I guessed 1066, Because it was on Christmas Day when William the Conquerer was throned, so there could have easily been a recent crowning the same year, also due to the political instability that William the Conquerer took advantage of.
I disagree. The solo saxophone and guitar riffs fall flat on their ass, and are shining examples of improvisation that lack in technical ability and musical taste. It made an already bad orchestration ugly; one that is cheesy, unoriginal, and sounds like pep music for a 1980s aerobics class decked out in spandex.
The set leaves a lot to be desired too, with its shitty dead tech post-modernistic motif. So, both the theme song and the set has been a new low for Jeopardy in my book.
Yeap! I sure did! Its a great quote and fits well to describe the Jeopardy set. Just remember the words that jump off your keyboard putting people down will come back on you someday. Good luck to you my friend.
thanks for uploading this. i think this is the only full episode up here, surprisingly. i thought alex would lose because she didn't wager enough in the daily double.
That last question was so easy, and I'm not even British! I mean, think about it: if you know anything about British HIstory, what is pretty much the only famous year you can think of? Had to be 1066.
wow that's a really good game-- all the contestants were very smart and knowledgeable!!
It was so funny when the woman SWEPT up all the guitarist questions, because you look at her with the typical "soccer mom" look, and she has this crazy rock knowledge!
Wow, that was a killer final jeopardy question! Good try on your part though. Damn it, I'm a huge history buff and guessed 1937 instead. I swore that Edward lost his thone not long before before wwii but of well.. Very solid showing though. Congrats.
That's what happens when you get cocky and wager everything

She did not impress. One of the other 2 contestants clearly has more skill than her.

At this time, the closing theme for Jeopardy! sounded real awkward without the saxophone added in...

You're a lot less smarter than you try to be.
You got the dead tech post-modernistic description from the movie Heat.

Me too--total guess. I figured the Norman invasion of England would ruin the power structure.

You were awesome =) oh and I would've wagered a lot on that too, I thought I knew enough of English Royalty but that was a tough one!

Nice job though, you were close. At least you weren't cocky like that other guy and bet everything on a completely wrong answer.

If I were on Jeopardy (which I did audition), I'd wager most, if not everything. How many times do you find yourself on Jeopardy?
char615 4 years ago 6
i think u can actually only play once
D6D24R94 4 years ago
Exactly---- that's my point. I'd wager everything because I'd only be on Jeopardy once.
char615 4 years ago
That's not always the best strategy.
ballsabouncing 3 years ago
@char615 exactly why you don't wager everything.... everyone else wages everything so if everyone gets it wrong, you win
rainpaw4 1 year ago
They put down their wagers before the question is read. He thought he knew about English Royalty, but that was a tough question.
