Man, videos like this confuse me whenever it comes to the concept of "pain" in relation to running... is pain truly something to ignore, and 'push through', or should it be paid attention to (as your body's signal of saying you are injuring yourself)?
@VistarMonei Pain should never be confused with discomfort. The word pain here was used to describe the discomfort that one feels when running up a mountain. Pain should never be ignored and you should stop if and whenever you feel pain.
Any chance we'll see an update/replacement to the 910? Something with a similar feature set and a better fit?
Seems like NB ruined the 90x line with the 910, switching to the PL-1 last w/ its tight forefoot, low vol midfoot, and sloppy heel. Also ditched the loop lacing eyelets at the top which would allow for some compensation of the oversize heel.
No doubt it's the shape of my feet. I have 11 4E paddle feet too, but the 910s don't fit. The 90x were great. The 910s are narrow, tighter in the toes, much lower volume in the midfoot, and bigger in the heel. The 910 does have a deeper heel counter, which I like. It just sucks that NB dumped the SL-1/2 lasts for the PL-1 on all their trail shoes. PL-1 has a very diff fit, and a lot of the folks who wore the SL-1/2 trail shoes for years don't have any options.
Kick ass video. They need to make a video showcasing the Bay Area trails in Northern California (Marin headlands, east bay, mt. Tam) and film the local runners!

@ideologger 910 is perfectly fine for me. It's probably the shape of you're feet lol I have big paddle like feet
