Not a very mature comment. I'm sure you are a fine ball player, but the best ball players never talk bad about another player's game they just respect other players' abilities. Anyway you're 11 and De'Vion is 6 in this video (now he's 7) and you should be able to take a 7 year old.

how do you create a mixtape like this what do you use ?

A friend of mine made this tape using the video editing software on a Mac. I use Pinnacle, but you can also use MS Movie Maker. It is really not that hard but does take some time when you're learning trial by error. Once you capture (get the video by downloading from a camera to the software) the video it is realy easy to add transitions and other simple effects. MS Movie maker comes standard on computers with MS Vista. Hope this helps.

This is an 8U rec league. The goals are 8.5 ft and the free throw line was about 12ft as opposed to the regulation 10ft. De'Vion was 6 at the time but now he is playing on a 10ft goal 15ft free throw line and also in a select/competitive league. He now plays on an 3rd and 4th grade select team. De'Vion is in the 2nd grade. I will post some new video soon.

All the kids were actually 8yrs old or younger as of 9/1/07. They may look taller because the goal height is only 8.5ft tall. De'Vion was only 6 (a month from 7) when the video was taken.

pretty impressive. however i was just like him at that age. bigger than everyone else faster just better. now im a senior in high school at 5 foot 5 and dont play anymore. kids will catch up to him.

I had the same worry regarding his size. I actually played him in some select ball with 9yr olds.  Once he figured out he belonged on the court he quickly become one of our best scores and floor generals. He did have problems with the speed and strength of the other players so we had to move him to shooting guard so that he did not have to think to much, just react and do what he does best...score. Hopefully he will continue to grow...pray for us...lol

De'Vion is tall for his age, but the other kids are pretty average. De'Vion was 6 in this video playing in an 8U league. His coordination and height is what makes him somewhat unique at this age, but believe me everyone else will catch up.

De'Vion- second grade now. Made all A's on his report card. Can you tell I'm a proud Dad...lol. I may actually post some of his football video, this is his first year of tackle. He just may make the allstar team.

Thank you for your gracious comments. I do think Marquise Walker is still a hell of a player, because he can do some things with a ball at 7yrs that some adults will never be able to do. I've also seen him play some real basketball on a few of his videos. Thanks again for believing that De'Vion is better than one of the best 7yr olds I've ever seen.

It's nice to read good comments, Thank you. I must say that I have very little to do with his development. I work with him on his form and fundamentals, but the coordination, athleticism, and motivation is all a blessing from God. I have to make him put the ball down in order to get other things done. I must say that it is a great tool to have to get him to do his homework!!!

Thanks for the kind comments. I've seen Marquise's videos and that is great company to be in. De'vion saw Marquise's video and noticed how well he dribbled so he immediately went in his room to start practicing with his right (weak) hand.
