I played LoL before I tried this out. I dont have a good computer 6 years old and barely can play LoL. But when I tried to play this it was slow for me so I didnt like it because of that but that doesnt make it a bad game. The characters and the ability effects look alot better then LoL but I just like LoL more since I can run it better. Plus the screen seemed to be too far zoomed in compared to LoL's aswell. Both great games just I can run LoL and not HoN.

idk bout HoN, im getting into it cuz now its free, and i use to play DoTa back in the day and i like DoTa WAY more than any of these moba games. the only problem i have been having with HoN is EVERY game i have played people just start leaving, i have YET to have ONE game thats been a 5v5. the community just seems to be worse in HoN than LoL, in HoN i keep seeing people rage quit, in LoL its not as common. i personally think that HoN is more fun than LoL, but the community ruins it for em so far

haha... I tried both LoL and HoN. I started with DOtA... I still play HoN these :D its been 2.5 years I think... There are many things I dont like about LoL such as stacking lifesteal and rax can re appear if left destroyed for too long. HoN is quite fast paced genre. The community on HoN isnt great but def. better than LoL. I strongly believe HoN has grown a lot since it started :) Haters will always hate but it is a solid game... DOtA 2 has sent out beta keys. The game is still young but HoN

Might actually check this out, the LoL community sucks hard (really hard) and this reminds me more of DotA. But I have a few questions, please awnser them honestly:

1. Is there a balance problem (imbalanced champs/items)?

Naw, S2 games tries to balance everything out.

Well, there's the F2Pers who don't give a crap about their stats but those who paid for the game tend to be better, less rage quitty.

HoN is a bit different from LoL but many skills still carry over. Towers are a lot weaker in HoN and there's not a lot of mana in HoN compared to LoL. Also, you can deny creeps by last hitting them like in DotA.

@sopialla people want to try before they buy. they want to play without commitment. however, due to the addictive nature of dota-like games, once they got into league of legends, they were hooked, and therefore made purchases in the game. Also, some people don't want to blow a complete 30 dollars. in league of legends you can choose how much to spend. hon moved to a f2p platform for these reasons, and would have been farm ore successful if they chose to implement it from the start.

@Loozismad actually no, the creators of DotA created LoL to be different then DotA they tried to make a whole new game, and the creators of HoN had nothing to do with DotA they just took the idea and made it basically the same game. if you compare LoL with DotA the only thing they have in common is the map, and how the gameplay goes. and HoN and DotA is about the same deal.

You can't really compare the graphics in HoN and LoL with eachother since the graphic style is different, HoN goes for a more WC3 darker look and LoL goes for a more colourful anime style. League Of Legends is actually "harder" to run than HoN.
