the common mistake is that the nation of israel today consist of the jews(judah) but that not right..those other 10 tribes are out here in the world today..so-called lost. the jews are just 1 tribe of the 12. benjamin and some of the levites went with judah when they split from the nation of israel. so when GOD says THE HOUSE OF ISREAL he is referring to those other tribes, too. the jews does not make up the whole house of israel. america england australia canada france denmark are just a few
also in ezekiel 8:13-17 when those men were facing the sun worshiping..thats used in churches today..its called sunrise services. mostly used during the easter holiday. the roman catholic changed the sabbath from saturday to sunday (sunworship) that why GOD say use this day (sabbath) as an identifying mark(God;s mark) vs 666(devil's mark). thats why 10 tribes were lost and the jews(judah,,benjamin and some of the levites) are known today..they kept the true sabbath..but the rest are still lost
So many errors, so litte space Just a few, then. The word "Easter" comes, according to Bede, from the name of the Anglo-Saxon goddess Eostre. Many linguists today question this. But this is the only mention of any form of the name in any text. To repeat that, this is the ONLY mention of the name in any text No variations either, no "Ostara," for instance.Note as well that Eostre, if she existed, was a Germanic goddess, and Tammuz is Near Eastern. No connection. Get your facts straight, please.
Since you do not understand TORAH, you do not understand ~ Elohim is what we English speakers call "G-d", and Elohim is NOT THE FATHER, alone. So YES< the Son is the fullness of the ELOHIM, but NOT the SAME ENTITY as the FATHER. Elohim is MANY ~ it's ALL of us together. Worship the FATHER, the Son said.
Worship the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. There is one God. Simply because one doesn't understand the doctrine of the Trinity does not make it false. The early Christians worshiped Jesus as God. The scriptures teach the deity of Christ. If Christ is NOT deity, then worshiping Him would be blasphemous. If He IS deity, then NOT worshiping him would be a great sin. It certainly would not be honoring to Him would it?
Everyday of our LIVES we submit to LAW ~ we submit to the LAW of MEN! Seatbelt laws, smoking laws, walking, talking and SITTING laws...and when all is sad and done, we in America agree, IGNORANCE OF THE LAW IS NO EXCUSE! Yet, Christians think that since Yeshuah, there IS NO LAW FROM ELOHIM/G-D?? And you wonder why the World calls you Christians HYPOCRITES?
@KatherineBenElohim we're not saying there is "no law." This is the classic heresy known as antinomianism. Rather, what we're saying is that Christians don't follow the 613 commandments revealed by God to Moses in the Torah (Genesis through Deuteronomy). Some of the commandments we follow in the New are likewise in the old, but they are not the same covenant. You can't say we have to follow the Torah Decalogue but ignore the rest of the Torah and be consistent, can you?
@XSC3 If you understood Torah, you wouldn't say this; for not only do the 613 still apply, so too, do the 1,050 included in the Renewed Covenant. You would understand, for example, it is not LAW at all; but Instructions in RIGHTEOUS and only when we LIVE and STUDY it, do we see, the sin in our lives. For if we say we have NO sin, we make Elohim a liar. Now, how does a person remain obedient to 1,673 Laws? By SEEING they are not LAWS at all, as we understand law to be. :)
@KatherineBenElohim the point is, that certain people will pick up the Torah, read it and say "oh see? Christians don't do this, don't do that, or are breaking this" and conclude that these Christians are sinners as a result. The key for interpreting the Old Testament for Christians since the first century has been Jesus Christ and his apostles, and our most readily available source of information for what they taught has always been contained in what we call the New Testament.
@XSC3 How do I put this ~ Christianity is a RELIGION: THE broad path to destruction IS RELIGION. They ARE part of the REAL problem and pretty much THE reason the World believes LIES about Torah and the Jews. The thing you call the "NEW" Testament, isn't NEW at all; YES, you should Observe the Sabbath; YES, you should not eat pork; YES, the New Testament says, you should OBEY THE FATHER. Yeshuah/J-sus is NOT the FATHER. DO and LIVE as HE DID and LIVED. HE did, why not US?
@KatherineBenElohim "religion" is not a dirty word (this is a modern, individualist sentiment). See James chapter 1.
I'm not asking people to believe lies, about the Torah, about Jews or about anything else. I'm questioning these conspiracy theories that say paganism took over and corrupted the Bible, the Church, etc. There's simply no evidence for it, just a lot of petty accusations and misunderstandings.
@KatherineBenElohim where does it say in the New Testament that I must not eat pork?
The only place where we are advised not to eat certain unclean foods is in conjunction with those sacrificed to idols... but NOT because eating such foods somehow honors false gods (and such "gods" don't even exist), incurring sin, but that if a weaker brother observes this, their own weak faith might be threatened. We are otherwise free to eat unclean foods.
@KatherineBenElohim also, are you equally condemnatory of Reform Jews (the majority of religious Jews today, I would think) who don't require the keeping of kosher? (I understand that some Reform Jews do, and some do at certain times of the year, but it's not kept like in Orthodox circles).
The New Testament didn't exist (and couldn't' have existed) prior to the incarnation and sacrifice of Christ.
@KatherineBenElohim to put it in terms you will understand... Yahshua/Yeshua Mosiach is YHWH incarnate. He is the mediator of a NEW covenant between God and man, not simply somebody telling us to keep following the covenant with Moses. Muslims use this same argument, to say that Jesus introduced nothing new, but it's simply false. You've studied the New Testament, so you know this, right? No offense.
@KatherineBenElohim Jesus Christ (Yahshua/Yeshua the Mosiach/Messiah) is God incarnate. He is not the Father, but he is the Son. He is not a mere human being "adopted" by God. He is not a creature like Elijah, or Moses, Adam or any of the angels or archangels. The Son, the Word (Logos) existed eternally with the Father. There was never a time when the Son did not exist. There is only ONE God, not two, not three. Three eternal persons in one God.
@KatherineBenElohim as you can tell I'm not an Arian. I don't believe that God the Son was a creature. I am not a Modalist (who believes that there's only one divine person who changes "hats" or relates to us in different ways at different times only). I am not a Jehovah's Witness who believes Jesus is an archangel. I am not a Hindu who thinks he is just one of many "sons of gods" who have come (avatars). I am not a Deist who thinks he was "just a good man."
@KatherineBenElohim to worship a mere creature would be idolatry. But Jesus commanded us to worship Him and accepted worship. His followers worshiped him and continue to do so. Hence, either Jesus commanding idolatry (hence he was NO prophet and certainly not a "good teacher") or else we should do as He said. No prophet or angel of the Lord ever made such claims as Jesus did. You don't believe he was insane or a liar and there's no evidence of a conspiracy. So why not take him at his word?
But let's say you don't trust the New Testament. Let's say you're one of those folks who thinks it was corrupted or something. We can appeal to other ancient Christian writings, the apostolic fathers, the early Church fathers and so forth. We can quite clearly see that what the New Testament taught was what the early Christians believed. this idea that you had to keep the entire Torah AND do what Christ taught to be saved is alien to their teaching.
@KatherineBenElohim, but let me warn you if you do decide to go down that route (of the "corruption" angle), you're going to have to back up this case, because anybody can claim something is corrupted, in order to insert whatever they want to believe into the text. They can just claim it was erased or changed by some corrupter later. But without evidence of that original content, they have no case. It's just wishful thinking. it could be anything.
@HouriBee, pagan gods were worshiped every day of the week and all of the names are inspired by pagan objects of worship. Surely this is not a reason to not observe the Lord's Day. He rose from the dead on Sunday and this was the reckoning of the Church since the beginning. I'm not convinced by the idea that he actually rose on the Sabbath. But I'm open to being proven wrong from scripture, reason and history.
