  • I love playing this song. I play alto sax. We go way to fast.... no i go way to fast and everyone follows.... Bad Denby bad.

  • the fast was too fast and the slow was too slow

  • mad respect deathstix, your band plays this superbly. I play the baritone part and that first movement is insane at the tempo you take it at.

The clarinet that squeaked in the second movement should have its reed taken away...

  • Tuba part: G G G G G G G G G G G ...... <3

  • DAMN WAY TO FAST

  • 200 is hard to keep! I played the contrabass clarinet on this and was DYING at that tempo. The conductor at least had it towards the end, but after 3 other hard songs.

  • If that were the case then the slow parts would be reallllly slow... The people are moving normally

  • this is actually fast-fowarded. if you notice, all of the people are moving extra fast.

  • wow.. this song is very nice...btw.. did u guys cut the piano part..? because i would really love to play this song in a wind orchestra competition.. Thx..

  • the piano is there.. its just really low .. turn up your volume.

  • we are playing this song in my band this year! im so excited i love how it sounds

  • Same here =)

  • Us too :D It's epic

  • WOAH!!!!! BRAVO. u guys and gals made this sound easy... and it's not the easiest song. well controlled. very good.

  • muito bonita...

  • Did good, sounds like a bari is a bit loud the base of the group should be the tuba.

  • too fast in my opinion, missed some of the really cool parts at the start as they just flew by

  • WOW!!! Excellent!!!! Exceptional control!!!

  • The official recording isn't even THIS fast!!! You guys are BEASTS!!!

  • ohhh trumpet solos how i love thee! <3 this was by far my favourite piece from highschool! XD that and boogie woogie bugle boy..(trumpet player XD)

  • 最初の章テンポ早いかと思います。

    少しホルンのピッチが気になります。

    あと、縦の線が合うともっとステキになると思いますよ^^

    上から目線ですいません。応援してます!!!

  • uhh.........

  • Troll FAIL

  • 1st movement is fast but not that fast, trumpets are off in third

  • essa musica é muito boa...

    perfect

  • first was too fast, second couldn't hear the piano, third trumpets aren't together.

  • WOW! great job this was absolutely outstanding! I LOVE the fast tempo. your style is consistent and overall it just sounds so together. Intonation is also PERFECT! GREAT JOB!! :D

  • It's too fast and the beginning was way disconnected! Maha Bodhi Primary School can play way better that this

  • in just five rehearsals?

  • wait...I think we only had three rehearsals for this piece (there were other pieces in the concert conducted by other conductors....)

  • cool song, it's like a harder version of majestia

  • haha i was at the concert! wished i could play this song. sad, im nt tt good.

  • about 3:35 - 3:38 you can hear a really loud squeek.

  • so? it happens sometimes... we'all know that!

  • your right. ^^

  • Love the song, but i thinks it a lil to fast

  • I CAN TOTALY PLAY THIS!!!!!!!

  • I remember playing this in high school. We got straight ones at festival when we played it. I loved playing the flute part because it was so fun.

  • centuria and aventura are better!! but i like this song too. its better slower though.

  • Comment removed

  • Love it, we played this song when I was in high school, oh good my jaws started hurtin when I was listening because we practiced this song so much.

  • wow the sound is totally fastened unless all those a moving super fast all the time...cant believe no noticed but personnaly i like it better when its a bit slower

  • The pride of Capitol University

  • My last song for high school band... a decent Swearingen song (one of the few).

  • Very nice playing, but the tempo was taken a bit too quick, as it is audibly evident that some instruments were not able to keep up.

  • AWESOME!

  • please can anyone gimme the trombone notes? pretty pretty please, i really wanna try playing it!!!!

  • The opening fast bit is (in the key of Bb) 4/4:G-A-Bb-C-Bb-A-G-Bb-7/8:A-G-F-A-F-A-F-4/4:G-A-Bb-C-Bb-A-G-Bb-5/8:A-G-F-A-rest-repeat and altos join in I believe. Btw, all those were eight notes.

Also, I thought brass people could hear pitch well - I'm a woodwinds person, and I learned that by ear. Because I heard it so many times when I play at All State :D

    Hope you like.

  • Also a clarinet squeak at 5:36

  • oh at 3:37 squeak in a wind insturment i think a clarinet

  • our band played this last year for concert and it wuz the SHIT!!!!

i play trombone and i get the fast awesome part in the beggining

  • 3:37 lol

    great band

  • i played this last year in my school's symphonic band, and it's my favorite piece i've ever played..

i love that composer, as i've played other pieces of his music...and hope to play his music again

  • ima playing tis piece tis year! luv the 3rd part in the joy of celebration

  • Amazing style contrast in this piece.

