Sounds more like a vacuum leak than a supercharger. LoLLL I've had three 3rd gen ludes, and yes they are the best. However, deleting the AC will only be regretted. I removed all AC parts on my 88 Si when I rebuilt the motor. Here is what I did soon after:
I replaced every single AC line and the compressor, condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, drier, and absolutely every part with all brand new parts. Now I have a cold blowing AC and I am a happy camper. It is better than a CD deck.
this is a nice prelude...btw way i hate mine cause i've been working on it for like almost a year and theres always problems with it...ive been pushing that car on the streets so many times cause it always lets me down
take it to the Honda dealership, get a full diagnosis, make a list and fix it yourself. The key to your car not breaking down is maintenance not repair. That should help a lot.
They are so much fun to drive! I just boughgt a 91 Prelude SI today for 1000.00. Mint body and 155K miles manual trans. The owner had it garaged. I'll upload vids soon. = )
hahaha i will also buy e prelude soon 1995 with the motor v-tech h22 in it. will but putting a turbo on it. just joined this car world only 19 year:p...excited:p..lol
mean bro check my prelude vid out. wot did u hav to do to turbo it? cause im thinkn of changing the head on mine to a vtec bt a turbo might be beter bt my original head might blow
a vtec head would be nice, but i think it would be easier to just go turbo, the head wont blow belive me, mine has been turbo'd for about 3 months now and i race the piss out of it, it runs nice, 184hp on 5psi
mine sounded like that when i first got it,like the valves knocking, but it was because the timing was about one gear tooth off,
once i fixed the timing, no more knocking from the valves and i could barely even hear the engine at idle, pretty smooth and quiet without any shaking either. it felt like brand new again.
i been thinking that i can fit a centrifugal supercharger where my ac is now...... lets talk, i need a willing test subject :P