@HouriBee, also, I've seen no evidence that there was any "pagan holiday" called "Easter" introduced by Constantine (or "celebrated by Herod" or any some such). Easter is simply a colloquial name given to Pascha, which has always been the celebration of the resurrection of Christ. The fact that it's celebrated on different days in the East and the West is simply based on the calendars used. I don't believe certain calendars are inspired by God, do you? So let's talk further in PM.
"Easter" is simply the popular slang term in the West for the ancient Christian celebration of "Pascha" (which is not identical to the ancient Jewish "Passover" although that's the literal translation of the word). The Eastern churches celebrate "Pascha" the same as the Western churches. The only difference is the calendar used. I doubt God is angry because of a calendar.
there's nothing pagan about easter. Most people who celebrate it have never heard of these pagan gods, much less worship them. If one doesn't believe Jesus Christ rose from the dead, I could see why one would reject "Easter" (Pascha). iconoclastic folks have been trying for years to get people to change their entire culture, language and thought, because of some perceived "taint" of paganism lurking in the shadows. this is misguided, to say the least.
@XSC3 Jesus being God is an DOCTRINE OF DEVILS. Christ is the son of THE MOST HIGH. Yes he's part of the God Head, but no he is not God. This is Jesus talking(Joh 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.) He didn't say he came 2 do his own will!!! Jesus is in unison with the FATHER & Holy Spirit, but he's not God. He told them all over the NEW TESTAMENT.
Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but GOD.
@dbrisco77 Jesus being God is not the "doctrine of Devils."
If Jesus isn't God... THEN THE NEW TESTAMENT IS FALSE. In fact, all the Christian documents of the early centuries are false too, because they all assert the deity of Christ. If you reject this doctrine, you're no Christian, sorry. The Gospel of John is the most explicit defense of the deity of Christ of any book, so quoting it to disprove the doctrine is laughable.
Next, anyone who says that we cannot worship God in any language but Hebrew, is incorrect. Paul preached in Greek, the New Testament itself was originally written in Greek (no evidence exists of any "Hebrew" or Aramaic original, apart from a few ancient claims of a lost "Hebrew" Matthew). Aramaic and Greek are not the only languages God recognizes.
@XSC3 I never said you cannot worship God in any langusge, but you can't deny the Hebrew tongue. Jesus spoke to Paul in Hebrew...He didn't speak to him in Greek...let's get scripture proof & stop philosphying
Act 26:14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. (this was Jesus talking to Paul in Hebrew)
@dbrisco77 sorry, but Matthew isn't a gospel you can use to attack the deity of Christ either... here is just one of many passages that refutes you: Matthew 16:15-17 "But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven."
The Jewish Sabbath and the Christian "Lord's Day" were two different things. Under the new covenant, Christians are no longer obligated to keep the 7th day Sabbath according to the Mosaic law. Christ himself is now our "Sabbath." Christians have been gathering to pray, break bread (eucharist), preach, and gather collections for the poor and the churches on Sunday for 2,000 years. it is no sin, but for God's glory that we do this.
@XSC3 No sir...That is totally incorrect!!!!! 1st of Yall, show me where God changed any of his commandments, because honoring the Sabbath is the only commandment he says to remember(Exodus 20:8) Malachai 3:6 I am the Lord, I change not!!!! You think you know more than you know, you are completely off! Everytime in the GREEK for 1st day of the WEEK it says SABBATH.
Of Hebrew origin [H7676]; the Sabbath (that is, Shabbath), or day of weekly repose from secular avocations (also the observance or institution itself); by extension a se'nnight, that is, the interval between two Sabbaths; likewise the plural in all the above applications: - sabbath (day), week.
@XSC3 WHAT?!?!?! Christians are no longer to keep the Sabbath?!!!! SMH. Constantine changed the Sabbath to Sunday to fit paganism into Christianity. The Catholic Church is wicked, full of lies, and so is the POPE!
@HouriBee That is correct. You don't need to keep the ceremonial law of the Jews as a Christian. That means you don't need circumcision, kosher, festivals, special garments, ritual washings, and yes, you don't even need to keep the 7th day Sabbath. If you are a Christian, there is a day appointed for you, Sunday, and it has nothing to do with solar worship or pagan gods. However as Paul taught (why is he still in your bible?), if you prefer to keep another day or all days holy, that's on you.
@XSC3 Who told you this nonsense? Saturday is appointed to Christians, not Sunday. "Man" changed the Sabbath worship to Sunday despite what you think. You can't twist the Ten Commandments to fit your needs. These are basic Laws and not hard to abide by.
@HouriBee my point is, as the apostle Paul taught (inspired by Christ), if you WANT to keep the Jewish Law (as best you can), go for it. But what you cannot do, is condemn others for living in the freedom given by Christ, which means they do not need to follow it. Please re-read the New Testament, and study the early history of the Church. Why do you attack the Catholic Church? who taught you to do this? Think hard.
@HouriBee if righteousness comes from keeping the Law, well who got it right? Many groups have come claiming to have the true interpretation and of course, attack the Catholic Church as their "boogeyman." is it the seventh day adventists? The "black hebrew israelites"? The Jehovah's Witneses? Herbert W. Armstrong and his "Church of God" groups? The Mormons? Who? They contradict each other, and each of them is a late comer to the world stage.
@XSC3 All Christians have it wrong if you ask me. lol. Isn't it funny how all Christians sects can't get it right. Muslims are the only ones who has it together.
@HouriBee Paul taught that keeping the Law perfectly was impossible, but that wasn't the point of the Law. the point is that it showed that we needed a savior and Christ fulfilled it. If you keep it today, no harm. If you trust in your own righteousness, that's a problem. if you condemn others for not keeping every jot and tittle, that's an even bigger problem. Colossians 2:16. in fact, re-read colossians, hebrews, galatians, 1 corinthians, and romans, and tell me I'm wrong.
@XSC3 You are obsessed with Paul aren't you? Lol. No one is perfect and this is true. If it wasn't a bi deal than the Catholic Church would NOT have changed it in the first place. Have you ever asked yourself why they changed it? I don't condemn others, you are condemning yourselves. That's the problem.
@HouriBee I'm saying that Paul wrote a good deal about what Christians were supposed to do regarding the Jewish Law (the Torah, the Mosaic covenant, the traditions of the elders and so on). Paul was an apostle. His letters are inspired Scripture. if you disagree, then fine. But if you regard his words as scripture, then I wonder how you can maintain that we are required to keep the Mosaic Law to this day, as disciples of the Lord Jesus.
@HouriBee I'm saying we are no longer under the Old Covenant (the Law of Moses). Hence, while in the New Covenant some things are similar (ie: do not murder, do not covet, do not commit adultery, love the Lord your God and neighbor, etc), they are not identical. Hence, circumcision, the sabbath observance, keeping kosher, etc. (all equally important parts of the Mosaic Law) are not required of Christians since Christ rose and established his Church upon earth. I would like to discuss further.
@XSC3 Sadly, you're mistaken. Each Covenant of Elohim/G-d BUILDS upon the Covenant before it: NONE is destroyed! Would you destroy the FOUNDATION of your house, once the roof is in place? Who GAVE Moses the Commandments on Mt. Sinai: Didn't you realize, it WAS YESHUAH? Yeshuah, whom the World calls J-sus, IS the One whom Moses saw; for it is written, NO MAN CAN SEE ELOHIM/G-D AND LIVE. There are also, 1,050 ADDITIONAL Commandments in the Renewed Covenant, aka New Testament. :) 1,050 MORE
@KatherineBenElohim Paul taught that we didn't need to keep various of the Old Testament commandments. So either Paul is wrong, or else what I'm saying has merit. I'd be happy to see a list of these "1,050 more" commandments of the New Covenant, but in that process again, we'd see that various of the 613 (or 615) are dropped. That would prove what I've been saying which is that the Torah covenant is no longer required of Christians. It has changed.
