdier. Still, it all came down to overheating his xbox from the sheer amount of visual power (tidal wave for hours on end). Just take a break from the grinding for half an hour to play it safe.

Instead of the Wonder Symbol, I used the Risky Ring. The difference between these two are that the Wonder Symbol shortens casting time, which you can choose from the skill set already.

The Risky Ring makes every spell or any arte use 1 TP but lowers P.DEF and M.DEF defenses greatly - about half of whatever you had before using the ring.

It works perfectly fine for me. Good thing I never started my second game or else I'd be stuck choosing what things I'd want from the Grade store.

OMG the chances of getting up to overlimit 3 is really random. All my characters have Taunt 2 on them and i'm usually lucky if I make it half way up OL 2. Are there any other skills that add to your Overlimit?

There is no "chance" involved. If you set it up exactly the way described in this video it will work 100%. In fact most of the time I am halfway into the 3rd OL before I even need to activate it. Recheck your setup again; it sounds like you don't have one of the skills he mentions (most likely Speed Cast)

But I also realized that Judith doesn't have Taunt 2..so that was putting a dent in the amount of OVL gained. But anyways, i've been able to grade farm with out a problem latley and i've got 20k grade...I hope I don't need to do this again XD. I still say Blah, blah blah in my sleep DX.

The risky ring does not decrease your damage output to 1, you need to synthesize Sash +1, (a Rita weapon). That will get you the skill minimum damage. Hope this helps though you may already have the answer

You can get the Blue Dice (adds 20% more grade at the end of the battle) in the sands west of Mt. Temza by these monsters called Gentlegolem that ONLY appear in the nightime in the desert and when a sandstorm is about and i believe the only way to pull the blastium ore j from them (needed for synthesis of Blue Dice) is by getting a FS chain of +5 i think so farming with Rita might be helpfull.

Light magic and spell end is all you need. Wonder Symbol on top of that doesn't do shit. Get the risky ring from namco bandai island which makes all spells cost 1TP, and spam away. This makes it so you don't need 3 characters with taunt 2 and OVL bar of lvl 3.
