In the future, I see 1000 pages of regulations governing the construction of treehouses. All ladders will have handrails. All ladders will have treads no thinner than 2" wide. All hatches will have safety railing. All treehouses must withstand 50 mph wind loading. Two means of egress required. Forced ventilation required. Children will be allowed to bring legal action against parents who construct treehouses in violation of these regs.

@TilImWiser It will start in California. Legislators there will be so proud of themselves for protecting the children that the movement will propagate to other states. Before long, it will be federal law. Simultaneously, new law firms will sprout up focusing on helping children sue their parents for construction of unsafe treehouses. These law firms will buy advertising during Saturday morning cartoons. This is our beautiful future, TillmWiser! Embrace it!

Woohoo, Derek in a wet t-shirt! Maybe should have called it houses in the trees? My son would have a crazy time there. Thanks for sharing, loved the rain. In NM we don't see much of that, beautiful. The second to last round structure with the tree in it was my fave. Felt like a big wine barrel.
