  • yeah all stupid airlines are the same my camera got stolen along with many other important belongings and all i get back from tsa and the airlines is that they are not responsible, its somewhere in the policy that you shouldn't pack valuable belonging, i will never forget my heartbreaking experience and everyone elses stories, nothing is being done they screen us like criminals make us take off our shoes coats but yet they allow their employees to steal.

  • Another thing, as long as you work for someone, you have no say in anything. You are a passenger, you do not control your ship, the CEO does. If you want to call the shots, open your own business like I did at 18 and do not let anyone control your life. I have never in my life had to call in sick, ask for a day off, or ask for a raise.Lets go back to the days that they had weight and age restrictions for flight attendants!

  • I would not fly US Airways on a bet before the merger with America West. The fact of the mattter is US Airways was only days away from ceasing operations before the merger, that is FACT.Also, all you rude US Airways employees that think that the company owes you something, find another job! I believe that Mc Donalds and Wendy's are hiring, so go there and see how far you get. To the dinosour fat and fugly flight attendants, mix in a salad and for god's sake,if you are over 40 please retire

  • I live in PHL and wouldn't trust the ground crew there with my feces, let alone my bag.

  • sry dude... you should know US Airways allows you to take 2 checked bags 1 carry on and 1 personal item the computer could be the personal Item!

  • Very common story. I have the answer to lost baggage issues. I've joined a new professional lost baggage owner contact service that's great. No more lost bags for me. If you want to know more email me. Cheers.

  • Why is it that no one can call it right? Where is the fucking 'N' in America West?

  • No one should expect their stuff to be stolen when they check bags at airports. Airlines need to track bags better. It´s all part of the price you pay for your ticket when you fly.

  • Next time before you go through this whole video check the back of your e-ticket or paper ticket that you had first

  • Every airline loses things; that is true. However, US Airways temporarily lost our suitcase (they did find it, but only after informing us that they don't even bother to scan the barcodes on the tags they affix to the bags - if it was really lost, they'd have no way to find it, apparently!) Check bags at your own risk. Better yet, use a different carrier.

  • First of all any one knows that you can carry a laptop with you along with the carry-on bag as free allowance and second every one knows also that any airline is not liable for electronics inside bags. You should consider yourself lucky that you received $200.

  • In my case at least, at this particular time laptops were not allowed as carryons due to heightened terror alert levels. No one checking bags at airports should expect to get their bags stolen. Airlines need to be more responsible. Simple.

  • Oh, and another thing. If something like a laptop can get ¨lost¨ (stolen) out of the luggage and taken home by some baggage handler (or TSA employee), I imagine that they can just as well sneak something IN to the airport as well...like a bomb maybe. Food for thought. Aren´t there security cameras monitoring these guys??

  • This is not true. Airline employees must go through the same screening as customers (even if they do get a separate line they still must pass though a checkpoint and a metal detector). Of course there are no checkpoints when exiting the terminal so it IS possible to get out with stuff but not in.

  • Seems to me that if there´s no one checking the exits then it might be possible to bring something through those areas back in to the airports. But regardless, airline baggage checkers should not be able to take things out of the airport that isn´t theirs.

  • dasd adas dasd asd as das das das d

  • Back in August, during a heightened alert due to potential terrorism, I was traveling on United Airlines out of Chicago. I had to check my laptop in a suitcase because there was no other choice. Well, got the suitcase, but no laptop and case.I am PISSED! I´ve not received a reply from my claim yet.To have a situation where one is not allowed to carry on a valuable item like that, and then deny coverage of the item due to their incompetence and thievery is absolutely criminal.Class action suit.

  • I understand how you can be upset with this situation. However, you are blaming the airline for your own mistake. Your rights are spelled out on the inside of the ticket sleeve if I remember correctly. You should have never checked your laptop or anything of value. It is a known no-no that they have never been covered by any airline. You are lucky that you got 200.00. You will never win in court.

  • Hello. I'm sorry to hear about your situation and I understand your frustration. I have worked for serveral airlines, and unfortunatlty, US Airways is not the only one that does not cover items of value in checked luggage. The bad part is that no airline is willing to educate the customer about it due intense competition and the fear that they might loose a sale. Every airline have limits on liability on checked baggage, it's in the small print.

  • hey man -- feel your pain. just a quick note, though, don't waste your time with a lawsuit. when you purchased your ticked you signed an electronic "contract of carriage" which released the airline from being responsible for you laptop. found this document on US Airways web site after a quick search that details what they're _not_ responsible for:

    http://usairways.com/common/resources/_downloads/traveltools/baggage_claim_form.pdf

  • szaryk-----Dude...thanks I found the same document, what cought my eye was the part about the document saying something about them taking resonable care of my bags. I have not submited this document to my lawyer yet but this may be a way to get at them. They did not take care of my bag....they LOST the little sucker. Thanks a lot for the comments I really do appreciate it and it does make me feel better knowing I have someone on my side.---Cheers!
