What socialists(closet communists) don't understand is the difference between "government exploitation" and "corporate exploitation" is only the government can force it upon you. On the other hand, a company has to provide a good/service that is more valuable to you than what you are giving them.(ie voluntary)

Capitalism is superior to socialism in every conceivable way for this very reason.

Protectionism is very necessary here in South America...and countries of South America are generally less protectionist than the U.S.

@Matheus30741 Your english is fine, much better than my portugese. A few facts for you. There are an estimated 90,000 cubans operating in Venezuela at the moments. And I'm not just talking about doctors or teachers or any other "humanitarian" aid. Most are in very sensitive and high military positions like, protecting Chavez because he doesn't trust his own countrymen for that job, there are internal issues even among his own generals and chavistas who believe he's going too far.

The least of Chavez's problems is a US invasion. Not going to happen. Ever. Chavez foi eleito democraticamente e tem o apoio da MAIORIA da população venezuelana. A ONU reconhece isso.

Os EUA só querem justificar outra intervenção militar na América Latina (como eles já fizeram inúmeras vezes com resultados catastróficos e anti-democráticos. Como o apoio dos EUA ao Pinochet, entre outros ditadores).

Most Venezuelans don't want socialism and don't want Chavez. The problem there is that; the corrupt liberals are dragging everyone else down. After all they have the army, weapons and petrodollars to repress independents, conservatives and buy the poor with rice.

Look at all the Venezuelans in the US most are professionals, doctors and engineers. Just the people Chavez hate because, they are dangerous for his ideology.

Chavez has the backing of the majority who are poor. The main ones complaining are the rich. Many of the politicians and political parties excluded the poor and did nothing to improve their lives. However ever since Chavez came along the political parties have been forced to change and are trying. So you could say Chavez does have positive effect on Venezuela. Many of Chavez's program are dependent on oil revenue which has gone down due to the economic crisis. Lack of funds equals no improvement
