  • Thank you Pandora for leading me here!. O.o

  • I wake up to this song in the mornings.

  • <3

  • just slow sweet nice music, no particular technical skill on playing the piano

  • ofekkt - alheart

  • I just discovered Olafur's music through a documentary called PressPausePlay recently. He's such a young guy, i didnt expect this caliber of incredible music to come from him. I'm blown away.

  • i start out feeling moved and end where few pieces of music ever leave me. joy

  • How... how could anyone dislike this...?

  • Chills from beginning to end. I'm so glad that we are still capable of producing this level of music as a human civilization.. wonderful.

  • This song is so emotionally powerful. It reminds me of when I was giving birth to my son. Beautiful.

  • the first half part make me feel very sad, almost cry out~

and the second half make me feel there is still hope in my life~~~

  • I cried when listening to this..

  • This is so incredibly soul touching. It is simply beautiful.

  • Masterpiece.

  • ★★★★★★★ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

  • this young gentleman must have a really old soul...

this song is too beautiful to be true...

  • I haven't ever been able to listen to this song without crying... Just so beautiful.

  • I'm sorry, but 30:55 is one of my favourite pieces of music of all time and I'm really disappointed with this "single edit" - the pacing of the original was spot on, building up for just the amount of right time and then the lead into the epic, soaring coda from where the drums start is perfect. It's way too rushed here. Maybe I hold the original to too high a level that I'm not a fan of any alterations!

The video I can take or leave.

  • Charlie Chaplin Speech + This Song = Pure Epicness

  • Cant say if I liked the video or the song better >_> Both are fantastic.

  • Piece of art, nice work.

  • 2:25 and on is my favorite part of this song

  • I wish that everytime I listened to this song would be the first time, so I would always get that same sense of awe around the halfway point

  • im confused

  • what does 3055 mean?

  • @zeldanz200 It's the time at which the song starts on the album (30 mins 55 seconds)

  • meow

  • Olafur, you're an asshole.

  • @TreeTopLevel But your work is great.

  • @TreeTopLevel ? why did you say that?

  • oh like olafur can make a track which won't make u click like button and hear it on repeat

  • there is no word to describe what I'm feeling right now......so beautiful...

  • 705th person!

  • 2:00 is where it starts up. this song is amazing

  • I love this song. It's so beautiful and emotional. And the video is utter gorgeous, too- it fits perfectly.

  • ;)

  • listen to this while at rainymood . com

  • I think this is one of the most emotional songs I have ever heard ... beautiful music <3

  • I just heard this in the morning. In the end it left me inspired, amazed, enamored, and in awe. Unbelievably beautiful

  • This is truly a masterpiece.

  • I cant believe Olafur is in his twenties.

  • @Eliza0445 he's in his twenties omg really a true genius

  • Good work!

  • Good work!

  • aural poetry

  • this song in my mind invokes an emotion resembling what I would consider to be biblical. the fall of man will an underling essence of God's grace.

  • when I first heard this song it was on Pandora, and I initially wrote it off, not paying too much attn. Then as it built up about halfway through my ears perked up, then the ride got my heart beating, and as soon as I heard the double bass drums I thought "I can't believe this is happening". toward the end I was on the verge of crying (I'm a 22 yr old dude) the "I cant believe this is happening" part was because I had no idea that a song could have that kind of effect on me

  • I went to this video and then switched tabs, so I basically missed the entire video part, and wasn't completely focused on the music either. Towards the end of the song, I started to focus more on what I was listening to and found myself ready to cry within practically 10 seconds. This is so beautiful.

  • This song was already used for 2011 USF winterguard open class. I love the show. You all should search it up. It may give you a new perspective on the song.

  • I can't wait for indoor guard. This song / show will be amazing!

  • apparently . . . 19 faggots disliked this u_u

must be cus of their lack of soul u_u

  • @mantisolivares yo man, cmon. Don't say that. If you start going around calling people faggots that don't like this music, you start to become as bad as the music that they probably listen to.

  • This is the song for my indoor colorguard show <33 the theme is "It Gets Better" <333

  • I cry every time a piece of music touches my soul, it's like the heavens are sending me a message telling me that I'm ALIVE.

