  • how much is it can you make one for me.

  • commando, bluetooth communicator is fantastic, do you have any for sale(complete)email at wcarboni@verizon.net for details gotta have one!!!

  • how much it costs? the full pack? not just the conversion, but with the prop also, cause i dont have it, and with shp for brazil, and how much time takes to get it done? accept paypal?

  • i would like to place a order can u send me details getetboy@yahoo.com

  • I think I would rather have my GalaxyS

  • 0:51 WOAH! had it a bit loud there

  • I had no idea there was a recessed back button on the communicator. It must have been tricky to using in the acting scenes

  • @GnosisMan56 Hi,

There were no buttons on the original screen used Comms, nore were there any lights, they were totally static props.

  • @Bluetoothcommunicato Well, not totally static. A couple of the hero props had stopwatches built in to turn the moire pattern. Nice build, BTW. Did you start with someone else's kit?

  • If you made a TNG commbadge-style one I'd be all over it! lol These are definitely awesome though! Are they compatible w/ the iphone 3GS features such as voice dialing? Is there a button on the communicator that will activate the voice dial feature or would it need to be activated on the phone manually with the communicator on?

  • @DaveFrehley

Hey! I've looked into the Com-Badge however there is just not enough room for the electronics & speaker. Yes, they are comapatible with any device that suports Bluetooth. You can activate the Voice Dialing feature by pressing the MFB (Multifucntion Button) on the Comm, so you can just leave your phone in your pocket and do everything from the Communicator!

  • @Bluetoothcommunicato Yeah, i figured the small form factor wouldn't allow for the room for all the electronics. The classic communicator is awesome, though! Are you still selling them?

  • @DaveFrehley

Hi, yes, I'm still making them, just finished up two for the last orders!

  • @Bluetoothcommunicato: I did not see a reply about how to contact you for purchasing kit or fully assembled device. Please reply to me via email

  • Have to ask: are you still making these? Would love a PM if so!

  • Would love to have one. Send me an email and we can work the details. Would like a smaller one though. Thought about the enterprise communicators? :) K

  • Lol my phone rang whilst watching this an I chuckled for a split second.

  • sweet,,,

  • that's just made of PURE WIN

surely all hardcore (and closet) Trekkies will love this

  • Absolutely brilliant.

I have no use for one. but I still love it.

    Good job.

  • How can one get one of these, and how much do they cost??? This is SO COOL!!

  • That is the geekiest geek toy I have ever seen. I love it!

  • Hi!

    Yes, I still make them!

PM me for details on how to obtain one!

  • You make them?

    How much do they cost?

  • You should sell those on EBAY

  • My gosh. How the technology of the early 21st Century has surpassed even the imaginations of the 1960s TV and science-fiction writers! In many ways, we already live in a STAR TREK world right now! Wondrous.

  • Oh... I really like it.

  • Thanks!

  • are you working on a badge communicator from TNG now?

  • I got to say that is pretty impressive

ok the TOS communicator is outdated now but we could digitally alter the communicator in the series to give it a touchscreen and make it more updated

  • What appears "dated" to some people gives the show charm and character to the people who love Star Trek - people like myself. The thought of changing something so wonderful as this original communicator design seems almost like sacrilege to me. What next...change the design of Matt Jefferies beautiful 'Gray Lady', the classic Enterprise NCC-1701? Perhaps they could give her go faster stripes? No way!

  • How did you do that?

  • That is Super cool lol!!!

  • part of me screams WHY!?!?!?!?!?!?! and the other...is just...stupidly happy this exists..

  • How did you get that? I want it.

  • I make them! If you would like to find out about purchasing one you can PM me for details.

  • Nice job! LOL

  • OMG! That is so cool!! I want one!!!

  • OMG I got to have one OMG!

  • hola, a mi celular, le baje el tono del beeper como sonido de llamada, es un motorola v3.

    muy bueno.5*

  • can you receive calls on it?

  • Hi, Yes! Please check my other video as it shows better how to send and receive calls. Just click on my user name at the top and then click on the Bluetooth Communicator II video.

  • I have one of these , its very very cool, Bink has done a fab job, its very loud and works a treat.

    cheers Bink.

