Really difficult to tell. Because Jim gets killed in the next season, ned doesn't die, neither did delia or her mum. So maybe Rick because he was last scene in the first episode of the next season.

well, do you remember in season 2 the 3rd last episode..when payne say sthing about 5 signs? this 5 means the death of someone loved...well, if you remember in one of the episodes,on Jim's back apeared a word that means in latin th esame thing..but payne say that is to soon to warry cuz the 5th sign - the writting wasn't enough....so, this is the finale sign :P it completes everything (the missing shadow) .......

They never resolved this whole 6 people 5 shadows thing. I watched the end of this episode so much I have it commited to memory trying to figure out who is dead.All signs point to JIm right?? well actually It has to be Payne because he is the one to say that there are 5 shadows and 6 people and he can't see ghosts so how would he know 6 people were there if he cant see ghosts!! but if u notice a little earlier in the episode JIm touches Payne meaning the writers or producers made a major booper.

nobody was dead yet, there are no ghosts there, they are all alive. The significance of the shadows is a sign that someone is going to die, not that they already have

i think this was the first clue that it was going to be Jim. I mean it's clear that Jim doesn't have a shadow but then everyone knew that Payne had his on show so we figured it would be him so that's what we all figured you know. But it was Jim they freaking killed Jim for no reason if u ask me because of what is happening nw but since Garry Unmarried is cancelled do u think payne will return. I hope so.

The shadows all lined up with the characters except the left hand side where there was Ned and Jim, but only one shadow. But its confusing as he is shown holding Nat and Nat reacting when Jim grabbed him. Payne has his own show starting but everyone seems to know that so it would be much of a cliffhanger if he was him. Beth is obvious but the right hand shadow is too far over to be Melindas. But if not Payne, how could he see 6 people. bugger...
