  • i ment inside sorry

  • wait i been there and you are not allowed to take film. unless you got VIP treatment

  • simi valley california

  • @jrpianosongs The engines are actually very small they are very long though I was there about 3 hours ago and they looked tiny

  • Amazing... how interesting!

  • @4crevis Yes, it really was!

  • why are the engines so big?

  • @jrpianosongs Well, they need to power a very heavy aircraft. You should really ask the manufacturer, Pratt & Whitney, why they made the engine so big. Also, these engines were made decades ago, they did not have the knowledge and technology of today to make smaller engines.

  • The Airplane Can Last 20-30 Years At The Museum And The Helicopter Can Last 50 Years O.O W8 I Thought U can't Take Film Inside The Plane! =)

  • @chrisJR49 haha you can't but I did :D

  • @TheLiLD95 Hhahahahahhahaahahah XD! I Suppose TO Do It To But I Said Ohhh NVM =D

  • @TheLiLD95 I'm not sure for the ban on cameras/videos. But, I'm glad you did it, champ, with all due respect to Mrs. Reagan and the professionals at the Library. There needs to be at least ONE good walkthrough on YouTube!!! :-)

  • @chrisJR49 Both the planes and the choppers, in a climate controlled building, under UV-protected glass? The lifespan on them should now be limitless...only the carpet on them will need to be changed out at certain intervals for foot traffic. None of the WWII Era planes at the Smithsonian, or older...have "worn out." In fact, At the airshow yesterday, there was a B-17 bomber FLYING, certainly harder than a 30 year newer plane just "sitting there." The plane should be there forever!

  • @chrisJR49 Uh....30 years?!? The plane will last forever now in this climate-controlled building with UV-protected windows. Where do you get the idea that this plane will "wear out" sitting here after its meticulous restoration? The only thing on it that will "wear out" will be the carpet, and I'm sure they've got money in the budget for carpet changeouts on a scheduled basis. Just as with the Marine One SeaKing. LOL?!?

  • @chrisJR49 Didn't mean to put two replies stating the same thing...I thought that YouTube had "eaten" the first one, so I essentially typed the same thing all over again. :-O

  • i wastched a documentry lastnight abiut airforce one i saw the primary and back up beside eachother and i swear i saw a sam 2700 behind those planes or was in a sam 2600? if i rook a pic can u tell me wich one it was?

  • @kellyberry It could be either one. I can not tell the difference between the two.

  • @TheLiLD95 why would obama bew using an old plane like the sam 2600 or the sam 2700 didnrt they retire those when reagan left?

  • @TheLiLD95 If this documentary was filmed recently (If Obama was in the film then it was recent) it was SAM 2600. SAM 2700 has been at the Reagan Presidential Library for almost 10 years now.

  • @TheLiLD95 if i took a pic of the plane from the recordiong would that help?

  • @kellyberry When they showed the plane where was it?

  • @TheLiLD95 as the pilots and flightcrew where boardong airforce one in the hanger i caught a glimpse of what looked like an older version of airforce one why would obama be usiong an older plane as a backup?didnt bush retire thpse when reagan left?

  • @kellyberry It was SAM 2600 but he was not using it as a back up it was just there.

  • @TheLiLD95 why do presidents keep the older planes around? are they back ups?

  • @kellyberry I'm not sure.

  • @TheLiLD95 I hope to clarify all the speculation below. SAM 27000 built in 1972 for President Nixon (when 26000 became backup but also served often as primary right to the end) is the one at the Reagan Library. SAM 26000 blt 1962 for Pres Kennedy is at the USAF Air Force Museum in Dayton, OH. Pres George W. Bush flew 27000 the last time aboard 27000 under the AF1 callsign before it went to the Reagan Library. Any shots of Obama on a narrow plane is one of 4 757s normally used by the VP as AF2.

  • I REALLY CONSIDERED GOING TO SEE THIS AIRCRAFT.HOW MUCH ARE ADMISSION FEES TO ENTER THE AIRCRAFT?

  • @levelat350 Its free to get into the aircraft but there is a $5-15 entrance fee into the museum.

  • I NEVER KNEW YOU COULD GET IN THE PLANE!!! HOW DID YOU DO GET IN THE PLANE?

  • .I NEVER KNEW YOU COULD GET IN THE PLANE!!! HOW DID YOU DO GET IN THE PLANE?

  • @levelat350 Through the staircase. . .

  • went there in 2008.... was amazing.. also, the museum was great too!!

  • @AirplaneFlyer25 It is an amazing museum!

  • Loved this! I've been fascinated by Sam 26/27000 for years, and it's very hard to get many pics of the interior. This was a real treat! But I wonder what possible reason they could have for not letting people film inside? It's not like this plane is ever going to return to service, and any secret technology has obviously been removed.

  • @van11111 Thanks!! Very true, it was very hard to get a video but I did! I know what you mean! Why would they let people in it then if you can not video / take pictures of inside? Glad you enjoyed the video!

  • Very cool! I just uploaded a video of this aircraft landing in Rochester, NY in 1989 with President George H. W. Bush. I shot this from the press stand. I need to get to California to see the inside of this!

  • @FlyJupiter Thanks! It is an amazing experience! Very cool! Thanks for watching!

  • Hahah! You can see that the end part had been slowed down :) Very nice video mate...... was the camera in your right hand by your hip? It seemed like that!

  • @xXmand123Xx Thanks for watching! While inside the aircraft I had a neck strap and just let the camera lay at my hip. You are not allowed to film inside the aircraft so I did not want to make it obvious by holding the camera in my hand.

  • @TheLiLD95 ahhhh..... naughty naughty :) It should be allowed anyway to be honest!

  • A W E S O M E ! Great video buddy!

  • @eduDtoliP Thanks!! Glad you liked it!

  • excellent presentation, favorited

  • @frequentairbusflyer8 Thanks so much!! Really glad you enjoyed it!

  • @manitogata Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!

  • Aweosome! :D

  • @Airplanekid96 Thanks!

  • haha you midget, how old are you? you record so low hehe.

    Good video :)

  • @ImpulsivePlay3r I'm 15 and I had the camera with the neck strap and the camera fell to my waist. I did not want to hold it in my hands and make it obvious I was filming because you are not aloud to inside the plane. But thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it!

  • :O i went to Los Angeles on summer vacation and never went there :( nice vid and great aircraft!!

  • @fsxvideos747 I was so happy to go! It was awesome! Thanks for watching!
