  • would be a bit of a surprise seeing that orange one in your net lol, planning on really going for thames carp this year gotta put the effort in though...

  • where on the thames is this ?

  • can u fish 4 em?

  • i love the coi id love to hear the story about how that got in the thames.

  • useually floods, and the fish escape from nearby garden ponds etc ;)

  • nice a few stergen maybe lurking in the depths then aswell.

  • yea prob, thats the good thing about rivers and canals ya never know whats gonna b next. i used to fish the start of the canal where the water comes in when i was a kid, it gets pumped down from the reser, we used to catch allsorts great fun.

  • Yes that was what I loved about it, untouchable. Have been on the noisy river good Dr but a bit of a ball buster this winter.

  • Nice vids Dave - just as well it is unfishable! they are a bit blatant.

Hope to see you again down the Colne sometime.

  • The Carp were spawning in the Hogsmill which is an unfishable tribuary of the Thames and this is in the middle of a cafe area in Kingston town centre. They come upfrom the Thames to spawn. The film does not do it justice at all with a couple of huge lumps swimming past. Get down there in mid May, its an amazing sight. Where do they all go to though afterwards, 4 miles of river between the two locks so a needle in a haystack. lol

  • where about are these fish ?

  • i live down the road from the hogsmill the carp only used to sporn there now u can see them all year round.

  • lots and lots of carp...

  • where abouts is this?
