  • I liked how Robert Duvall showed in the film.

  • Whoever dislikes this song is seriously retarded.

  • one more time, then I'll go to bed..... one more time, then I'll go to bed

  • goosebumps...every single time!

  • Love this song in it's acoustic version, but nothing compares to this version with the orchestra behind it! Gives me the chills!!

  • 34 people wouldnt know good music if it slapped them in the face...

  • @fortworthkid93

What makes you such a musical expert?

There are many, MANY songs better than this one.

  • @substanti8

In your opinion. I really like it.

  • @substanti8 pretty sure its called an opinion

  • @substanti8 Because everyone's musical taste is the exact same as yours right? I mean, that's what is so beautiful about music, that everyone has the exact same taste, which is why there is only one style of music out there.

  • why does it show up in the search bar as ' the very kind"?

  • Great movie, great acting and fantastic song! You have good taste!

  • how can you not love this song. <3

  • it would of been so much better if jeff bridges sang it

  • @MissPeacebabe10 Ryan Bingham wrote the lyrics, the guitar part and performs both for this song. T-Bone arranged the piece and added the non-guitar instruments. Jeff Bridges actually can sing and play guitar and does so for most of the songs, but not this one.

  • @GyOndoranNil There is a video (ABCNews) of Jeff playing this very song. It's an amazing piece of music. Touches my heart.

  • This is tears falling out my eye or the good lawd pour rain through my ceiling....I'll stick with the latter.......thank you very much(jeff bridges voice)

  • @asheyblack gonorrhea

  • @ericsyutubeaccount dude really??

  • @asheyblack youre laughing because im different, im laughing because i farted

  • One of the greatest songs to ever come from a movie soundtrack; it perfectly conveys the story's character arc. Bridges was born to play that role.

  • I love that eerie sound at 1:30

  • Great song.

    Peace everybody.

  • shiverrrrrrr

  • Just simply beautiful :-)))

  • This song makes me want to cry, beautiful!

  • Comment removed

  • this just shows how any song from any genre can be beautiful and truthful. people need to get over the idea of country being a "hillbilly" "honkytonk" type of music and listen to the good stuff, not the shit on the radio.

  • Amazing honesty. The heart and soul of an artist can always be heard in their voice. If you like this song and if you like this movie then be sure to youtube: THE UNANSWERED DREAMS OF A DEAD MAN ---- True art is worth true pain.

  • I think this is what is meant by "music"

  • @CharmingSage: Your mom is pointless...but I still banged her last night.

  • I usually don't enjoy country music, but this song really gets to me. The Dude definitely deserved that Oscar he won. Beautiful movie and beautiful song.

  • Amazing.

  • Amazing.

  • i LOVE this man !!

  • I get chills every time I listen to this song.

  • this movie was so amazing it left me breathless. Shows us the reality of life and how we can go from having the good life to nothing. Always love ur family, ur friends, and God, because they are the ones that care. The world aint always fair but we got to do our best during our time here.

  • Helps to be older to feel this song!

  • so everyone that doesn't like this song is mentally retarded, is that what you're saying?

  • @greenberetta2001 yes, that is what he is saying, its quite obvious actually... man, you guys ARE retarded!!

  • @KardKid1996 thx, that's all i wanted to know

  • @greenberetta2001 I wouldn't call them retarded. Just that they can't appreciate good country music.

  • lovely song :D

  • sapete dv posso trovare il testo?

  • 33 people thought the song is so bad, they hit the dislike button??? Cant believe it....

Soon there will be a movie called "Crazy Minds"...

  • Epic Song. A song that i think everyone can relate to. Ryan Bingham is a modern day Johnny Cash - A legend and a song writing genius!!!

  • @TheRamRod11 Not really. Jc is far better.

  • great tune, everything Bingham does is great.... Too me, nothing can match his songs. great great movie also.

  • This song is so nice and the film is nice.

  • Lady Gaga puts out great music for HER genre, which is fine! Her fame doesn`t dimish the talent of all the other wonderful artists around, which may suit your tastes more. There is enough room in this world for all artists, and all music.

  • thats one hell of a song...

  • Not since Walk The Line have I wanted to buy a movies soundtrack so much. I never even used to like country music that much but now I love it! Same with 50s rock music

  • If oly people would relize theres more to music then Fast guitar rips, lighs, fog, and all that Overzealous crap and focuos on good music like this.

  • what a song what a singer what an actor what a film.

  • @TheDayfornight what a comment.

  • Why can't this get to number one?

  • I have never had the urge to buy a movie soundtrack CD until Crazy Heart. Big thumbs up!

  • uhu huh ,, true story :( been there don that

  • very good song......and movie 2......

  • I wish they'd made a version with Colin Farrel too, and Jeff Bridges..their voices were better.

  • great song

  • maaan, what a voice

  • the 11th commandment: "THOU shalt make more music as good as this"

  • i normally hate country music, but this was a great movie and this song kinda got stuck in my head. props to Bridges and Bingham

  • Anyone else up for trying to get this to number one just once...why not, its better than any crap that so called artist vomit up on a daily basis

  • bryan im sorry for takin so long

  • not only did the movie transpire me (i mean that last scene in meeting up an ex and yet being so graceful despite his heart breaking...kleenex box please!)...and then this song....a true 'hurtin song' in the best western sense of the word....yet speaks of courage and resilience too: and that's the tougest part isn't it when it come to heartache in life: getting up when you want to stay down, moving on step by step (as 'bad' says in the film 'one day at a time') to begin your life anew.

