  • WOAH I HAVE THE EXZACHT SAYME BEEG RAYDEOH

  • GIGANTOOOOOOOOR

  • I must also mention that not every AM radio has the difference between heterodyne and dial frequencies set to 445 KHz. My radio I use as a transmitter (Kipo KB-AC807) has around 600-700 KHz difference. So the dials setup will completely depend on the chosen radios.

  • Thanks a lot! Original video didn't mention that variable transmitter antenna musn't be connected to anything so my setup was wrong and didn't work. Now I'll try to resolder the antenna. Thanks again. :)

  • very well done. quite informative. i am making one right at this moment. having trouble setting the 1500 and 1045 on a dial tuner. thinkin about hitting the local flea market and grabbing some digital tuner radios.U think that would work just as well or would there be yet more interferance? also, you checkd out the drawdio thing? works on the same principle only it fits on any normal pencil. or you can use it on a paint brush with water. very cool. give it a look. keep up the good work! :)

  • hey, any idea how close these things can be near each other without interference? say if u wanted to make 6 of them (18 radios) and put them in a room?

  • Fun,fun fun.

    I like the song,too!

  • it might um be eaiser to um buy a um moog theremin guts on um ebay.

lol good job finding this out i have a homemade one.

  • I just started work on a mini one I'm Finns make it with a small wooden box....still need to buy more parts...I'm trying to make a mini guitar amp/ theremin so I'm gunna use a kill switch type thing

  • Nice use of the propaganda comrade

    All hail Steel

  • And this buried the Trautonium?

  • great explanation! you could take care of your volume control i guess by manually manipulating the volume on the broadcast radio. thats pretty much how it works anyway

  • That was a really good demonstration. Actually, I am going to make one very soon. But why do you deprecate yourself so much? It is not easy to give a demonstration like that. So, thumbs-up to you!

  • oh! whats the Hz thing???

  • hertz

  • loved it !!! im making one for my science fair. i had to google about every second word but thanks alot!

  • Hi! I've been trying to make this for a while now, but I am confused a bit. The variable transmitter is the one that I opened up and soldered, correct? That particular radio's tuning nob works, however the needle that shows which frequency I'm on doesn't move. Therefore I am having a hard time getting it to a certain frequency. Do I need to set the receiver to a certain frequency? All I know is that 2 radios are both at 1045kHz. How do I go about making this. I don't want to open another radio.

  • @schetleft dude! i have that EXACT problem! haha my othre one is it only changes pitch if i touch the terminal, not when i move my had near the anntennea

  • haha i say uhm and uhh alot when i'm talking too

  • R2D2

  • awesome! now if only i had the motivation to actually do it! LOL
