I didn't have the RROD because I have Xbox 360 Slim !! And you can have the RDOD (Red dot of death) but it doesn't matter!! Because you just gotta pull your Hard drive out and put it back in! So simple!
That would have been funny if one of the Xbox's got the RROD while MS was showcasing them. The original 360 hardware was horse shit. I didn't get an Xbox on launch day, but I was able to get one of only 6 PS3 consoles Best Buy had on launch night. That was a great night. That PS3 lasted me 3 good years. Just bought my 360 on sunday, and I am enjoying the hell out of it.
People who played at the boothes didn't realize they're not playing an Xbox 360.
They were playing Power Mac G5's, which the Xbox 360 was based from. If anyone even cared to notice, the Xbox next to the screens were either dummies or weren't turned on.

Xbox 360 is not the best console ever imo. Top 10... Maybe the 6th best. PS2, Sega Genesis, NES, SNES, N64. Those are the best consoles. (Not in that order btw)
It's hilarious how many people don't even know what the RROD actually is... It wasn't a problem, it was just the warning that told you there was a problem. All red rings, no matter how many flashing lights there are, can be fixed relatively easily. It was a simple way to tell the gamer something was up, not the actual problem itself. So many people just threw it out and bought a new one because of the RROD, when it's usually a simple fix...

I've done comparisons between Blu-Ray and standard copies of the same DVD's and they've both looked exactly the same. It's just a way for the companies to make more money. It's like buying beans. Why buy Heinz when your supermarkets own won't taste any different... They want you to spend more, so they bring out different versions...

i have the Red light of the dead ... but i repair whit a metod calling re-balling and i have guarantie of 2 years that the RROD cant apears in my xbox360 the tecnical stores repair RROD whit reballing for 60$ and your xbox360 will be indestructible ! and my ps3 have the fucking yellow light... =S and its the same procedement its ridiculus how the new consoles are shiit and making of shiit components ...