  • To itbrandon u wouldnt no music if it fell out of the sky and hit u on top of the head, come on guy he is a good, this song isnt one of my favorits by ryan but it is decent

  • Simply Beautiful.

  • @ItBrandonSilver the lyrics kind of do make sense.........especially in regards to jeff bridges character. think about it.

  • My god, what an incredible song!!! It;s a damn shame that kids are exposed to music like this regulary but they are exposed to Lady Gaga and Justin Baby.....i mean Bieber.

  • @thecowboy09 hahaha why so serious?

  • It makes you cry...This song doesn't just speak of one event. It doesn't speak of partying on a saturday night or Poker Face's. It has a meaning...It speaks the truth. We all walk down dark halls at some point. But you can't let yourself stay there, or it destroys you...Kudos to Ryan Bingham aand Burnett. Thanks for posting the vid.

  • Deeply moving, and heart rendering

You rolling 7's with nothing to lose. kinda hits ya in the heart

  • Fuckin' awesome, my man, on every level.

    L.

  • just one word : masterpiece

  • awesome!

  • i agree lol

  • wow

  • I realize this is co-written, but I'm amazed that T-Bone Burnett, with all the film soundtracks he's been involved with (O Brother Where Art Thou, Cold Mountain, Walk The Line) isn't more famous than he is. Great song!

  • @AzureMonk T-Bone was pretty big back in the day

  • @deathgreeb101

Well, I just started listening to T-Bone recently (only got the 20-20 disks). But in a day where Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber regularly make the headlines, it's darn tragic that a true artist like T-Bone Burnett is not recognized by the public (I'm certain within the industry he's well respected and admired).

  • voila.. here comes the next song i need to play!

  • this song a very sad song it hits me sometime

  • this one beautiful song wow

  • make me feel good after a long time...

  • this is such a beautiful song....love love love it

  • Makes me proud to see a Texas country artist write stuff worthy of a holly wood movie...this is true country!

  • @slimTSU12 He is from New Mexico! He was on Letterman after the Oscars and sang a few songs -- also said he was from New Mexico but now lives in LA. Not from Texas, as many think . . .

  • This is one of the best songs I've ever heard, Bravo! Great song, great movie!!

  • now this is country. =) unlike the honky tonk crap they play these days.

  • @guitarbutt

I'd rather have Lady Antebellum plastered all over the radio than Taylor Swift being plastered all over the radio, at least I like their music

  • I really love this song. His voice is amazing! And the lyrics is so good!

  • Amen to that.

  • omg i have listened to this 20 times in the past hour

  • Looks like 32 people are mentally retarded and missed the like button

  • A song with more meaning than anything Lady Gaga can ever do or wish to do

  • @Waltermelon1000 Lady Gaga is trying to catch a meaning in her songs? Haven't bothered noticing. I listen to real music, such as this.

  • @Waltermelon1000 THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing could be more true lol.

  • @Waltermelon1000 LMAO, I love how poofters keep bringing Lady Gaga up in every single aspect of the music world.....ofc she can never make music like this, and she's not trying to either since this song DOES NOT reach the general public in the same way as her braindead wailing does. Simple and just the way it should be. She makes a hell of a lot more money than these blokes though, which shows how twisted things are.

  • Right on brother, country has turned a new leaf in my consciousness thanks to Jeff Bridges and T-Bone Burnett. Not bad for a couple of Southern California boys. Historians will look at the early 21st century as the age of bad taste in bad music, with the exception of these little prized nuggets of talent. God Bless.

  • @Waltermelon1000 i hear u man, most pop stars dont even write their own lyrics, bunch of crap if u ask me

  • @Waltermelon1000 I agree. Her whole purpose is to debase Society and drag it down.

  • @Waltermelon1000

    RIGHT ON.

    amen!

  • @Waltermelon1000 HOW CAN YOU EVEN COMPARE THESE TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO SHIT!!!!!!!!!!! GAGA SHOULDNT EVEN BE MENTIONED IN THE SAME BREATH AS THIS DUDE

  • "Pick up a Crazy Heart and give it one more try..." Brilliant!

  • Love this song. But I don't think Ryan Bingham's voice is a good fit for it. Colin Ferral's was much better. Maybe they should let him record it.

  • Comment removed

  • @crypticangel867 Not completely postitive on this, but I think it was Ryan Bingham singing for Colin Ferral at the end when Tommy sang it to the crowd

  • @josephdavis4 Nope. It is Colin singing. It's not this version in the movie.

  • theres in't no song, without a broken heart. You loose -you sing the blues.

  • this song is beautiful ~

  • I LOVE THIS SONG

  • Does Ryan still do crystal meth? My buddy used to hang with him in Austin and said they would get pretty crazy! Sounds fun!

  • @JohnDoe959 this song COULD have something to do with him doing drugs?

  • Did anyone hear Ryan Bingham's speech at the Oscars? He tanked his wife and said he loved her more than rainbows. That was one of the sweetest things I ever heard.

  • Beautiful :')

  • @crazynewsboysfan yeh brill song

  • Justin, I want you to go check out ALL the music of Stephen Bruton, who did the guitar work on this film and wrote six of the other songs.......the film was dedicated to him.......he was nothing BUT, cleaned up inspiration, the nicest human I ever met, and I think you will find strength and solice in his music. Trust me on this one!

  • Dammit, I've listened to this like 10 times in a row haha. Great song, great movie.

  • What a beauitful song, love ever bit of it. Amazing!!!