  • shakey flute solo

  • I was at there , sitting infront , Lols .

They played splendidly well! My conductor there too , LOLS!

  • Luv this song!

did anyone notice that everyone in the audience has black hair/are constantly moving throughout the entire song??

  • Wonderful not comment only woderful.

  • wow.

  • aizai nice band woo...best i ever heard

  • i had the honor of meeting Mr. Swearingen this year. he conducted our honors band for County Festival. he is a very nice man. fun to carry on a convo with. anyway, his music is amazing. im gonna have to say one of my favs from him is Eiger. this one is pretty cool though to. i love how most to all of his music has a story or meaning to it.

  • you totally played it better than my school.

  • i love his song baywood overture better than this.

this scores is quiet hard 4 flute to play.

  • Swearingen is an amazing composer.

We played three of his pieces this year.

He uses the same gimmicks over and over though, so it all sort of sounds similar.

  • I love him as a composer because he writes good song and doesn't forget about percussion I being a percussionist myself he always has good intricate parts and even makes yoou pull out instruments you forgot you had like a slapstick and thetree chime

  • This is a wonderul performance, but not played by the poster =)

  • Of course I couldn't have played it (as much as I would really like to), because I conducted it!!! Duhhh...

    *slaps forehead*

  • are dey play abit 2 fast...??

  • playing too fast?!?! are you abit 2 retarded?

the only reason you would make a comment as stupid as that one is if you've heard it played too slow. this song should light your trombone on fire.

  • holy shit dude it did i played this piece on trombone and i have 2 say it iz without a DOUBT the funnest song ever but damn winters fury took some work!

  • This is the correct speed. I'm in middle school, and we played this song, but we could barely do 160.

  • is the video sped up? kinda seems like it

u guys are really good :)

  • It's not sped up.

  • this song is amazing, my senior class, 08, is playing this as our final song at graduation, it's gonna be sweet

i play baritone and this is probably the best song i've played all through high school

  • This is absolutely amazing. We played this song two years ago and we struggled to keep 180. This gives me chills. It's the perfect balance of fast and slow, soft and loud.... It's astonishing. Congratulations.

  • pay attention to the band director he moves really fast!! lol! :D We play this song at 140. We are REALLY good at 140 but we blow at 200 lols. =) I play trombone the start of the song is VERY hard and VERY fast but fun and intense! :)

  • Great Great job! My 7th/8th grade band played in when i was in 8th grade. I have all the trumpet solos!! It was a very difficult, but amazing piece.

  • My band can play at the original tempo and we have to play this in a band competition against college kids and we're only in 9th grade.

  • 200 TEMPO... my bands lucky if we keep 140

  • there is no marimba II and no bari sax.

  • my favorite part is the change to 5/4 in the first movement. so sweet. lol

  • TROMBONE!!so zai!

  • i actually thought the first movement sounded frantic at that fast of a pace. i personally like it a little slower. Overall though this is pretty incredible.

  • u guys r really good! my band won festival like 4 times! we thot we could do this but it turned out this was like the one peice we had eva don that wuz kinda hard for us!!! ur really good!

  • jesuschrist, my band can barely do 180.

    :O

  • My h.s. concert band played this my freshman and sophomore year and I loved it! Nice job of maintain the 200 tempo. The 2nd movement was beautiful. The 3rd movement kept tempo nicely as well.

  • to abercrombietennis , this concert is in singapore , where we're all asians , so yep . the black hair ! (:

  • its 6/8 not 4/9 i think.

  • it is 6/8

  • I Like Celebration of Joy- The third movement

  • Maybe this should be at 180 instead of 200..? Our band can totally own this piece =D.

However, really the only part everyone likes is Winter's Fury...anyway, well done!

  • 2 tuba's and how many trombone's?

  • supposed to be 6/8

  • i dont see any blonde hair in there lol

  • (abercrombietennis) IS there something wrong with Blonds? I play this and I'm blond, and first chair alto sax D=

  • I have no problems with blondes i actually wanted more blondes i am a blond too and i am talking about the audience like i dont see any blondes there so yea.

  • gah, I love this song!! My band just started playing it so we haven't gotten that fast yet [I think we're still around like 120 and we've got to get to 200]

and great job by the way!!

