Hey, Steve Albini wants it called hardcore punk. I will call it what he wants. I think it's closer to noise rock, but he doesn't like that term. I don't like the abbreviation "hxc", but I had to use it to save space. I'm glad somebody knows who the hell Big Black is. (I used it, so people wouldn't get it.) Also, Bad Religion is one of the essential hardcore punk bands. Sure, their more recent stuff is punk rock, but HCHBAW? is hardcore, like Circle Jerks.
