Brujeria literally mean Witchcraft in Spanish. Usually Christian witchcraft, not pagan or Wicca. This type of witchcraft is used by most "brujos/as" to do the most horrible things you can possible imagine. They pretty much will do whatever you said if you give them money. From cursing and binding someone so all doors will be closed to force someone to love you to actually use necromancy to kill someone.
Hi Krazyboytx, I love this video... I'm of the Cuban Santeria tradition and don't know much about La Santisma Muerte.... But, because of your great sharing I bought a statue of her today... I bought the black one, as I am involved in the Santeria community and need to protect myself from negative practioner... What to u recommed as far as offerings to her on an Altar??? Also what are some good workings w/ her when one is under psychic attack...
)-( I used a green candle with the intent to bring luck and success. It burned fine throughout the night. When I went out to do some business at the bank and came back the flame had gotten very big and the top of it turned black. Does that mean my ritual is ruined? Will I have to do it again? I also burned a white and red candle along side of it and neither acted weird like the green one!
Well if the glass turned black it means that something is stopping your luck and money from coming to you try to burn a reversible along with a green candle and maybe that will help!!!
hi. it seems like brujeria and hoodoo are very alike. are there any courses and books and video instructions available on brujeria please? where can i learn it? thanks
Krazyboytx- could you do a video on the importance of prayer in hoodoo and brujeria please? and is there a place for imagination and visualization in hoodoo or do they lean more towards prayer??
Isn't Brujeria also more firmly associated with the darker side of magic? Most of the times I researched or heard about it it was more akin to the forced love, control, and seduction charms found in rootwork and some forms of Voodoo folk practices (not to be confused with Vodoun, which is a religious practice working with the Lwa) And a lot of it is used for cursing just as often as for protection, It seems like brujeria and Curanderismo have a lot of overlap, to sides of the same coin maybe?
In some ppl I have seen yes ppl will turn to brujeria for bad but I need not, I think with all magic there is a dark side have i ever done bad, yes I am not going to lie. I think Brujeria as gotten a bad rap just like the word witch. Also in must tradition that I have practice must of them do over lap to even my surprise. But I do have to say this was a great question always keep on asking them to find your path.
You should seriously consider teaching classes on Brujeria, Santeria, Hoodoo online. I know that a lot of people would pay for formal class training on these subjects. You have a great instructor voice and manner about you. Just a thought....
I've heard a lot of people compare paganisim with Catholicism latley. I didnt grow up practicing it but it does sound interesting to me. I'm thinking about studying it just to see what I could learn and take for my own practice. This is fabulous information! Thank you so much for sharing this with us! BB :)
Yeah i hope to make some vids of how to dress the saint candles and some spellcraft!!! Must of the spellcraft i show is always a mix of all traditions i know anyway!LOL!!!
This is really interesting, back home where I'm from they actually do call people who study any for of the craft Brujo or Bruja as in Witch or Male Witch.
I used to be called a Bruja all the time but I'm more toward eclectic paganism than actual Brujeria. Lovely video and thank you for the information.
Neopaganism and Catholicism seem like they have alot of similarities. I use a lot of Catholic imagery in my practices. Where I grew up is primarily catholic, so its has always seemed natural to burn saint candles. Our family has always had a patron saint, and La Virgen de Guadalupe is very much like our community's Mother Goddess.
I would be interested in hearing more about Brujeria, we have a lot of Curanderismo here, which sounds similar but it might be different in many way.
Yeah we have Curanderismo here as well but they mianly heal and they do have some spell craft but not much they mainly preform limpias but they do use the saints!! I have some spellcraft of Brujeria i will be showing.
Curanderismo is how i began to follow the path i'm on. As a baby, still on the womb i was blessed by a curandero, and it is believed he gave me the gift of magic. its a beautiful story.
Like in my Family, My Grandmother was and My Aunt is what they call in Italian a Strega (Witch) They were & are practicing Catholics but they use witchcraft but it combinds a lot if Catholicism.
Thats Santeria witchcraft is different then all that