  • Glad ya like it!

  • Can you make Uhura's ear piece?

  • Nope, to small:^( I am however working on making a Bluetooth version of the new Star Trek movie Communicator!

  • humm but commbadges are just soooo much cooler

  • How much do these costs? they sure are amazing.

  • Give me a PM!

  • I WANT ONE!

  • Give me a PM! I'm about to do another run as I have just recieved my BT PCBs in from China.

  • That Is Definetly a collectors item. I might conside buying!

  • Hi! Let me know, I'm bout to do another run of them!

  • Can I still buy? I'm in Canada.

  • Can I still buy? I'm in Canada.

  • Absolutely! Give me a PM and I'll give you the details.

  • Let me know if your interested as I am about to do another small run of them, and they go quick!

  • Ok. Sorry, but what do you need from me at the point (what's a PM)? And it's $350US?

    Thanks!

  • Hi, a PM is a personal message, you can send messages through youtube directly to me rather than using this comments section. Yes, it is in US dollars.

  • Give me a PM! I'm about to do another run as I have just recieved my BT PCBs in from China.

  • I'm wondering is $350 US, Euro or else?

  • how much does it cost==????

  • only $350!

  • NIIIIICE!!!

  • You can get them from me!

  • I saw this for the first time a few days ago. I sent you an email wanting to know were I can find a communicator like this.

  • How much you selling one for and postage to the UK?

    Thanks

  • $350 and usually sost around $20 to post to the UK.

  • AWESOME!!! AWESOME!!! AWESOME!!! AWESOME!!! AWESOME!!! AWESOME!!! That's what life is all about, that sound, the flick...and it works...Ahhhhhhh refreshing

  • So freakin cool. Amazing. I would love one of these.

  • This is so seriously cool

  • If you like this one check out my other video as it show more detail of how it operates!

  • This wins the prize.

  • My. Freaking. Hero. You're making me want to go dissect my old bluetooth headset.

  • Headsets won't really work well. I tried using headsets but they are not loud enough, and amplifying one is very difficult. You also then have to power several different PCBs using different batteries, so it is not worth the effort.

  • oh my dear lord, that's hot!!!

  • Thanks! It was quite the hit at the Vegas Convention:^)

  • why not a tng or voyager Bluetooth Communicator

  • Because that would require something significantly different in the way of electronics, and I like the Original series Communicators better!

  • Where did you get it?Please tell me.

  • Hi, I make them. If interested please PM me for details regarding obtaining one.

  • this communicator RULES! I just bought one and it is the absolute coolest thing ever! I paired it up with my iPhone very easily and blow my friends' minds when I get a call and pull out my communicator, flip it open and it works!!

I enthusiastically recommend this to any Trek fan...

    ...heck... to ANYONE!

    vic mignogna

  • so you are selling them?? how much?

  • Hi.

I will be doing another run shortly. The price is around $350. If interested please let me know!

  • I am interested....Thanks

  • So, if I'm reading this right, you can recieve calls from peoples cells that have Bluetooth or just any other cell phone right?

What about if you want to call someone from the communicator? Just out of curiosity, I'm thinking about getting one after seeing this :D

  • Hi, yes, it works just like a Bluetooth headset. If your cell supports voice command you can make calls totally from the Comm with just pressing a button and saying the name in it. Check my other video to see better hot it operates.

  • Im interested , long time die hard fan of Star Trek original...How can i get one...Regards....Frank

  • If intereested please PM me and I will forward you details.

  • hmmm... i wouldent want one of those... its much bigger than the phone xDD

  • Your in idiot, and you ain't gettin one.

  • Are you selling anymore and would it work for any phone?

  • Hi,

At the moment I'm still sorting details with my PCB provider in China. Please check back with me in about month or so and I should have a definite date of availability!

  • And yes, it will work with any Cell Phone that has Bluetooth capability's, it even accepts voice commands!

  • "The Original Series" is the more popular phrase. If you think this one is not affordable check eBay for the Master Replicas version! It goes up to $700.00, and basically just sits in a case.

  • Google it! It's been around a long time! Who is "They?"