  • im only in 7th grade and my band pwns at this song lol, but i agree, first movement shud b slower, everything else is good :]

  • very very good band

  • to everybody who is saying it sounds really rushed, IT's SUPPOSED TO BE THIS FAST!

  • You guys are amazing. Winter's Fury was especially well done.

  • the first movement

  • yeah I agree it sounds really rushed like this

  • my symphonic band is playing this for festival and i love it

  • this IS THE RIGHT TEMPO...we are playing it this year and when we first tried it at 200 we were blown away...now we can play it at 240 (that was fun lol, the director got mad but us tubas decided to push the tempo more anyway) but they arent "just showing off" they're doing it right, and good at that!

  • really? why don't you download this song and lower the tempo on Window's Media Player. It sounds terrible when it's slow. Clearly, you do not know what you're talking about yourself so you shut up.

  • jackas, apparently u haven't heard the ORIGINAL VERSION dumbass!!!! this is way to fast

  • You are clearly the "dumbass" here because you can't even fucking spell JACKASS correctly in the first place, neither than you fucking spell YOU. If you can't spell simple words like that, you obviously don't have the intelligence to call me a "dumbass"

  • haha, funny guy :)

the fact of the matter is that i am right and your wrong sir.... don't post bullitens if u dont' know what ur talking about

  • its a tiny bit fast. it sounds normal. thats how it is played so you shut up so "sir" you are wrong

  • it is my band is playing it. we play it like that tempo :)

  • @tubalicious2010 its 240??? omfg that's fast!!!!! the fastest we got it up to was like 182 or something :D

  • wow you guys are really good, i am only in the 8th grade so our band can play nothing like this!!!

  • does anyone know where to find a video of In All Its Glory by James Swearingen

  • this thing is 100% real cause i was there! and my teacher is perfoming!!!...

  • omg we are playing this song right now in my high school and it is my favourite song ever ever ever!! I play clarinet and it's so bloody hard for me! I haven't even been playing a year but its coming =)

    GOOD JOB!

  • I played that song in my Honour Band last year and I played the tenor saxophone and it was so much fun! This year We're playing this song at my school and I'm playing clarinet. It's a little harder but but it's worth it. Great job! ^_^

  • Wow, this is amazing! I played this with a band a couple years ago, although we took the first movement a bit slower (much to the relief of those of us in the trombone section)...if you look closely at around 3:46 (beginning of the third movement) you can see everyone kind of jump in their seats! XD

  • ohmyjebus. into the joy of spring! i love this song. our band performed it last year in concert band. we qualifyed with it, of course. :] i love it. mmm. winter's fury is my favorite. <333

  • this is absoloutely an amazing song

  • Yo thats sooo damn fast! I feel sry for the players playin this piece was a pain! lol but sounds nice gjgj

  • i feel soo sorry for the tuba player in this band!!! we took it a little slower in the first movement and i still couldnt breathe through all of those G's!! good job dude!

  • RIGHT ON!

  • -Alto sax-

  • Ive played this piece at my spring concert, very fun song.

  • sugooiii!

  • by the way, I mean 7/8 time, not 6/8 time.

  • Mr. Morgan, I have play this piece before on numerous occasions and found this to be a suitable tempo myself. As for xxxjeah this group did a marvelous job on this piece. perticulary on their ability to clearly demonstrate six/eight time and dynamic control. They actually made music out of this piece so I don't see the comment regarding their talent as valid. This bands talent is very obvious and I would be honoured to be able to play in such a group.

  • This song is soo cool! I played it in seventh grade but the first part seems as though it is being played too fast. But yeah its really awesome though.

  • Hm.... the first movement sounds like it's being played faster than the 200 bpm it's supposed to be played at. i understand that playing this piece at that speed takes some skill. but i believe that an even greater skill is actually playing it properly.

whatever talent this band has is ruined by the fact that the song's best movement is being played improperly so the band playing it can show off.

  • sorry, but it was way too fast

  • agreed

  • Its not too fast, that is the speed. refer to the soundtrack.

  • mr rasull rocks.(:

and the audiences are sort of.. irritating?!

  • i went too!its was a great concert!i luv their greenhill fantasy and abram's pursuit.not forgettin at dawn they slept.popular pieces played by most band for SYF

  • wow.. you guys were really good!! :)

my band played this last year and i <3 this song so much!!!! great job!!

  • Hello. Mr rasull conduct until very agitated. If he was holding onto a baton, sure fly away one xD

  • HELLO. xd