  • i got into this music because my ex loved it and now we're best friends so im always trying to find more like it.... thanks to her ive come to love this style of music and have to say Olafur is one of the best ive heard so far

  • i know u posted that comment like 2 months ago but i totally agree with you dabubbsta1 olafur songs ar beautiful <3

  • perfecto!!!!

  • beautiful

  • This literally brought chills all over my body, and that is something music very rarely does to me. After the chills tears came to my eyes, and that's something music has never done to me.

  • This is one of the first videos I've seen where there isn't a thousand flame wars nor nonsense in the comment section. Just a whole lot of people utterly moved by such a beautiful piece of music. <3

  • @Werewolf1990 yea i found it utterly pretentious as well mate. I'd rather sit through a Kate bush dance recital

  • @Werewolf1990

because we all agree that this is truly astonishing and inspiring music. clearly we're all human beings with a more or less good sense for true music, that is what Olafur provides

  • the drop at 2:49 gives me chills everytime, amazing

  • I think this is the only song I have ever heard that makes me cry, just by hearing it. So manys emotions perceived in one beautiful song. This is a song straight from heaven. Just amazing.

  • absolutely awesomeeeeeeeeee!

  • Speachless.

  • Video user manual -

    Play video 3 times:

    1) turn off sound, watch the video

    2) close your eyes, listen to the music

    3) play it normally

After melting, pull yourself together and repeat all above.

  • @bananek131 thanks for the manual :D

  • what a beautiful :X i like very very.

  • @idis0abad it doesnt go unnoticed, its just that people who really care will notice the beauty of this kind of music. its nothing you can listen to as someone just passing by...

  • The Earth is not a cold dead place. Beautiful.

  • @ChampangeSuperNovaz Explosions! Yes!

  • such an beautiful piece. the contrast between the piano and the drums. ingenious

  • Awesomeness

  • This is what I wanted my last song to be like :( ..... gonna take me a while to get to this stage if ever lol

  • why do so many people this replay button shit? it's much easier to click on the play button oO

and more important: great melody. this guy is awesome (:

  • @TheHorrorkid666 because they want to get thumbs up for some obscure reason.

  • Search Rainymood in a new tab

    Press the first result

    Make sure both are playing

    Sit back and enjoy :)

  • i saw a hand reaching out...

  • what beautiful music for a car crash. 1:02 car spins out of control over a cliff, 1:58 police are rushing to the scene of the accident, 2:27 they arrive and provide medical attention, 3:56 they arrive back at the hospital...

  • @22myvids Have you ever crashed your car to this song? :D

  • @Soulpretender Can't tell if sincere question or just trolling.

  • @22myvids well... the most intensive moment is at 2:50. What would happen there? Should they start driving to the hospital at this moment? :)

  • Such an inspiration to me.

  • My girlfriend and I were in a car accident on the last day of grade 12 in June, I came out with scratches, but she died on scene. This song was played at her funeral for her eulogy. There was a note she had in her diary saying how she loved Ólafur and how beautiful she thought his music was. She would listen to him while sketching things and writing personal notes. I miss her more than anything, she was truly as beautiful as this music.

  • @TheMrDressup Right...

  • @kwiitstorm Don't be a douche.

  • @officerbawden17 Hmmm? Gomen. Gomen.

  • @TheMrDressup fucking liar

  • @TheMrDressup and we care because. . .

  • Can you give me piano sheet music? v.jonas@freemail.hu

  • Once again I put this song on facebook and title it "This is real music LMS if you agree." Still no likes. But I'll keep trying because this is real music.

  • Iceland has some really beautiful and dreamy music.

  • i want to go to Iceland more than ever now...they have some amazing artists born and bred there....it's like a totally different planet to me...

  • A friend of mine, and six others were just killed on August 7th. This song helps me process it all. Thank you Ólafur

  • I hate when I show my friends something as beautiful as this and they automatically discredit it because they don't like that it doesn't have words or a beat. It really saddens me. This song has made me cry at least twice and... I want them to be able to experience that.

  • @dabubbsta1

    true...true...

  • So beautiful.....and a new experience for me.....

