Rise of Asia is still an elusive hope. Because Asean is hypocrite, China is corrupted and authoritarian. In general, Asia needs overcome huge problem of corruptions and instabilities resulting from huge income gaps, poor health care, potential geopolitical conflicts such as North Korea, Pakistan, terrorism.

So far the rise of Asia is only limited to a few countries and it happens just because of naturally changing order in world economy such as cheap labor and big population.

How would a unified Asia cause the collapse of Europe, unless they got together and decided to bomb Europe. It's more likely that the rise of Asia would be a benefit to Europe, as there would be more people to buy European products, and go there on vacation.

The cultural memes of Asian societies are so different that you would never have agreement on just about anything. Just ask various Chinese, Indians, Japanese, Koreans, Pakistanis, Taiwanese, Indonesians, and so fourth if Taiwan belongs to mainland China. Most Chinese will say that Taiwan is the property of China, but almost everybody else will say that Taiwan is autonomous.

The idea of a unified China, Japan, and Korea seems about as likely as a unified Isreal, Saudi Arabia, and Iran.

Even today, China ALONE is far-ahead of the European Union aka EU, in terms of economy. Imagine if China and Japan combines and form an "East Asian Union".

European Union GDP is about as big as American and Chinese GDPs put together. EU is the biggest exporter in the world leads by far in energy efficiency, environment protection, research etc. It even leads in the Olympics, because European Union countries won more gold medals than China and US put together, with 1/10 of the effort. So yeah, you can say that European Union is better.

Its a place of birth of civilisation, development, human-kind progress. Perhaps we should recognise that unlike East Europe, North Korea continues to have political clout through its possession of nuclear weapons, as with many other rogue states, which poses a great danger to global peace and stability.

Europe on the other hand is uniting and gaining more power every day.

The only ones worth mentioning in Asia right now (that isn't present in europe((Russia)))

is India, China and Japan.
