  • These guys could show the youger generations a thing or two about music!!!!

  • @bobcats330 Word!

  • that old telly!!!

  • ommygoddd!!!!!

  • Bruce just gets more and more perfect. THE BOSS!

  • THE BOSS is a legend, a guitar player he's average. SVZ is the lead riff master of this band.

  • @redhead5150 no sir, that would be Nils!

  • @redhead5150 Bruce tops my list of favorite artists, and his music has been a huge part of my life for 20+years. But, at times, his guitar playing is way too sloppy and repetitive. He is incredibly expressive with his ax, but sometimes it just comes out as noise. I didn't like his technique or execution at all on this outro.

  • this is what i call "fucking perfection"

  • You are the fucking Boss!!!!!!!

  • damn!

  • I'm crying! What a guitar! what a band! Where is the new boss? Nowhere...

  • everybody look up Counting with Bruce Springsteen, very funny and true!

  • The first time I came across this I was listening and not watching saying to myself damn nils lofgren is simply awesome, little did I know it was the boss himself

  • @nemesis1365 dude, i'm interviewing Nils for a school project!

  • You can tell there is no public! Still great!!!

  • This wraps up my 'Tres for Tuesday'...Bruce says it all in this tune! Enjoy!

  • i think if he keeps working at his lyrics and guitar playing he might make it one day, keep up the good work awesome

  • @BrumunddalFootball

This is an awesome performance of this song. However, my favorite version is from the 1978 tour. HIs guitar solos are beyond description, leading into the song and also the ending. Check out the live performances from Phoenix or the Capital Theatre. I was fortunate to see that '78 tour in Portland, Or.

  • RIP Big Man!

  • unbelievable timing with these guys...they know exactly where each guy is going.....for all you bands that think you don't need to practice often, take heed....you don't gert this good practicing once a week or on your way to a gig.....definately one of/if not THE best band ever !!!

  • So many Springsteen videos on YouTube have 0 dislikes. No Coincidence there.

  • God Bless Texas!!! That was way past awesome. That was Heart, Mind Body, Soul, Spirit, Music, every fiber of being transcended in a statement of pure, unadultrated

emotion and truth. I am a BELIEVER for sure!!!!

  • Nothing Compares to this Sound... The Boss at his best.

that feels like summer , like freedom ...amazing.

Spingsteen and Dylan are the best songwriters of all time...and the boss has the voice...incredible

  • Gosh... beautiful Bruce.... and also his voice...

  • Direct into my heart!

  • That guitar will move from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to the SMITHSONIAN one day.

  • My favorite Bruce Springsteen. It's almost a sequel to Thunder Road except it's certain to end in failure, the character seems willing to risk it all for his woman.

  • fantastic performance; but, where is Nils?

  • @ConorCoughlanMusic This was performed with the original members of the E Street band... with the exception of Danny. I personally feel this is almost better without that extra guitar, as much as I enjoy Nils.

  • bruce is an awsum at guitar, he sounded lik jimmy page on the solos

  • WOW WOW WOW These guys are better than ever

  • Wow.....it doesn't get any better (or more intense) than that....young rockers: that's called 'testifying' during a solo..!

  • "Darkness" is my favorite Springsteen album, this live in 2009 makes it even better.

    26071967AS

  • Dude, Bruce absolutely nailed that solo.

  • Baby, here you are my everlasting kiss.

A kiss to seal our fate tonight .

A new kiss to prove it all night.

A kiss to prove my truthful love for you.

    LOVE YOU. MISS YOU. ALWAYS.

  • No Nils or the rest of the additional Estreeters, just straight forward pownding!!!!

  • After seeing that : does anybody need Nils ? Bruce's solo is amazing.... :-)

  • @Tbe3006

yes we do need nils. I think, if you know, we're talking about streight up guitar playing, the better question is...

    Do we need patti?

    :DDDDD

  • Unbelievably spectacular - OMG Bruce killed it on this, man can he wail on that guitar. Simply put The Boss!

  • "YEAH BABY! YEAH!" - Clarence @2:10

  • You're damn right no description available.

  • @lukeskidmore This comment always makes my smile!

Amazing mini-concert by Bruce and the e-streeters, +30 years have passed since this album came out and they are still rocking hard as ever!

  • Where's Nils?

  • @38Harryh He wasn't around when they produced Darkness. Keeping it legit.

  • What a tune! what an album what a performance!
