  • @RACHEL21629 Did you seriously use an ampersand as an eight? If you did, the new generation sickens me, despite the Meat Loaf love. If you didn't, you still spoke entirely in capitals so I still don't like you or your generation.

  • This came out when i was 17-senior year in high school on Long Island. It WAS a huge album. When real live singing counted for something.

  • i bet you say that to all the boysssss!

  • I just love that the guy saying 'Yes' at the start starts getting frustrated :L

  • loveeeeeeeee it forever

  • No. you cannot dislike this. it's impossible.

  • @njskiinglegend yes, I think that fact has actually been proved by scientists.

  • I am thirteen years old, and most of the songs I listen to are from when my parents were growing up. Especially my dad. He and I are so proud to say that we have good taste in music. I would've loved to hear this when it first came out, but I will settle with sitting in the car with my dad, windows open, volume cranked, and we are singing our hearts out to the best music we know!!!

  • For 'edbelfor2'--I hope you're not serious about feeling bad about your generation. I'm just an old dude 'waxing idiotic' about the golden days of my youth. I've got a fifteen-year-old, and it seems to me your generation is essentially just like mine was at that age. I DO feel lucky to have enjoyed the period occupied by my teenage years, but that's nostalgia, right? I'm sure you'll look back on with just as much affection. It's really the youth, not the time period, eh? Go live it! :D

  • ON A HOT SUMMER NIGHT.................

  • when i was younger like 5 and 6 this case pissed me off. it looks all bad ass and i thought this should be like some hardcore shit. but i never understood what they where talking about i just knew it was love stuff...now being 16 i understand what they mean. still not bad ass but fucking amazing for sure.

  • Loaf! Does it get any better? I know this makes me ancient but I remember the week this album came out--and I remember how it burned up the charts for something like 12 straight weeks. Was there a better time to be had than spinning your wheels while these songs blasted out of the radio? Kids today will NEVER understand the romance of the car, the radio, the right woman, and perfect night. That kind of lucky magic can't be replicated by technology. Sorry kids, you missed out.

  • @blindichi You make me feel sad on the inside, I am seventeen; and yes, our generation is shitty...

  • @blindichi Not ancient, timeless ;) I grew up during the nineties, first album I've heard (thx mom): Bat out of Hell II. It has remained one of my favourite albums to this day.

  • @blindichi Dude! Us "kids" have the albums to live off. Thank god for that! : )

  • @blindichi Us "kids" have the albums to live from. Thank goodness for that! : )

  • @blindichi Yeah, but at least us "kids" have the albums to live from. Thank goodness for that! : )

  • @Equifish And we'll cherish them for the next generation to come ;)

  • @blindichi Hah, three posts, I'll be quiet now.

  • @blindichi

You're being a bit of a pompous prick aren't you?

  • @blindichi I'm young, and I jam out to Meat Loaf. I was born way too late.

On a hot summer night, would you offer your throat to the wolf with the red roses?

  • @blindichi yeah unfortunately we did. I'm only 17 and I grew up with all the music from my parent's generation. You guys had it all the best. Nowadays, it's all crap ghetto music, the girls are nasty who lose their innocence for all the wrong reasons and all the guys wanna do is hook up with more chicks then the guy next them before they get to college or before they get married. At least I can dream =)

  • @xPhoenixoftheOperax

You can do a lot more than dream m8. Make it your life that's different and reflect the value's that you hold high.

  • @blindichi buuutttt.... I was born in the ninties so it kinda makes up for some things. I remember my dad having this album. Good times

  • @blindichi I was born in '91, but that's what I have CDs for. :D (I really do feel like I missed out though :[ )

  • @blindichi

Sorry, but when did cars and romantic nights out become obsolete? Oh wait, they haven't. Stupid old man.

  • @blindichi Radio today may suck pretty bad, but I (a kid) don't feel like I've missed out. With technology, there is no limit to what kind of music I can listen to. Anyone could easily load up an MP3 player or CDs with TONS of Meat Loaf! LOL, but I do get your point that music isn't what it once was.

  • @blindichi I gotta disagree with you there. We didn't miss out. I'm seventeen, and I've had one of those nights. The car, the music, the scenery... you are right about one thing though. There's nothing else like it :)

  • @blindichi I know I missed out on all that - and I flat out hate myself for it.