@HouriBee Constantine had nothing to do with it, incidentally. The "Lord's Day" was always Sunday, and Christians kept it as early as the first century. The Jewish sabbath (7th day) went away over time mostly due to the influx of gentiles into the church. But it's all there in the new testament. You don't need to worry about what some 19th century self-proclaimed "prophet" said about this. people worry over this unnecessarily.
@HouriBee just send me a private message. Much easier than cluttering up this chat box with the character limit. I'm not interested in impressing anyone, just comparing your evidence for your beliefs with mine. Faith is faith, but at least I think our faith should be informed as possible. We both are arguing about historical issues connect with faith, so I am assuming if you believe something, you have firm foundation for it. PM me.
@HouriBee The "Sabbath day" and the "Lord's Day" are different yes. I'm saying that regardless of what day you call "the sabbath" that Christians are not obligated to keep the observance from the Mosaic Law as kept by the Jews (keeping the 7th day holy by not working from Friday sundown to saturday sundown, the shabbat ceremony, etc). if you do these things fine, I'm saying you are not sinning by not doing them.
@HouriBee You say the Catholic Church is "wicked"? Point to me any religious body or tradition that is not "wicked." There are wicked sinners in every group, and always will be (until the consumption of all things at the end of time). But the presence of sinners in a group does not make that group's teachings wrong per se. If anything, the Catholic Church is right, since it has always maintained that men are sinners in need of grace. Being a Christian one is aware of one's sinfulness.
@XSC3 Not only the Catholic Church but also the Pope with his wicked self. They Catholic Church is the head above all Church's. The Church itself is wicked, not necessarily the people in it or attend (I have Catholic friends).
@HouriBee what does the righteousness (or lack thereof) of the Pope have to do with it? I was saying that sinful men can nevertheless preach the truth from God (if you don't believe that, then you can't believe the Bible, since it was penned by sinful human beings, and I doubt you believe all of the prophets that were recorded in it were perfect). I understand you disagree with Catholic doctrine. I only question WHY you hold this belief, and maintain that you follow Christ.
@HouriBee if you want to continue this discussion, please send me a PM. I'm happy to answer your questions and prove from the scriptures (and history) that what you say about the Sabbath, and about the Catholic Church, is misguided. I don't desire to insult you, only to help you.
I feel no shame in wishing you a Happy Easter. If this offends you, I would take a hard look about your reasons for thinking it's wrong.
@XSC3 Your looking at me as if I'm so misguided. We should have some discussions and pull out scriptures. I don't mind you wishing me a Happy Easter because I get that all day (Sunday).
@HouriBee I think it is quite misguided, I'm sorry if that sounds harsh. Many so-called teachers have arisen in the past two centuries to try to persuade Christians that the only true way to God is to follow (their private interpretation of) the Old Testament. There are far more than 10 commandments (try 613!). Have you kept them all perfectly your entire life? How do you know which parts of the bible are inspired and which aren't? I'm not sure how you answer those questions. PM me.
@HouriBee okay. The "Easter" issue seems like it's just the tip of the iceberg regarding your disagreement with traditional Christianity. That's why I'm interested. The idea that somehow the holiday is "pagan" because of the name (it's really "Pascha" which means Passover, Easter is just a cultural designation given it rather late in history in certain parts of the world) is false. But it appears that you really have the main issue with sabbatarianism.
Read the letters of Paul again and you'll see that "keeping the Law" is not how we are saved. If you think we can be saved by this, please, by all means try. However, as the New Testament itself teaches, if we fail in one aspect of the Law, we become guilty of ALL. What the Law does today is to point out our sin and show us that we need the Gospel, which is found in Jesus Christ (and the Gospel doesn't work if Jesus is just a man, even a holy prophet).
@XSC3 Matt. 5:17-19 Yeshua did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the Prophets. He came to accomplish their purpose. If you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. We are saved by believing in The Most High, believing he sent Yeshua, and keeping the laws. Yeshua made the path that we are to follow. We cannot believe in the Lord but ignore the commandments and think we will make it into the kingdom.
How does one atone for sins committed? We've all sinned. You can't say you've followed the entire moral law perfectly your whole life (the New Testament says if we say we have no sin, we are liars, and that all sin and fall short of the glory of God, see 1 John 1 and Romans 3. If we break one part of the law we become guilty of all James 2:10. forgiveness is in Christ, which only works if he's divine. There's no more temple to offer animal sacrifices, is there?
@dbrisco77 that's an interesting theory, but it fails by a simple comparison of Genesis 9:1-9. God gives Noah and his descendants EVERYTHING (all plants and animals) as food (with the only prohibition against the blood with the meat). So this builds on the covenant with Adam & Eve, sure. However in Leviticus 11 and on, we see the covenant with Moses TAKES AWAY from this, by forbidding certain foods. Then the New Covenant again makes those foods clean (Mark 7:19, and also in Paul).
Again, this is an open invitation to anyone who is convinced that Easter celebrations by Christians are "pagan" and sinful or otherwise to be forbidden, to send me a private message, and bring forth your evidence. I will happily examine both biblical evidence, other ancient primary sources and modern scholarly sources. I will not however merely take the word of some anonymous website for it, or the ramblings of conspiracy theorists. No offense. I await your civil response.
@XSC3 The "evidence" was Written in TORAH. It was spoken by, Yeshuah/J-sus; are you're avoiding the obvious point. If MEN have rules we are to obey, and we WILLING submit to them, why do we FIGHT against the notion, so TOO does the CREATOR OF ALL THINGS.
Let me ask you a question... is the New Testament inspired scripture ("God breathed"), or not?
I am not objecting to the idea of rules. I'm objecting to your interpretation of the rules that apply to Christians under the new covenant.
A moral person is not obliged to obey an immoral (secular) law. A person who is not under a covenant with God is not obligated to follow the tenants of said covenant, are they?
@KatherineBenElohim. Jesus Christ IS Lord. He is not a mere creator, but is the incarnation of the eternal Son, the second person of the Trinity. So it is not a matter of a man's opinion vs. God's word.
So tell me, is the New Testament God's revealed word (like the Torah) or not?
@KatherineBenElohim the evidence I point to is that the New Testament does not teach that we are to obey all the commandments of the Torah, and that indeed keeping the entire Torah (if such were possible) is not what saves a person. I am not disputing that the Torah is inspired Scripture. I'm asking you your stance on the inspiration of the New Testament. If you just believe it's some ancient men's opinions, then I won't waste my time proving it rules against your thesis on the law.
@XSC3 easter is TOTALLY pagan(only mentioned 1. ACTS12:4). When you go back to the Greek( it says PASSOVER) not Easter. That was inserted in. And I do understand that christians ignorantly honor Paul as your Christ when it should be Christ you guys are honoring. It's funny how you guys screen JESUS thru Paul instead of screening Paul thru Jesus. This is not up for debate. If your comfortable in celebrating Pagan Rituals to false gods.....by all means don't say you were never warned....
@dbrisco77 I'm not a King James Onlyist. "Easter" as celebrated in the West is simply "Pascha" which is the ancient Christian celebration of the feast of the resurrection of Christ, after the 40 days of Lent. To say Christians are "accidentally" or secretly worshiping some forgotten pagan deity on this day is completely wrong. EVERY day on the calendar has been dedicated to some false pagan god at some time in history, by that logic you can never worship the true God because every day is tainted
@dbrisco77 Paul met Christ on the road to Damascus. You can't be a Christian and reject Paul, sorry. It's very funny that people will try to quote the New Testament to prove their beliefs, while rejecting Paul, who is responsible for a great part of the New Testament. Trying to pit Jesus against Paul won't work. Anyway, the Church resolved those questions centuries ago. There's no need to try to reinvent them to start a new sect
@dbrisco77 I don't "celebrate pagan rituals" nor do I worship pagan gods.
