i really love all your video! your nina make us smile, when i say SMILE, i mean NINA and i really love the rainbow picture, its amazing! you did great geof..hug and kisses to nina.. XOXO.
hey geof. im hazim from malaysia. first of all your nina's video was really great. my family and i love it. i hope you reply to this one. having a channel focusing on japan's culture and heritage is really inspiring. suggestion, maybe you could make a video about interesting places there, the technology, the scenery or even the lovely sakura. i'm also into short videos kinda stuff. feel free to watch my videos and leave any suggestions if you have the time. means a lot to me. thanks, regards.
@nisadesu Thanks! I hope you can make it to Japan some day. Nina just had a sports day at her school, which she practiced very hard for. Also, recently, she has been making origami pumpkins and ghosts for Halloween!
Geof, you are very creative and a good story teller. We all watched and fell in love with the story of your gorgeous daughter growing up.
What will be your new theme or subject? I think if there is story to it it will play to your strengths. Just off the top of my head, cultural events and Japanese festivals might be somethings your fans are interested in and has story behind it. People and their work or hobbies are interesting but might be hard to find willing subjects. Have fun.
@hussainhilmy I'm not sure yet what the theme of this channel will be. I'm shy about speaking to the camera, so I don't want to be a vlogger. Taking videos of cultural events, etc. sounds like a good idea. Thanks!
It's a good thing that you decided to make movies about Japan when you quit your other channel. I like Japanese culture and I like your movies and I must say this channel did start off very strong. I really hope to see much more :)
@steflondon88 ha ha Well, Japan is certainly very busy, active, and exciting--that's true! But, the huge crowds can get tiring. Sometimes, I miss the wide open spaces with few people, like you can find in the West.
@nisaAD2707 Yeah, we see several rainbows every year, but that one was particularly strange. It only lasted about five minutes, but I grabbed my camera quickly!
Wow! What an amazing slideshow! You got some really nice shots indeed. Hopefully I'll be able to take a few decent pictures of my own this winter. Pictures of Swedish winter skies can be nice, but they're never as dynamic as yours...
@loegdberg I love skies wherever I go. I can imagine that Sweden would have some great skies! I'll admit that I do make some of my photos a bit more dynamic using GIMP (photo manipulation software).
I like the way you see the world ^_^ thanks for sharing. Great photos and the way you together the slideshow along with the music is beautifully done. Have you ever thought of doing some sort of "food" slideshow? just curious ^_^
Your photos are amazing, would you mind to send the photo on 0:160:281:24 ? or any place/website I can get the source? These photo are great, I want to use it as my desktop n phone background picture.
@alen921006 Thanks! I've got a lot of photos on my photo site at pbase. They won't let me put the address here, but if you go to pbase and search under my username "geofg" you should be able to find them. I'm pretty sure all of these are in the "Views From Our Condo" gallery.
@geofinjapan I live in the Sunshine Coast of Australia, in Queensland. It is a very beautiful area with beaches, palm trees and a little further inland mountains and communities that make beautiful art. I live on the 11th floor of an apartment building and I can see the river and the ocean, and the changing skies. I love looking at skies too, because I feel that every minute the skies are changing in a way that they will never be exactly recreated again. Maybe that is why you like skies too? :)
@Kirarachu I've spent some time on the Gold Coast, so I have some idea of Australia's beauty. The thing that amazed me the most were all the different species of birds and other animals that I've never seen anywhere else. We live on the 10th floor, so yes, I know what you mean about the sky. It is always dynamic and changing.
@kobidreamer Thanks! Depending on whether I go out on our balcony to the south, or on the stairwall to the north, I can get almost a 360 degree view of the sky, so that, combined with the changing skies depending on the season, gives me a fair amount of sky views to choose from.
@LaurenNIHON Thanks, Lauren! I take a LOT of photos (and throw out most of them) so I get lucky now and then. I also turn my head to the sky a lot, always on the lookout for cool clouds, lighting etc.
I miss Nina :)