  • @blindichi Not true. I didn't grow up in the 70's, but there's nothing like cruising in a classic car and listening to oldies with my lady by my side. While I agree a lot of kids might not be smart enough to cherish what will not be here forever, there are still a lot of people in my generation who WILL restore the classic cars and listen to good music. The romanticism and former glory of the American dream is still here, you just have to look for it.

  • @blindichi Hey man, not to play the young punk kid to your crotchety old man, but you know "kids" still have all of those things right? And not only do they (we) still have them, but we've got iPods and CDs featuring generally better sound quality than fuzzy AM stations and 8-tracks. Why have "lucky magic" when you can make the magic yourself? Not that I wouldn't have loved to live back then, but shit man, today isn't as bad as you make it sound. Just a thought.

  • @CasimirPulaski13 ahhh stfu, im 19 and i agree with @blindichi the music we produce now is made for the clubs and you all look like douche bags doing the laps and wasting petrol, cause honestly in your heart you know you've never taken a girl to a romantic place just to spend time with her, because we get away with it at our own homes now, no sneaking around like back then! so just stfu until you actually know what your talking about

  • Man, if someone would've told me earlier in the day I would be taking part in a faceless Youtube argument with someone called @Smurfette1992 because of a Meatloaf song...well, shit. I had a whole list of arguments to everything you said, but all of your points are so dumb (SO DUMB), I'll just take this time to feel bad for you. Just because you aren't living your life doesn't mean everyone else isn't. But you brought me down to your level, arguing on Youtube, so I guess I will "stfu" for now.

  • @CasimirPulaski13 Totally agree. Yes some of our music isn't as good as it was back then but we have the technology to enjoy it like you said in a better sound quality. Without youtube we probably wouldn't have access to as much music as we do. So... yeah i was just gonna say I get your point.

  • I wan't even being considered when this album came out, but songs from this area are 90% of what is in my history! Nothing wrong with liking different genres - the bands from these days aren't all techno or dubstep! That's just what's clogging the charts! Not the decent stuff!

  • @iiHeartSamClark Thats been the case since the 80's.

  • Can people not just comment without being an a-hole to every one around them, i mean common really!

  • Gosh, I love this song!

  • Going to see him in July! fuck yea

  • I love the intro, probably my favorite part of the whole song. lol :P tho the rest of the song is seriously wicked as well. ^^

  • That number at the bottom right should be exponentially greater. What is this shit?!

  • Just love this song <3

  • I personally love the intro. I believe that it is Todd Rundgren as the guy and Ellen Foley as the chick. This is probably my favorite track on the lp. Thank you!!

  • will she offer me her booty

  • 0:50 to skip the crap

  • @Karumii Nothing of a meatloaf song is crap. lol

  • @Karumii You're crap.

  • @KornSlipknot2157654 So's your face but i wasn't going to say anything.

  • @Karumii Oooh. Buuuurn.

  • Love this song <3 <3

  • The 70's ruled! Excellent song.

  • the talking is bullshit at the start

  • No one gives a crap how old you guys are lol

  • why must they talk in the beginning? they ruined this song! nobody wants to hear that! shut up and sing the song! i want to get on to the next song!

  • @tslabjr7 Fuck you, that's what makes the song special, that's what I remember listening to as a kid and it really sets up well for the song.

  • @tslabjr7 theres always the option of skippin the talkin instead of bitchin bout the talkin eh

  • @flameboyab yes i know that, but i have featured vids on my channel, i don't want to hear 2 people talking for 35 seconds. it's too good a song for that! they say this band got hurt by looks? i say, this band got hurt by over running their mouths! the woman isn't a dog, and their are tuns of chubby singers out there! just keep your relationship, out of your music!

  • @tslabjr7 lol fair nuff

  • @tslabjr7 Its fucking music, something you obviously know nothing about. If your going to bitch about 50 seconds of two people talking to further the meaning of a song, then stop listening to music. All Music has shit like that happening in it, do you bitch about that as well? Quit bitching like 8 bitches on a bitch boat and rock the fuck out.

  • @napalmman420 lol it's a lil anoying though every time! it should be on the music video! but not the studio version!

  • @tslabjr7 IMMA SUCK YO FROZEN SPERM BALLS AND YO PEICE OF MEAT AND DRINK YO YUMMY SEMEN NIGGAH!!!!

  • BTW pple Jim Steinman shuts up at 0:49 or 0:50