I celebrate Christmas and Easter to the glory of God, and there's nothing you can do about it. You also can't quote Scripture (which we gave you) to condemn those holidays. I also don't have a problem with eating meat or drinking wine. If that offends you, I suggest you study the early history of the Church and the formation of Scripture instead of filtering it through Sabbatarian conspiracy theorists
@XSC3 Mat 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. explain good friday 2 easter sunday. Apparently Christians can't count. there is no way you can get 3 full days from Friday sun down till SUNday. you really need to ga back & study 2 find out what you are really worshipping.
@dbrisco77 Except that the 1st century Jews did not count days we count them (as full 24 hour units).
People who worship the Trinity on Sunday are not worshiping any gods, only the true God. To say otherwise is either a sign of dishonesty or poor scholarship. Sabbatarianism is simply Judaizing all over again (see Paul's opponents).
@dbrisco77 that's a problem for you if you read "days" and "nights" as literal 24 hour periods like we reckon them today. By that logic, Jesus was in the tomb for 6 days. He was "buried" (in a tomb, not under the soil) for 3 "days" in the sense understood in those days. Sabbatarians are simply mistaken. What is the "first day of the week"? The Scripture says that's the day he rose, and the day the Christians gathered for prayer/preaching, the breaking of bread (eucharist?) and collections. Oops.
@dbrisco77 True, most Christians will twist it to make it fit 3 days but it still doesn't fit 3 nights. I had someone tell me the sign of Jonah didn't literally mean he would be in the tomb 3 days and 3 nights. That being in the heart of the earth was about something different. I believe he rose on the Sabbath Saturday and died on Wed. Some people believe in the Thurs crucifixion.
@XSC3 Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
@dbrisco77 Don't forget the rest of the passage: Col. 2:16-17 "Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day--These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ."
I apologize, my last comment was directed at KatherineBenElohim.
Each covenant does NOT necessarily build upon the previous covenant. The covenant with Noah permits more foods than the previous covenant with Adam. The covenant with Moses forbade some of the foods permitted in the previous covenant with Noah. The New Covenant in Christ no longer requires many of the things required under the previous covenant with Moses. If you disagree, rip Acts, Paul, and parts of the gospel out of your bible.
The bottom line is that Christians, in celebrating the day of Christ's resurrection, calling it "Easter," playing with colored eggs, chocolate bunnies, and so forth... are not in any way committing the sin of idolatry. They are not honoring pagan gods or worshiping idols. There is nothing occult or sinful about these practices in and of themselves. Just as some decry Christmas for misinformed reasons, so to are those who are decrying Easter celebrations here.
For me these are really none issues, because the Church settled these theological questions (about the deity and humanity of Christ, the canon of Scripture, which holidays we can celebrate) centuries ago. I trust the Church, which is of the Living God (the pillar and foundation of the truth), the bride of Christ, with which the Holy Spirit dwells, over the opinions of this or that fallible man (or woman) who comes along, no matter how sincere
lunar - new moon (the fully dark moon) & crescent observance camps try to determine a "new moonth" their way, which really is babylonian. not theETERNAL's Way. Nature is proof.
Wow thank you,for sharing...I have been wondring about these things in my heart since i was a little girl! Im 48 now, better late, than never..Redeeming the time, redeeming the time...Praise YAH!
Loved this well done video - however there is one correction that is needed.
While Yeshua had to raise Saturday (Sabbath) night, "First Fruits" always fall on a Sunday.
Lev 23:11 He shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted on your behalf; on the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.
Lev 23:15 'And you shall count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering: seven Sabbaths shall be completed.
thanx for this correct vid...that is why easter monday is a pagan day period. all children of Yahweh must treat it as such treat it with dismay...it is not a feast for us
Yoy are not suppose to worship Yashayah(jesus). You are suppose to worship the Father in the name of the Son. The 12 DISCIPLES were not praying to the son! Was Christ praying to himself in the garden of Gethsemane? NO....he was praying to the father. Mark10:18 And Jesus said unto him,Why callest thou me good?there is none good but one, that is God. That's Christ speaking. True he is a part of the God head. The Father, the Son,& the Holy Spirit!
@dbrisco77 according to the New Testament, Jesus Christ is equal to God. Since God has no equal, the only sense one could make of this is to say that he IS God. Otherwise you end up being a polytheist. Christians are not polytheists! If you think Jesus is NOT God, please by all means, rip those passages out of your bible. You can start with the Gospel of John, Revelation, Philippians, Hebrews, and so on... it only gets worse for such proponents. A non-god can't be part of the Godhead!
and I should add, that Paul especially must be the enemy of any theologian who thinks that purer adherence to the Jewish law could ever trump the teaching of Christ or his Church. Since I'm not one of these conspiracy theorists who believes the bible is irretrievably corrupted by wicked men in secret, I simply have to see and believe that what has been preserved has been the truth. Salvation is in Christ, not in giving others trouble about a feast day or new moon, or food or drink
This is the truth. Yehshua was Crusified on Passover (a Wednesday that year) and Resurrected on the Sabbath. Sunday resurrection is a lie from satan to bring Christians into pagan worship. This is proven through scripture, historical records, the obvious bad fruit of lawless Christians not doing the will of the one true and living Elohim of Abraham, Issac, & Jacob.
Jesus will say "Go away from me, I never knew you, you evildooers".
Many Christians today are like the pharisees of old who complain and look their noses down on others allthe while They show that they don't love thy neighbor. Their righteousness is self and for show.
The reason why I ask you if your a Jehovah's Witness or a 7th day adventist is because they have a history of datesetting. that is anti-biblical, Only the father knows the date of the 2nd coming.
Eostre/Ostara is not related to Tammuz, they are very distant beliefs. But you will find that Easter is based on Roman sun gods, Mithras, Sol Invictus etc. Well there are thousands of solar deities worshipped across the world. I think the original middle eastern sun god was Shamash, son of Nanna.
You may have a point that early Christianity co-opted a pagan holiday to bring pagans to the Lord but they are not worshipping Tazzmus, they are worshipping Jesus. Just like on December 25th we are not worshipping Mithras but Jesus.
Jesus was not born on december 25th, the bible itself says so. Stop watching tv and read. Break away from these traditions and repent. For this is right.
I know he wasn't, I am not saying that he was.I am just saying that it isn't pagan worship. I worship the Lord alone. He gave us his son to teach us how to love each other, and died in our place on the cross.
What is better do you think. A Christian who doesn't celebrate easter and Christmas but doesn't love his neighbor and help the poor or one who does both.
Nobody is perfect. No branch of Christianity is perfect but we all love the Lord and love our neighbor as ourselves. BTW are you A JW?
yo i'm sorry but thats not an excuse. these pagans put this holiday out there. and thet trapped alot of so-called christians. i worship jesus too so if theres a holiday pertraying to jesus but doesn't have anything to do with him then why would i celebrate it. thats like laying down in front of a hungry alligator, so why would you do that, same thing with this. the bible itself speaks about easter they even called it easter back then. don't be fooled by society and fake christians honey.
If you have a Strongs Concordance you will see the word translated 'Easter' was originally Passover the feast of unleaven bread begin by the Most High himself when he delivered the people of Israel from Egypt and continued to be observed by Jesus/ Yahshua and his followers. He said 'keep doing this in remembrance of me.' Him being the passover lamb. It was never called Easter had nothing to do with Sunday, eggs or rabbits. Easter is not of the true God or the Messiah our passover lamb. Research
'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.'You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men."
