@redhead5150 Bruce tops my list of favorite artists, and his music has been a huge part of my life for 20+years. But, at times, his guitar playing is way too sloppy and repetitive. He is incredibly expressive with his ax, but sometimes it just comes out as noise. I didn't like his technique or execution at all on this outro.
The first time I came across this I was listening and not watching saying to myself damn nils lofgren is simply awesome, little did I know it was the boss himself
This is an awesome performance of this song. However, my favorite version is from the 1978 tour. HIs guitar solos are beyond description, leading into the song and also the ending. Check out the live performances from Phoenix or the Capital Theatre. I was fortunate to see that '78 tour in Portland, Or.
unbelievable timing with these guys...they know exactly where each guy is going.....for all you bands that think you don't need to practice often, take heed....you don't gert this good practicing once a week or on your way to a gig.....definately one of/if not THE best band ever !!!
God Bless Texas!!! That was way past awesome. That was Heart, Mind Body, Soul, Spirit, Music, every fiber of being transcended in a statement of pure, unadultrated
My favorite Bruce Springsteen. It's almost a sequel to Thunder Road except it's certain to end in failure, the character seems willing to risk it all for his woman.
@ConorCoughlanMusic This was performed with the original members of the E Street band... with the exception of Danny. I personally feel this is almost better without that extra guitar, as much as I enjoy Nils.
These guys could show the youger generations a thing or two about music!!!!

THE BOSS is a legend, a guitar player he's average. SVZ is the lead riff master of this band.
