I watched almost 20 000 videos on YT now (well, at least for a few seconds...lol... than you normally know, what to expect). But there are some rare gems, that stay in the heart and mind, and yours is one of them! I'll keep an eye on your channel and hope there's more to come! :)) cheers...
what a beautiful song.......i just love the feeling this song left me with .......and need to listen at least another time.. already listened twice.. and i still have not fully sunken in all that it has to offer, such beautiful music and lyrics... just love it!
I couldn't believe, there were only 70 subscribers!!! Yes, I think, Dave is outstanding, so I felt free to share.... I was sure, you'd like it... thanks...
The warm acoustic sounds accompany Dave's smooth voice in a great way. The song is pleasent and relaxing, a delight, you can taste as a glass of good wine!
First my thank is for Lilly who has pointed and sharing this video with me. My second thank is for you davemorag1 for this great song and performance. A pleasure for the ear and eye!
Greetings from South Florida, Dave. Once in a while, we're fortunate to find one of those perfect moments where a composition and a performance seem beyond possible improvement or adjustment or interpretation. I would say this is one of those moments, for sure. Absolutely a beautiful musical moment in time. ~Terry
Nice song. very relaxing. What I would do for a nice place like that to go and play. I could clear out my toolshed but my kids would still find me :-)
Nice One Dave! Love the ol' finger pick. I have to get back to that, as I haven't been practicing the finger pick much for too long. I'll have to get back to 'Dust in the Wind' and 'Landslide' - two of my favorite picking tunes, but thoroughly enjoyed your pickin as well. Also love the mouth harp. Boy, your reminding me of the things I need to work on... lol :)
Yes, the originals have added up over the years. I started on guitar, and now am teaching myself piano and that has added an entire new dimension. I love both instruments. I need to brush up on my vocals too as haven't been singing as much, so just like your finger dexterity, etc. the chords (vocal that is) can get a bit rusty too. I look forward to the new world that Pro-Tools and digital recording will provide going forward. I love the creative aspect of it all. :)
Opps, I just realized after re-reading my original comment that the two songs that I mentioned above are not mine - Dust in the Wind is a Kansas tune, and Landslide is by Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac. Both older, but classic songs from the 70's era which is my favorite era for music. I have written some songs with finger picking, but obviously, the titles would be meaningless to you at this point. Perhaps you'll hear them someday. One of them is entitled 'Permanent Bonds'. :)
cont... It's about the 'Permanent Bonds' that were built between me and a large chocolate bar... Just Kiddin' Ol' Chap, but couldn't resist the opportunity for a little song content humour. Isn't song-writing a gas? What an avenue and outlet for complete and unlimited universal expression. Oh, btw, I love the barn or shed in the vid. What a great place in which to escape for some solitude, etc. Are you also raising chickens in there? lol.
I see you love your antioxidants too ;) Holy moly! I enjoyed every drop of when you first started to sing and play. Like watching a movie on the big screen. Beautiful guitar melody and vocal play Mr. Morrison ! Five stars, faved, subbed you bet
Beautiful one !
Thanks a lot Dave.
See you.