And he said to them: "You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions. Mk 7:6,7
We don't mix lies with truth. The Most High is just that THE MOST HIGH, he is above all. We MUST Worship him in spirit and in TRUTH.
Respond to this video... Do you really worship Yah on Sunday? Satan give blessings too. Understand Satan has holidays while the Yah Almighty has holy days. Saturday is the Sabbath and Sunday is perhaps Satans "Sabbath". Satan wants to be like The Most HIgh.
Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: " 'Love the YHWH your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.
I agree with your understanding of what "wheeping for Tammuz" in Ezekiel means.
However the following part with "men, with their backs toward the Temple of Elohim, and their faces towards the east" -- I believe this talks about Islam, cause that is exactly what the Muslims do. They can stand on the temple mount itself, but still will turn their back to the temple and pray towards east (Mecca).
So I kind of believe it is talking about 'pagan Christianity' & Islam in Ezekiel 8.
this coincides with my understanding so far as well.
are you aware of Yahweh's calender? the month begins on the new moon (moon means month) and the days are not named but only numbered. the whole calendar we use today is pagan and named after pagan elohim. we are not even supposed to mention their names as commanded in scripture. we need to stop saying monday, january, etc because these are pagan elohim. of course this is difficult to do.
i also want to note that sunday is the first day of the week according to our pagan calendar, but yahweh's first day of the week is different each month because the new moon doesn't coincide with man's calendar. i used to think sabbath was saturday, but that is wrong too. it is determined by the new moon/month. thus it is very difficult to observe sabbath correctly when most people have to work.
i pray yahweh reveals his true shabbat and allows his people to observe it.
And Elohim said, Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to divide between the day and the night. And let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years.
The Moon shows us the months (like today is Abib 3) for it was New Moon last Shabbat and this was the beginning of the New Year and therefore it shows when the Feasts of Elohim are to be celebrated. It is great not to think and calculate with the pagan man- made calender any more but with the pure and natural signs אהיה , our Elohim gave to us! HalleluYah!
The funny thing is when people try to connect SUNday with Solar deity worship, they create a trap for themselves. Whom do you think SATURday is named after? The pagan deity Saturn! In fact, all of our seven days of the week are named after pagan gods (or objects like the Sun and Moon which were regarded as deities or representing deities in the pre-Christian pagan world). We know these gods don't exist, so why would worshiping the TRUE GOD on these days be sinful?
Romans 14:5-6: One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.
I guess that is why the last church of Laodicea is said to be "neither hot or cold". Even if you inform a christian of this they really dont seem to care.
if you know and studied the feasts PLUS know how the Roman Cathlics changed passover to Easter to serve their own purpose in 325 ad you will know the TRUTH
I believe it was still considered the feast the Thursday you are reffering to, and it wasnt till the next week they killed the Messiah. And 45 days after that would have been Pentecost.
the common mistake is that the nation of israel today consist of the jews(judah) but that not right..those other 10 tribes are out here in the world today..so-called lost. the jews are just 1 tribe of the 12. benjamin and some of the levites went with judah when they split from the nation of israel. so when GOD says THE HOUSE OF ISREAL he is referring to those other tribes, too. the jews does not make up the whole house of israel. america england australia canada france denmark are just a few
7000ironman 5 months ago
also in ezekiel 8:13-17 when those men were facing the sun worshiping..thats used in churches today..its called sunrise services. mostly used during the easter holiday. the roman catholic changed the sabbath from saturday to sunday (sunworship) that why GOD say use this day (sabbath) as an identifying mark(God;s mark) vs 666(devil's mark). thats why 10 tribes were lost and the jews(judah,,benjamin and some of the levites) are known today..they kept the true sabbath..but the rest are still lost
7000ironman 5 months ago

KatherineBenElohim 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim Clarifing further: Worship FATHER, not the Son: Worship FATHER, not the Elohim: FATHER wrote those rules, NOT THE SON.
KatherineBenElohim 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim.
XSC3 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim where did the Father teach not to worship the Son? I think we need to expand our discussion.

KatherineBenElohim 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim we're not saying there is "no law." This is the classic heresy known as antinomianism. Rather, what we're saying is that Christians don't follow the 613 commandments revealed by God to Moses in the Torah (Genesis through Deuteronomy). Some of the commandments we follow in the New are likewise in the old, but they are not the same covenant. You can't say we have to follow the Torah Decalogue but ignore the rest of the Torah and be consistent, can you?
XSC3 10 months ago
@XSC3 If you understood Torah, you wouldn't say this; for not only do the 613 still apply, so too, do the 1,050 included in the Renewed Covenant. You would understand, for example, it is not LAW at all; but Instructions in RIGHTEOUS and only when we LIVE and STUDY it, do we see, the sin in our lives. For if we say we have NO sin, we make Elohim a liar. Now, how does a person remain obedient to 1,673 Laws? By SEEING they are not LAWS at all, as we understand law to be. :)
KatherineBenElohim 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim the point is, that certain people will pick up the Torah, read it and say "oh see? Christians don't do this, don't do that, or are breaking this" and conclude that these Christians are sinners as a result. The key for interpreting the Old Testament for Christians since the first century has been Jesus Christ and his apostles, and our most readily available source of information for what they taught has always been contained in what we call the New Testament.
XSC3 10 months ago
KatherineBenElohim 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim "religion" is not a dirty word (this is a modern, individualist sentiment). See James chapter 1.
I'm not asking people to believe lies, about the Torah, about Jews or about anything else. I'm questioning these conspiracy theories that say paganism took over and corrupted the Bible, the Church, etc. There's simply no evidence for it, just a lot of petty accusations and misunderstandings.
XSC3 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim where does it say in the New Testament that I must not eat pork?
The only place where we are advised not to eat certain unclean foods is in conjunction with those sacrificed to idols... but NOT because eating such foods somehow honors false gods (and such "gods" don't even exist), incurring sin, but that if a weaker brother observes this, their own weak faith might be threatened. We are otherwise free to eat unclean foods.
XSC3 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim also, are you equally condemnatory of Reform Jews (the majority of religious Jews today, I would think) who don't require the keeping of kosher? (I understand that some Reform Jews do, and some do at certain times of the year, but it's not kept like in Orthodox circles).
The New Testament didn't exist (and couldn't' have existed) prior to the incarnation and sacrifice of Christ.
XSC3 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim to put it in terms you will understand... Yahshua/Yeshua Mosiach is YHWH incarnate. He is the mediator of a NEW covenant between God and man, not simply somebody telling us to keep following the covenant with Moses. Muslims use this same argument, to say that Jesus introduced nothing new, but it's simply false. You've studied the New Testament, so you know this, right? No offense.
XSC3 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim Jesus Christ (Yahshua/Yeshua the Mosiach/Messiah) is God incarnate. He is not the Father, but he is the Son. He is not a mere human being "adopted" by God. He is not a creature like Elijah, or Moses, Adam or any of the angels or archangels. The Son, the Word (Logos) existed eternally with the Father. There was never a time when the Son did not exist. There is only ONE God, not two, not three. Three eternal persons in one God.
XSC3 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim as you can tell I'm not an Arian. I don't believe that God the Son was a creature. I am not a Modalist (who believes that there's only one divine person who changes "hats" or relates to us in different ways at different times only). I am not a Jehovah's Witness who believes Jesus is an archangel. I am not a Hindu who thinks he is just one of many "sons of gods" who have come (avatars). I am not a Deist who thinks he was "just a good man."
