  • I remember my first ship, the Stena Seatrader, had a couple of 3512s as generators. I loved the sound, they were like train engines.

  • A little deception.

Fuel consumption is at this moment approx. 460 - 500 Lph for both engines in total.

But this is good for the Shell stamp collectors.

BTW nice maintained engine room. Did the engines had their top-end overhaul allready?

  • thanks grate video!

  • song please?

  • @DCOT87

    Black Crowes.....Cocaine.....

  • I love the sound of a diesel engine running at full tilt and Turbo/s screaming! It really gets the blood flowing that's for sure! And when they idle they just purr like kittens waiting to be brought up to full power again. There's nothing like it!

  • she moves along pretty good!

  • maybe you can't see it... but this ship is 183 meters long (about 600 feet) and 11.45 meters width (37.57 feet)....and carrying 5000 tons of coal...(11023.11 pound) It is a Dutch inland vessel wich pushes a barge... upstream mostly coal and downstream containers or gravel.

  • absolutly awesome!

  • Leeker Video and nice ship:)
