@Tylerbabexx Quite right it is not true at all...just another publicity stunt. It's certainly got people talking about StormSurge, but it's all negative comments about it...Storm Surge is hardly a good addition to what is supposed to be one of the top theme parks in the UK and Europe!

@1996Coaster Nope that was a publicity stunt ;). Thorpe never planned Storm Surge to go into Monk's Walk and they are not relocating it from the Octopus Gardens site...it will be staying on the Octopus Gardens site. Thorpe Park's marketing department came up with the publicity stunt to gain public interest...it's how Merlin advertise their rides before any major adverts are set up..it costs them nothing to come out with publicity stunts like this.

@Rollercoaster5000 well for having all the good rides & coasters thus them getting more rides & coasters! King of Extreme rides in the UK like a mini Cedar Point!

@koolkillax I agree with you on that point. BUT! Alton Towers recently conducted a survey and the result was that they are still the preferred park for thrills in the UK (they have Nemesis for goodness sake lol) although they are a family theme park. Thorpe has more thrill rides then any other park in the UK so yes they are the 'Nations Thrill Capital'.

@Rollercoaster5000 Well Alton Towers IS near all the major cities & towns so it's more populated & close by! With-it's Thorpe Park is more for Londoners. Also they have Saw: The Ride god-dammit! LMAO! Just because they have Nemesis doesn't mean to say its the best I mean Saw beats Nemesis in my opinion, Nemesis was something back then but now it's different, yet people make a colossal fuss over Nemesis which is quite confusing!

@jethrocomp We were informed by a source that has been reliable so far. The source stated that 3 B&Ms will be going into 3 Merlin entertainments' theme parks (those are Gardaland, Heide Park and THORPE PARK). B&Ms are currently being constructed at Gardaland and Heide Park so we're almost certain that there will be one at THORPE PARK. The plans showed box style track (which is what B&M use) so that was a huge clue for us aswell.
