The ZR1 made me proud (or at least a little less ashamed) to be american. Weve needed a staple american supercar better than the Z06 and since Ford wont do it, Chevy built this world killer. Great looking car... and i usually am not a big vette fan.

No its not a 7.0L LS7. Its a 6.2L engine that derives from the LS3. Its called the LS9 and smaller than the LS7.

The LS7 wasn't used because the supercharger fucked up the cylinder walls.

If the LS7 could be supercharged and didn't break the cylinder walls, this thing would for sure rip the Ford GT a new asshole. I mean even with the 6.2L its still whoops the GT.

Just because the engine is bigger doesn't mean it will be more powerful. The 5.4L in the Ford GT is a 4V DOHC. More valves is going to give you more power and the overhead cam engine employs variable valve timing and more valves which make it have more power than a conventional OHV 2V motor. GM still uses pushrod motors today in the Corvettes. Size isn't always the case because Ford uses smaller engine but has a setup to make them be just as good as a run-of-the-mill pushrod.

Thats pretty true size doesnt always matter, I plan on using a Kenne Bell supercharged 5.0 aluminum motor in my Gt, Im probably looking at the mids 900s to 1000s in the horsepower range. I will put a video eventually jus gotta finish the car first : )

I never said it sucked at handling, but i did and do have doubts toward American cars. I applaud chevy for making the ZR-1, but there's talk that this is the vette's last stand, after this there going to be more fuel efficient which means no more pure muscle.