XSC3 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim to worship a mere creature would be idolatry. But Jesus commanded us to worship Him and accepted worship. His followers worshiped him and continue to do so. Hence, either Jesus commanding idolatry (hence he was NO prophet and certainly not a "good teacher") or else we should do as He said. No prophet or angel of the Lord ever made such claims as Jesus did. You don't believe he was insane or a liar and there's no evidence of a conspiracy. So why not take him at his word?
XSC3 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim.
XSC3 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim, but let me warn you if you do decide to go down that route (of the "corruption" angle), you're going to have to back up this case, because anybody can claim something is corrupted, in order to insert whatever they want to believe into the text. They can just claim it was erased or changed by some corrupter later. But without evidence of that original content, they have no case. It's just wishful thinking. it could be anything.
XSC3 10 months ago
@HouriBee, pagan gods were worshiped every day of the week and all of the names are inspired by pagan objects of worship. Surely this is not a reason to not observe the Lord's Day. He rose from the dead on Sunday and this was the reckoning of the Church since the beginning. I'm not convinced by the idea that he actually rose on the Sabbath. But I'm open to being proven wrong from scripture, reason and history.
XSC3 10 months ago
@HouriBee, also, I've seen no evidence that there was any "pagan holiday" called "Easter" introduced by Constantine (or "celebrated by Herod" or any some such). Easter is simply a colloquial name given to Pascha, which has always been the celebration of the resurrection of Christ. The fact that it's celebrated on different days in the East and the West is simply based on the calendars used. I don't believe certain calendars are inspired by God, do you? So let's talk further in PM.
XSC3 10 months ago
ISHTAR DOES NOT MEAN EASTER U BUNCH OF LIARS, DECEIVERS AND MISS LEADERS! GO REPENT U VIPERS!
yoyoyoyo4166 10 months ago
stupid christians and your repenting bullshit. you think you know everything, but soon you shall see just how wrong you TRUELY are
DukeVonRose 1 year ago
Paul believed in and preached the deity of Christ (just like the Gospels). So you can't quote Paul against Christ worshipers, now can you?
XSC3 1 year ago
"Easter" is simply the popular slang term in the West for the ancient Christian celebration of "Pascha" (which is not identical to the ancient Jewish "Passover" although that's the literal translation of the word). The Eastern churches celebrate "Pascha" the same as the Western churches. The only difference is the calendar used. I doubt God is angry because of a calendar.
XSC3 1 year ago
there's nothing pagan about easter.
XSC3 1 year ago
@XSC3 Jesus being God is an DOCTRINE OF DEVILS. Christ is the son of THE MOST HIGH. Yes he's part of the God Head, but no he is not God. This is Jesus talking(Joh 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.) He didn't say he came 2 do his own will!!! Jesus is in unison with the FATHER & Holy Spirit, but he's not God. He told them all over the NEW TESTAMENT.
Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but GOD.
dbrisco77 1 year ago
@dbrisco77 Jesus being God is not the "doctrine of Devils."
If Jesus isn't God... THEN THE NEW TESTAMENT IS FALSE. In fact, all the Christian documents of the early centuries are false too, because they all assert the deity of Christ. If you reject this doctrine, you're no Christian, sorry. The Gospel of John is the most explicit defense of the deity of Christ of any book, so quoting it to disprove the doctrine is laughable.
XSC3 1 year ago
Next, anyone who says that we cannot worship God in any language but Hebrew, is incorrect. Paul preached in Greek, the New Testament itself was originally written in Greek (no evidence exists of any "Hebrew" or Aramaic original, apart from a few ancient claims of a lost "Hebrew" Matthew). Aramaic and Greek are not the only languages God recognizes.
XSC3 1 year ago
@XSC3 I never said you cannot worship God in any langusge, but you can't deny the Hebrew tongue. Jesus spoke to Paul in Hebrew...He didn't speak to him in Greek...let's get scripture proof & stop philosphying
Act 26:14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. (this was Jesus talking to Paul in Hebrew)
dbrisco77 1 year ago
@dbrisco77 sorry, but Matthew isn't a gospel you can use to attack the deity of Christ either... here is just one of many passages that refutes you: Matthew 16:15-17 "But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven."
XSC3 1 year ago
The Jewish Sabbath and the Christian "Lord's Day" were two different things. Under the new covenant, Christians are no longer obligated to keep the 7th day Sabbath according to the Mosaic law. Christ himself is now our "Sabbath." Christians have been gathering to pray, break bread (eucharist), preach, and gather collections for the poor and the churches on Sunday for 2,000 years. it is no sin, but for God's glory that we do this.
XSC3 1 year ago
@XSC3 No sir...That is totally incorrect!!!!! 1st of Yall, show me where God changed any of his commandments, because honoring the Sabbath is the only commandment he says to remember(Exodus 20:8) Malachai 3:6 I am the Lord, I change not!!!! You think you know more than you know, you are completely off! Everytime in the GREEK for 1st day of the WEEK it says SABBATH.
dbrisco77 1 year ago
@XSC3 sabbaton
sab'-bat-on
Of Hebrew origin [H7676]; the Sabbath (that is, Shabbath), or day of weekly repose from secular avocations (also the observance or institution itself); by extension a se'nnight, that is, the interval between two Sabbaths; likewise the plural in all the above applications: - sabbath (day), week.
this the GREEK
dbrisco77 1 year ago
@XSC3 WHAT?!?!?! Christians are no longer to keep the Sabbath?!!!! SMH. Constantine changed the Sabbath to Sunday to fit paganism into Christianity. The Catholic Church is wicked, full of lies, and so is the POPE!
HouriBee 10 months ago
@HouriBee That is correct. You don't need to keep the ceremonial law of the Jews as a Christian. That means you don't need circumcision, kosher, festivals, special garments, ritual washings, and yes, you don't even need to keep the 7th day Sabbath. If you are a Christian, there is a day appointed for you, Sunday, and it has nothing to do with solar worship or pagan gods. However as Paul taught (why is he still in your bible?), if you prefer to keep another day or all days holy, that's on you.
XSC3 10 months ago

Think hard.
XSC3 10 months ago
@XSC3 Catholics can't even follow the First Commandment. Are you kidding me?
HouriBee 10 months ago
@HouriBee if righteousness comes from keeping the Law, well who got it right? Many groups have come claiming to have the true interpretation and of course, attack the Catholic Church as their "boogeyman." is it the seventh day adventists? The "black hebrew israelites"? The Jehovah's Witneses? Herbert W. Armstrong and his "Church of God" groups? The Mormons? Who? They contradict each other, and each of them is a late comer to the world stage.
XSC3 10 months ago
@XSC3 All Christians have it wrong if you ask me. lol. Isn't it funny how all Christians sects can't get it right. Muslims are the only ones who has it together.
HouriBee 10 months ago
@HouriBee Paul taught that keeping the Law perfectly was impossible, but that wasn't the point of the Law. the point is that it showed that we needed a savior and Christ fulfilled it. If you keep it today, no harm. If you trust in your own righteousness, that's a problem. if you condemn others for not keeping every jot and tittle, that's an even bigger problem. Colossians 2:16. in fact, re-read colossians, hebrews, galatians, 1 corinthians, and romans, and tell me I'm wrong.
XSC3 10 months ago
@XSC3 You are obsessed with Paul aren't you? Lol. No one is perfect and this is true. If it wasn't a bi deal than the Catholic Church would NOT have changed it in the first place. Have you ever asked yourself why they changed it? I don't condemn others, you are condemning yourselves. That's the problem.
