Counter-steering or not, he just miscalculated the second corner as he just didn't 'cut' the corner right. When leaving the corner and going for a straight line, then its safe to change gears aaaight!
Straight away youy could tell the guy has no steering sensitivity with the way he flicked the lock off coming out of that first corner. Then when he mounts the kerb, he's both slow and inaccurate with the application of opposite lock.
@deepsnoozer I agree with you, except that throttle part... I also drive M3 E36 and drift with it a lot... He did correctly, less gas put rear end back in control... More gas spins back end even harder... He crashed because he reacted too late, and because his right wheels went off from track ins 1st place...
i am sorry but you should look again at the video, he did counter steer, but i think (i am not sure) he didnt put enough throttle on it.
he did everything right on the steering (you cant steer like crazy to compensate or you will "over- compensate" i am not the driver but i would say that he steered about right, the problem was probably with the car (oil, or bad tyres) but it can also be lack of throttle (i wouldnt say excess of throttle because i cant hear the engine)
You are wrong. I'm driving e36 from 3 years, the driver acted poorly to manage his own mistake. First, he got over the curb with right tires and shifted in the curve which caused wheel spin and the loss of traction. He released the throttle but didn't counter steer enough. To handle the car in this situation, the right steps are hitting clutch and counter steering enough, no throttle.
i'd be happy i were still alive after that crash... then i'd never drive the race track again unless i seeked long-term classes at a professional race track school..
Nice driving. Time to look for a new car assuming your insurance doesn't find out you were racing. If they do you may be completely f*cked especially if the cars not paid for.
Hey so that last commenters probably don't have cars, because your not really expereinced at driving until you've faced your first legit fuck up, where you crashed your car, this might have been his first maybe not, after yor first you just brush it off, but w/e his level, it's a fucking M3 that just got totaled I'd be cursing too
Wieso schlägt der nicht voll nach links ein?!?!

Don't race if you think you won't wreck! It happens to everyone eventually . You should have had the mind set I'm going to crash trying.

it doesnt matter if it's a E36 or not, no throttle in a RWD = understeer