  • Gene might not have got the credit so much as Wah Chang, the guy that actually invented the prop for the show did. TOS stands for "The Old School" meaning the original Star Trek. TNG would be The Next Generation:^)

  • TOS also stands for "The Original Series"

  • I agree 'The Original Series' I don't like the idea of 'the old school' hahaha. Seems almost... ghetto...

  • Do you still have any of these bluetooth communicators? If you do, how much do they cost?

  • Hi! I have enough parts at the moment to make just a few more. $375 + shipping.

  • where can you get it from??

  • You can get it on eBay, item # 190181420985, or contact me directly.

  • thank you spock....kirk out

  • Sorry TrueDavebucket, I accidently clicked the Spam button.

  • Did you personally make this? You should make more and sell them. I'd personally buy it. =)

  • Yes, I do! Please Check eBay item # 190171834236 to see the one up now.

  • Now THAT has got to be the single coolest gadget I have ever seen! Mucho kudos to you for doing it!! Having read the rest of the comments, it seems bizarre to me that there are so many dumb people on the planet. Why can't they grasp the fact that it is a bluetooth connection to an existing phone! Have you posted a schematic anywhere of how you did it??

  • you know Spock and Uhura had bluetooths, BUT THRY TOOK EM OUT OF THEIR DAMN EAR BEFORE THEY WENT ANYWHERE.Also you noticed Spock was an accomplished shuttle pilot BUT HE DID'NT GAB ON HIS COMMINICATOR WHILE FLYING!

okay I feel a little better now. Cool job on the custom phone by the way.

  • Very, very cool! I love the Iphone too, but, in no way does it take anything away from this beautiful work of functioning art!

  • Iwantone Iwantone Iwantone Iwantone Iwantone Iwantone I WANT ONE!!!!!

  • I would take this over the iPhone any day! Very, very cool. The Holy Grail of tech toys, really. I think everyone that ever enjoyed TOS would consider this a to-die-for accessory.

  • Fantastic!!!!!! I want that! :-)

  • First off, who is They? This was built by a fan for fans so I have no idea what economic boredom has to do with anything. Seeing this on the show from the time I was a kid was the driving force for me to make it, it was also the inspiration for the man who made the first cell phone, so as for your comparison for it to the iphone had it not been for this, a prop made for a 1960's TV show, what would have served to inspire the people that designed the iphone?

  • Only someone who has a passion for this prop, which incidentally has been said to hale just below the Ruby Red Slippers, would understand being able to pull out a Communicator and have a conversation with it, YOUR passion is obviously just perving around Youtube looking for somewhere to stand on your Soap Box.

  • The iPhone sucks. I'd rather stay in the 60's.

  • I WANT THAT ! ! !

  • awesome!

  • This thing sold for almost $400?

You can get an iPhone for that much.

  • Actually 4 of them sold for that. And yes, you can get an iPhone for that, as a million people already have. There are however only now 6 people on the planet that have one of these. It is a novelty item for collectors!

  • How do ya dial?

  • Through your cell phone!

  • does it have a button for voice recognition

  • Yes, it does have voice recognition!

  • i want one too!

  • Will be listing another on eBay this week! If interested contact me directly, bink77 at aol

  • Holy Crap! I want one!

  • this is the vegas communicator. I sold about 300 of these. you but a bluetooth inside not bad.

but the morei' dosn't work any more?

  • The Moire's motor would not fit inside with the addition of the Bluteooth electronics. Where it would've been cool to have been able to keep it, the motor noise would have likely been a problem to the person on the other end of a call.

  • I don't understand what you did here, maybe you wouldn't mind explaining it.

  • It is explained at the top, click the (more) link right next to where it says "This is a completely functioning..." Basically it is a Bluetooth Speakerphone that just happens to be a Star Trek Communicator. It works just like a Bluetooth headset, pairs with your cell phone, only it is really loud so it functions exactly like it did in the show. It even accepts Voice Commands!

  • If interested please visit eBay: Copy and Paste this Item# in the search: 190133045660

  • OMFG!!! Where do I get one of these???!!!

  • I make them! Should be posting this one on eBay in the next day or so.
