  • A breath of fresh air... Beautiful! Thank you for sharing. :)

  • Very nice. best version ive seen yet on you tube.

  • What kind of mic are you using in this video...?

  • I used the guitar's.

Thanks. I'm sorry that the reply becomes slow.

  • Is your guitar a half step down? Cause I think Bruce's recorded version was

  • No, standard tuning.

Thanks. I'm sorry that the reply becomes slow.

  • @juubee1 No problem. I have been learning this song by ear but Bruce is very good at making this song pretty difficult to hear out. Cant get certain chords here and there

  • @cazzelikrueger Ah! When I was learning this song by the ear, I changed tuning.

    Yes, so,half step down.

  • Wow. Thta was fantastic. You made it look so simple! Although it is anything but! The guitar sounds great too. Is it a Yamaha?

  • Yes,YAMAHA Silent Guitar. Thanks!!

  • If you learned this by ear I'm amazed. I'm trying to pick out the chords from this and can't. I don't suppose you've tabbed this out?

  • Thanks!!

  • @jelosmells If you can find it, there is a songbook called "Bruce Cockburn - All The Diamonds" that has tab for a bunch of his stuff along with his personal notes and recollections. It's got Sunwheel Dance, Foxglove and a few other early solo fingerpicking tunes of his.

  • ps if you want to see what I am up to, I am more of classical piano player (but love my guitar as well) i have posted a couple of things from a concert.

  • Thanks!!

  • Great rendition! Thx. Nice guitar too. Can I ask what kind it is. I'm interested!

  • Thanks!! It is the YAMAHA SILENT GUITAR MODEL SLG100S.

  • Well your playing is awesome. Is that the natural sound of the guitar or are you running it thru some effects. If I get one I want it to sound like that! Of course I am sure a lot has to do with player and I am not quite up to your par!

  • Thank you very much!! I used no effects, but I mixed live sound and line sound by logic (apple's DAW software ) & iMovieHD software. And I used logic's some effects.

  • Wow. I really enjoyed that. This is one of my favorite Bruce Cockburn songs and I've just listened to the best cover of it that I've ever heard.

    Thanks

    Do you play professionally?

  • It is secret.Thanks!!

  • Wow! Very very good rendition! I love this tune too, But i never tried to play it...

  • Thanks!!

  • Wow, great!! Sounds like Bruce!

  • Thanks!!

  • 感動した!

  • ありがとうございます!(=Thanks!)

  • Very nice; I love Cockburn. What are you using with your Yamaha? I run mine through a Korg acoustic Pandora, but it doesn't sound that nice!

  • Also, what's the tuning? Thx!

  • It is the standard tuning.

  • I used iMovie and Logic. I mixed the live and line recording sound by using them. Thanks!

  • THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PERFORMENCE!!!

  • Thanks!!!

  • to tell the truth, this is one of the most favorite tune.so soothing tone for me.thank you.

  • Thanks!!

  • very nice!!!

  • Thanks!

  • Where did you learn how to play that? is there a tab or did you just figure it out by ear?

  • Yes, I did by ear, and by self-study.Thanks !

  • Beautiful, love the sound of your guitar! 5*****

  • Thanks!

  • This is a difficult piece to get the feel

right ... just as craigbrando points out ...

    Ya done good. cheers.

PS yer geetar has a big ol' hole in it :-)

  • Thanks!

  • Beautiful playing, man; what guitar is that?

  • Thanks! That is the YAMAHA Silent Guitar.

  • I love Bruce Cockburn since years...But i like you too, since 3 minutes...fantastic

  • Thanks!

  • This is amazing. Salt sun and time is the only Bruce Cockburn album I have and it is intensely beautiful. I would love a tab. I would also would like to request "seeds on the wind"

  • Thanks! I'm sorry,I cannot do it.

  • Very nice stuff. Not a lot folk get the nuances let alone the proper notes but you've generally got both. Kudos. Been working on "Mistress of Storms" and "Deer Dancing Around a Broken Mirror" for a few years now myself. Showed Cockburn the calluses on the tips of my fingers one night at The Horseshoe and told him he was the culprit... he got a good laugh out of it anyway.

    Cheers

  • I bought a couple Bruce Cockburn tab books about 10 years ago - "Rumours of Glory" and "All the Diamonds" - which contain "Salt, Sun & Time", "Rouler Sa Bosse" tabbed to the note. Not sure if they're still in print so good luck.

  • arigatou!(Thanks!) from Japan

  • It's not hard to work out the chord sequence by watching him play so there really isn't a need for tabs and my rendition is coming on nicely.

  • Arigatou Gozaimasu ! (Japanese"Thank You")

  • You are the bomb! Got the tabs handy? I would love to learn it!

    Cheers!

  • Thanks,cheers!

  • This is absolutely beautiful! Well done!

  • Thanks!