HouriBee 10 months ago
@HouriBee I'm saying that Paul wrote a good deal about what Christians were supposed to do regarding the Jewish Law (the Torah, the Mosaic covenant, the traditions of the elders and so on). Paul was an apostle. His letters are inspired Scripture. if you disagree, then fine. But if you regard his words as scripture, then I wonder how you can maintain that we are required to keep the Mosaic Law to this day, as disciples of the Lord Jesus.
XSC3 10 months ago
@HouriBee I'm saying we are no longer under the Old Covenant (the Law of Moses). Hence, while in the New Covenant some things are similar (ie: do not murder, do not covet, do not commit adultery, love the Lord your God and neighbor, etc), they are not identical. Hence, circumcision, the sabbath observance, keeping kosher, etc. (all equally important parts of the Mosaic Law) are not required of Christians since Christ rose and established his Church upon earth. I would like to discuss further.
XSC3 10 months ago
:) 1,050 MORE
KatherineBenElohim 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim Paul taught that we didn't need to keep various of the Old Testament commandments. So either Paul is wrong, or else what I'm saying has merit. I'd be happy to see a list of these "1,050 more" commandments of the New Covenant, but in that process again, we'd see that various of the 613 (or 615) are dropped. That would prove what I've been saying which is that the Torah covenant is no longer required of Christians. It has changed.
XSC3 10 months ago
@HouriBee Constantine had nothing to do with it, incidentally. The "Lord's Day" was always Sunday, and Christians kept it as early as the first century. The Jewish sabbath (7th day) went away over time mostly due to the influx of gentiles into the church. But it's all there in the new testament. You don't need to worry about what some 19th century self-proclaimed "prophet" said about this. people worry over this unnecessarily.
XSC3 10 months ago
@XSC3 Whooo. You wrote alot didn't you? Should I give you my number? The Lord's Day was NOT always Sunday. Stop fooling yourself.

We both are arguing about historical issues connect with faith, so I am assuming if you believe something, you have firm foundation for it. PM me.
XSC3 10 months ago
@HouriBee The "Sabbath day" and the "Lord's Day" are different yes. I'm saying that regardless of what day you call "the sabbath" that Christians are not obligated to keep the observance from the Mosaic Law as kept by the Jews (keeping the 7th day holy by not working from Friday sundown to saturday sundown, the shabbat ceremony, etc). if you do these things fine, I'm saying you are not sinning by not doing them.
XSC3 10 months ago
@HouriBee You say the Catholic Church is "wicked"? Point to me any religious body or tradition that is not "wicked." There are wicked sinners in every group, and always will be (until the consumption of all things at the end of time). But the presence of sinners in a group does not make that group's teachings wrong per se. If anything, the Catholic Church is right, since it has always maintained that men are sinners in need of grace. Being a Christian one is aware of one's sinfulness.
XSC3 10 months ago
@XSC3 Not only the Catholic Church but also the Pope with his wicked self. They Catholic Church is the head above all Church's. The Church itself is wicked, not necessarily the people in it or attend (I have Catholic friends).
HouriBee 10 months ago

XSC3 10 months ago
@XSC3 Your looking at me as if I'm so misguided. We should have some discussions and pull out scriptures. I don't mind you wishing me a Happy Easter because I get that all day (Sunday).
HouriBee 10 months ago
@HouriBee I think it is quite misguided, I'm sorry if that sounds harsh. Many so-called teachers have arisen in the past two centuries to try to persuade Christians that the only true way to God is to follow (their private interpretation of) the Old Testament. There are far more than 10 commandments (try 613!). Have you kept them all perfectly your entire life? How do you know which parts of the bible are inspired and which aren't? I'm not sure how you answer those questions. PM me.
XSC3 10 months ago
@HouriBee okay. The "Easter" issue seems like it's just the tip of the iceberg regarding your disagreement with traditional Christianity. That's why I'm interested. The idea that somehow the holiday is "pagan" because of the name (it's really "Pascha" which means Passover, Easter is just a cultural designation given it rather late in history in certain parts of the world) is false. But it appears that you really have the main issue with sabbatarianism.
XSC3 10 months ago
Read the letters of Paul again and you'll see that "keeping the Law" is not how we are saved. If you think we can be saved by this, please, by all means try. However, as the New Testament itself teaches, if we fail in one aspect of the Law, we become guilty of ALL. What the Law does today is to point out our sin and show us that we need the Gospel, which is found in Jesus Christ (and the Gospel doesn't work if Jesus is just a man, even a holy prophet).
XSC3 1 year ago
HouriBee 10 months ago
@HouriBee indeed he fulfilled the law.
Tell me, is Paul an apostle?
XSC3 10 months ago
How does one atone for sins committed? We've all sinned. You can't say you've followed the entire moral law perfectly your whole life (the New Testament says if we say we have no sin, we are liars, and that all sin and fall short of the glory of God, see 1 John 1 and Romans 3. If we break one part of the law we become guilty of all James 2:10. forgiveness is in Christ, which only works if he's divine. There's no more temple to offer animal sacrifices, is there?
XSC3 1 year ago
@dbrisco77 that's an interesting theory, but it fails by a simple comparison of Genesis 9:1-9. God gives Noah and his descendants EVERYTHING (all plants and animals) as food (with the only prohibition against the blood with the meat). So this builds on the covenant with Adam & Eve, sure. However in Leviticus 11 and on, we see the covenant with Moses TAKES AWAY from this, by forbidding certain foods. Then the New Covenant again makes those foods clean (Mark 7:19, and also in Paul).
XSC3 10 months ago
Again, this is an open invitation to anyone who is convinced that Easter celebrations by Christians are "pagan" and sinful or otherwise to be forbidden, to send me a private message, and bring forth your evidence. I will happily examine both biblical evidence, other ancient primary sources and modern scholarly sources. I will not however merely take the word of some anonymous website for it, or the ramblings of conspiracy theorists. No offense. I await your civil response.
XSC3 10 months ago
@XSC3 The "evidence" was Written in TORAH. It was spoken by, Yeshuah/J-sus; are you're avoiding the obvious point. If MEN have rules we are to obey, and we WILLING submit to them, why do we FIGHT against the notion, so TOO does the CREATOR OF ALL THINGS.
KatherineBenElohim 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim
XSC3 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim. Jesus Christ IS Lord. He is not a mere creator, but is the incarnation of the eternal Son, the second person of the Trinity. So it is not a matter of a man's opinion vs. God's word.
So tell me, is the New Testament God's revealed word (like the Torah) or not?
XSC3 10 months ago
@KatherineBenElohim the evidence I point to is that the New Testament does not teach that we are to obey all the commandments of the Torah, and that indeed keeping the entire Torah (if such were possible) is not what saves a person. I am not disputing that the Torah is inspired Scripture. I'm asking you your stance on the inspiration of the New Testament. If you just believe it's some ancient men's opinions, then I won't waste my time proving it rules against your thesis on the law.
XSC3 10 months ago
@XSC3 easter is TOTALLY pagan(only mentioned 1. ACTS12:4). When you go back to the Greek( it says PASSOVER) not Easter. That was inserted in. And I do understand that christians ignorantly honor Paul as your Christ when it should be Christ you guys are honoring. It's funny how you guys screen JESUS thru Paul instead of screening Paul thru Jesus. This is not up for debate. If your comfortable in celebrating Pagan Rituals to false gods.....by all means don't say you were never warned....
dbrisco77 1 year ago
@dbrisco77 I'm not a King James Onlyist. "Easter" as celebrated in the West is simply "Pascha" which is the ancient Christian celebration of the feast of the resurrection of Christ, after the 40 days of Lent. To say Christians are "accidentally" or secretly worshiping some forgotten pagan deity on this day is completely wrong. EVERY day on the calendar has been dedicated to some false pagan god at some time in history, by that logic you can never worship the true God because every day is tainted
XSC3 1 year ago
@dbrisco77 Paul met Christ on the road to Damascus. You can't be a Christian and reject Paul, sorry. It's very funny that people will try to quote the New Testament to prove their beliefs, while rejecting Paul, who is responsible for a great part of the New Testament. Trying to pit Jesus against Paul won't work. Anyway, the Church resolved those questions centuries ago. There's no need to try to reinvent them to start a new sect
XSC3 1 year ago
@dbrisco77 I don't "celebrate pagan rituals" nor do I worship pagan gods.
