I am truly grateful you have these videos posted for us to share! I am a new fan of Mute Math and I simply adore every part of this band, their music, and even their persona! Utterly fantastic! Does anyone know about their other cd "The Reset EP"? Can this DVD be purchased anywhere? MORE people should be talking about this band! I request their music daily to my local radio station, as should EVERYONE. Again, Thanks drumma8818 for posting!
Welcome to this world! But beware, these men will ensnare you and soon you will find yourself getting distracted at work because your thinking about Darren's hands or Paul's somersaults!
They say that the feeling of being in love lasts for + - 2 years. For me it's been a year and a half now. But I'm afraid the new album will just restart that counter for me... And as long as they keep releasing an album every 2 years, I'll be in love with them forever.
"Your" extremely clever. Thanks for your reply. Too cute! If you love MuteMath, do share any other artists who have graced your player/s. Muse is another favorite of mine. I'm slow to find things on my own and parish the thought of waiting for the radio to tell what I should like. Thanks.
but I feel like they used pitch correction on this, which disappoints me cuz paul sounds great live, they don't need to do that. but his voice sounds very robotic.
well his voice sounds kinda robotic anyways...but i wouldn't really blame them for using some pitch correction during this show since it was for their DVD
Yeah. I honestly doubt that Meany uses pitch correction unless he was like sick or something. I saw them in Hollywood with Eisley, and his voice was pristine. And it didnt sound a machine. He was good.
these guys are so good, its hard to believe that they mess up...i would call them experimental but that would involve them making some music that doesnt sound good
Not really. If there was no experimental, then music would not evolve. I believe mute math is still years ahead of its time for the fact that they have managed to pull of experimental music while keeping it awsome enough to be played on the radio and tv. This is the only band that I have heard that mesh this sound PERFECTLY!
Paul's a VERY talented and skilled musician and vocalist. If you see anything live of there's, he doesn't need it. I'm sure there's some extra eq added later to mix it well for the dvd, but pitch correction for a live performance could cause some bad coloring in the other instruments, so if they did they'd have to go in the studio and retrack almost every instrument...so yeah...
best live DVD I've ever seen!)

I just can't get enough of this band. They are talented and unique. I don't know of another band out there that plays with sound so artfully =)

totally true about the drums...
creativity makes the drummer, not the size of his drumset

these dudes are sick! i love the drummer busting it out on a little compact kit like he does. reminds me of ?uestlove.
hotwheelz20072 3 years ago
Well you don't need a 24 piece kit to make yourself a great drummer.....It's proven constantly by Darren King,Chris Dave, ?uestlove, etc.

so true... some of my faves are ?uestlove and darren.

Oh crap, that's the first time ever I've written "your" instead of "you're". The internet's getting to me :)!
