So a person who WANTS to be taken out of their comfort zone prays for it to happen and this is an example of a powerful prayer? Sounds like a self fulfilling prayer to me. People learning from bad experiances in their lifes? Also a self fulfilling prayer, these things happen all the time with no prayer required.
It looks like you're looking at everyday life and calling it god responding to prayer for no good reason. What exactly makes these things intervention by a supernatural being?
@SamNoble89 I don't agree. I know that God has changed my heart for people and for things that there really isn't any explanation for. God has put me in situations that are SO specific to leading me in the direction I need to go it is so clear, it's amazing. While you can do what you want to do and say God sent you down that path, it is not as easy to explain the way God changes you from the inside out to care for things you used to hate.

Things we need/want, it is up to us to go out and get them. God doesn't provide physical things, He provides wisdom, strength, courage and love so that we can use our free will in a productive, positive way. Those are th things I pray for. I ask him to remove temptation and give me wisdom!! Never for items!
@QuestionChrist that would all be bias, wouldn't it? besides... there is no real faith community here at my place... altho i was thinking, back in the day, to start something similar... but you can't really start it solo... you need 3-4 people :) and "definitive"... well depends... if we're talking proof for the existence of god... something big... if we're talking about paying for guidance back as a believer... something like a pamphlet with "join the army" would have sufficed.. for example ofc

i've used to pray "god, show me what to do"... he never showed me anything so i just stopped believing and kept on living as i did before :)