  • i wanted to write arnolds but typed arnalds... im a nub but this song is kewl

  • Olafur Arnalds is a musical genius.

  • THANK YOU PANDORA!!

  • @jpm1316 Same, my God is An Astronaut station brought me to this. Normally I just zone out and enjoy everything it plays, but this just made me stop in my tracks and look it up immediately.

  • Manly tears were shed

  • un petit chef-d'oeuvre

  • the drums are a bit strong however the melody is beautiful.

  • olafur just really inspired me to keep on dancing ballet

  • Immanuel Kant used to say that sublime is whatever makes us feel both astonishment and fear...I think that if something "sublime" really exists, 3055 surely IS sublime.

  • LOUISE MAYES IF YOU CAN SEE THIS THEN HELLO THIS SONG IS AMAZING THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME IT :)

  • Oh my. Sometimes I really wish more people like or know of this type of music, so it's considered 'cool' and stuff, because my generation really don't know what they're missing out on. Forget Rihanna and Chipmunk and Nicki Minaj, this is real music.

  • @sunshineeyess you say that but then you go and click "like" on justin bieber's "baby" video. hmm...

  • @kenneyishuang I think you missed the point, I was just stating that music like this should be the most popular. I never said Justin Bieber wasn't good...

Thank you for your concern, all the same. :)

  • @sunshineeyess I prefer if less people know to be honest, because then it just becomes mainstream music. I prefer to be only one of the few who knows Olafur Arnald's music. :)

  • @tejuban Haha, I understand what you mean! I get like that a lot, but then I think about how other people could be enjoying this amazing music.

It's like being part of a secret club! We are the chosen ones. :)

  • @sunshineeyess You are so right kiddo... Glad you can admit that. Much kudos to you....

  • @sunshineeyess I agree with you but would you really want those simpletons actually liking this? Or do you think they would actually appreciate this? If it was only cool and the media told you it was cool, would you have those "people" actually liking this. I rather keep this stuff a secret but share with those whom actually have the metal capability to fully understanding something such as this awesome kick ass song!

  • i put the video in endlessvideo . com

    2 hours and counting ;D

  • I feel so happy, yet so sad at the exact same time.

    This... is beauty.

  • nice moment in my day when i listening this (y)

  • @LifeRequiresMusic - And it's good too. Ya know what I mean?

  • ONE M0:00RE TIME

  • Seriously, do people click dislike because they lack attention? This is beautiful. Stop being Internet keyboard commandos.

  • song is a good!! me gusta megusta!!

  • 0:00 is good

  • Who here thinks this is possibly the most beautiful song and video in the entire world *raises hand*

  • just a couple of seconds in and I've already got goosebumps.

  • This why music is more than a personification it is completely alive and this proves its gives every1 that emotion and feeling to know everything is going to be alright

  • my norweigan friend showed me this song and now I think I'm in love :) If you read this ryan, hey ;)

  • fucking amazing!! full of textures, full of emotions!!!! bravo!!!!!!!!

  • Does anyone know which song this is? Maybe I haven't watched carefully enough, but I don't think he put the song title in here cargocollective. com/oliphillips#1492996/Home TY!

  • I found this by searching 3055 because I saw that number on a power line pole. I simply do not know what to say about this beautiful coincidence.

  • @penguinpoop4 you could write a book about it, or let the music tell what words can't :)

  • @penguinpoop4, you have the best comment and username ever found on youtube.

  • @EvilRipley well then, thank you i guess, haha

  • @penguinpoop4 That is what you call... you lucky S.O.B :)

  • @penguinpoop4 same

  • @penguinpoop4 I think the only reason you got so many thumbs up is because of your username, it's hilarious.

  • @penguinpoop4 that's awesome. maybe someone knew the song and wanted to make a reference to it, hoping someone would understand. I'd like to think that was the case.

  • @penguinpoop4 I think you could say, they both make your hair stand on end. :D

  • this song if too beautiful for people to be in. plus they're kind of cheesy.

  • I'm listening on crappy earphones on a crappy computer which only give sound out of one ear, and it can still make me tear up. There isn't really any more to say...

  • That beautiful piano moment at 3:56 onward takes my breath away every single time...

  • @zalyster