I celebrate Christmas and Easter to the glory of God, and there's nothing you can do about it. You also can't quote Scripture (which we gave you) to condemn those holidays. I also don't have a problem with eating meat or drinking wine. If that offends you, I suggest you study the early history of the Church and the formation of Scripture instead of filtering it through Sabbatarian conspiracy theorists
XSC3 1 year ago
@XSC3 Mat 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. explain good friday 2 easter sunday. Apparently Christians can't count. there is no way you can get 3 full days from Friday sun down till SUNday. you really need to ga back & study 2 find out what you are really worshipping.
dbrisco77 1 year ago
@dbrisco77 Except that the 1st century Jews did not count days we count them (as full 24 hour units).
People who worship the Trinity on Sunday are not worshiping any gods, only the true God. To say otherwise is either a sign of dishonesty or poor scholarship. Sabbatarianism is simply Judaizing all over again (see Paul's opponents).
XSC3 1 year ago
@dbrisco77 that's a problem for you if you read "days" and "nights" as literal 24 hour periods like we reckon them today. By that logic, Jesus was in the tomb for 6 days. He was "buried" (in a tomb, not under the soil) for 3 "days" in the sense understood in those days. Sabbatarians are simply mistaken. What is the "first day of the week"? The Scripture says that's the day he rose, and the day the Christians gathered for prayer/preaching, the breaking of bread (eucharist?) and collections. Oops.
XSC3 1 year ago
@dbrisco77 True, most Christians will twist it to make it fit 3 days but it still doesn't fit 3 nights. I had someone tell me the sign of Jonah didn't literally mean he would be in the tomb 3 days and 3 nights. That being in the heart of the earth was about something different. I believe he rose on the Sabbath Saturday and died on Wed. Some people believe in the Thurs crucifixion.

@XSC3 Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
dbrisco77 1 year ago
@dbrisco77 Don't forget the rest of the passage: Col. 2:16-17 "Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day--These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ."
XSC3 1 year ago

Well done!

The Father, the Son,& the Holy Spirit!
dbrisco77 2 years ago
@dbrisco77 according to the New Testament, Jesus Christ is equal to God. Since God has no equal, the only sense one could make of this is to say that he IS God. Otherwise you end up being a polytheist. Christians are not polytheists! If you think Jesus is NOT God, please by all means, rip those passages out of your bible. You can start with the Gospel of John, Revelation, Philippians, Hebrews, and so on... it only gets worse for such proponents. A non-god can't be part of the Godhead!
XSC3 1 year ago
and I should add, that Paul especially must be the enemy of any theologian who thinks that purer adherence to the Jewish law could ever trump the teaching of Christ or his Church.

No Church is 100% pure

Eostre/Ostara is not related to Tammuz, they are very distant beliefs. But you will find that Easter is based on Roman sun gods, Mithras, Sol Invictus etc. Well there are thousands of solar deities worshipped across the world. I think the original middle eastern sun god was Shamash, son of Nanna.

You may have a point that early Christianity co-opted a pagan holiday to bring pagans to the Lord but they are not worshipping Tazzmus, they are worshipping Jesus. Just like on December 25th we are not worshipping Mithras but Jesus.
AVoiceCrying33 2 years ago
Jesus was not born on december 25th, the bible itself says so. Stop watching tv and read. Break away from these traditions and repent. For this is right.
Luckthedon7 2 years ago
I know he wasn't, I am not saying that he was.I am just saying that it isn't pagan worship. I worship the Lord alone. He gave us his son to teach us how to love each other, and died in our place on the cross.
What is better do you think. A Christian who doesn't celebrate easter and Christmas but doesn't love his neighbor and help the poor or one who does both.
Nobody is perfect. No branch of Christianity is perfect but we all love the Lord and love our neighbor as ourselves. BTW are you A JW?
AVoiceCrying33 2 years ago
yo i'm sorry but thats not an excuse. these pagans put this holiday out there. and thet trapped alot of so-called christians. i worship jesus too so if theres a holiday pertraying to jesus but doesn't have anything to do with him then why would i celebrate it. thats like laying down in front of a hungry alligator, so why would you do that, same thing with this. the bible itself speaks about easter they even called it easter back then. don't be fooled by society and fake christians honey.
Luckthedon7 2 years ago
If you have a Strongs Concordance you will see the word translated 'Easter' was originally Passover the feast of unleaven bread begin by the Most High himself when he delivered the people of Israel from Egypt and continued to be observed by Jesus/ Yahshua and his followers. He said 'keep doing this in remembrance of me.' Him being the passover lamb. It was never called Easter had nothing to do with Sunday, eggs or rabbits. Easter is not of the true God or the Messiah our passover lamb. Research

LoveGodEndlessly 2 years ago
nice video.
this coincides with my understanding so far as well.
are you aware of Yahweh's calender? the month begins on the new moon (moon means month) and the days are not named but only numbered. the whole calendar we use today is pagan and named after pagan elohim. we are not even supposed to mention their names as commanded in scripture. we need to stop saying monday, january, etc because these are pagan elohim. of course this is difficult to do.
juhlsspencer 2 years ago
i also want to note that sunday is the first day of the week according to our pagan calendar, but yahweh's first day of the week is different each month because the new moon doesn't coincide with man's calendar. i used to think sabbath was saturday, but that is wrong too. it is determined by the new moon/month. thus it is very difficult to observe sabbath correctly when most people have to work.
i pray yahweh reveals his true shabbat and allows his people to observe it.
juhlsspencer 2 years ago
yahweh's calendar is thus:
month 1, month 2, month 3, etc.
no names.
each month the shabbat will end the week so the shabbat will be on the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th day of the month.
so in january shabbat could be every thursday, then in february it could be every friday.
does this make sense?
juhlsspencer 2 years ago
The Moon was created on the fourth day (Genesis 1:14-19). The counting of the days for the Shabbat start already with the first day of Creation.
Genesis 1:14
And Elohim said, Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to divide between the day and the night. And let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years.
ServeForElohimsGlory 2 years ago
The Moon shows us the months (like today is Abib 3) for it was New Moon last Shabbat and this was the beginning of the New Year and therefore it shows when the Feasts of Elohim are to be celebrated. It is great not to think and calculate with the pagan man- made calender any more but with the pure and natural signs אהיה , our Elohim gave to us! HalleluYah!
ServeForElohimsGlory 2 years ago
i'm thinking about gen 1:14.
does this mean that the days of the week never change with the new moon?
if the new moon starts on the 5th day of the week it is still the 5th day of the week? we don't start over?
i am having difficulty understanding this.
juhlsspencer 2 years ago
yes, the days of the week are counted from Shabbat to Shabbat and the New Moon showes the months and the Feasts of Elohim.
ServeForElohimsGlory 2 years ago
The funny thing is when people try to connect SUNday with Solar deity worship, they create a trap for themselves. Whom do you think SATURday is named after? The pagan deity Saturn! In fact, all of our seven days of the week are named after pagan gods (or objects like the Sun and Moon which were regarded as deities or representing deities in the pre-Christian pagan world). We know these gods don't exist, so why would worshiping the TRUE GOD on these days be sinful?
XSC3 1 year ago
Romans 14:5-6: One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.
