@PseudomortalityR1 yea i used to do the same thing until i had a couple close calls if you know what i mean, then a bunch of my buddies got me on the track and its been a love story ever since. my r1 used to wheelie comming out of turns at 140 and it was a bear so i got the r6. i also learned more my first track day then 4 years on the street. thats what i meant when you dont really ride it. its a different world out there
@PseudomortalityR1 no offense man but you dont really ride your r1....i had the same bike as you and i sold it for an r6 , i also gave up the street and only track ride now
Lol, that wasn't even on his powerband when he took off. Could've been much faster. BTW, it is almost certainly a 600, it's only got one exhaust pipe. Not sure about the 750s, but 1000s all have dual, stock atleast.
@z00k33p3r52591 Dunno how long you've been on youtube, but at least a third of the time the information posted by the uploader is wrong... Either way, he was going far slower than he could have on any of the r-bike sizes
@rkfaithfulblade the exhaust has nothing to do with it. 99% of the liter bikes have been changed to the single pipe. The bike looks like an 07 gixxer 750.
@paladain i dont know,at 150 mph and he hits your car your probly gonna freak out and crash yourself. i love sportbikes but i think theres better places to run em than a freeway!! just a thought
@paladain55 its nothing like a deer. its a few hundred pounds of solid steel going 100+ mph. i dont know if you know much about physics...but that will seriously fuck shit up.
@ak6953 i have a 1000 and it only has one exhaust . . im fucking tired of people coming up to me and asking if its a 600. im just gunna say, lets race and find out
maximum braking power is derived from both front and rear reguardless of speed. 70% up front 30% in rear. you should always use both brakes. if your squeezing the front brake so much you lift the rear then your doing it wrong. use less front and more rear.

Wrong! on a bike you have control over which break you use so mostly front, but then u can hit the back just as hard whilst your breaking, in a car your breakes are focused more on the front end, plus theres the weight issue!! lighter weight stops quicker than a heavy weight!
@UrbanDenim that absolute garbage you are talking..
Cars have bigger brakes and a larger area of the tyre contacting the tarmac plus there are 4 tyres on the car compared to the 1 on the bike... Yes i said 1 as on a bike as if you are at your maximum braking then your rear wheel will be virtually in the air..
@bazrippa ehhh, only morons use only one brake on a bike. you're suppose to use both front and rear brakes. and depending on the speed, a bike will stop faster than a car, NOTICE I SAID DEPENDING ON THE SPEED. you both sound like a bunch of noobs and should stop posting dumb comments.
@TheMoncibaiz Makes no difference how fast you are going you imbecile, I ride the track and use both brakes as a habit but under hard braking the rear is virtually in the air so momentarily locks which causes a problem..
On the road going slowly i sometimes use the rear instead of the front as the bike is easier to control
At maximum braking the rear brake does nothing at all dude... Just like your brain..
Check my Vids if you think im a Noob.. pfah dickhead!!
@bazrippa UR WRONG.. LOL!!! Front brakes has more potential than Rear brakes.. 95% of the riders on the superbikes uses the front brakes to slow down... Why do we have 2 disks on the front? DUH! Because the majority of stopping power comes from the front brakes.. Both brakes is real good to use too. But, The front is mostly what is should be used only! Some people brakes differently than others. Both, mostly Front brakes is the answer!
@bazrippa -- I mean your right... But, If you look on my bike, My bike is a 05 GSXR600. On the rear brake is still stock. If you look at my rear rotor, you can see I have not used it alot compare to the front brakes. If you look at my front rotors, you can see all the grooves, that are in it. I used the front brake 100% mostly at the time. I use it on the track when coming to a corner, you ease on the front brakes to slow down. IF you use the rear brakes on the track, you would slide out!!
@UrbanDenim "lighter weight stops quicker than a heavy weight!" Hahahahahaha, you actually think bikes brake faster then cars? Wow you're dumb. But bazrippa already explained it to you.
@UrbanDenim Totaly agree with u. More weight need bigger tires and bigger brakes to stop the living force, It tells it self that an bike stops faster than an car because its light weight. Sorry everyone but thats just pure facts :D

I have a 1000, and it doesn't have enough power, how can you have ... "enough" power? There is no such thing.
The 600 ccm bikes are fun and I like them for what they are, but to suggest that you have enough power, especially on a 600 is just nonsense. You have enough power to cruise through public traffic? Sure, but if you think the GSX-R was made to cruise through traffic at 50 MPH then you are very, very mistaken. On the track you can never have enough power.
I wanted the 750 but as it was going to be my first big bike I went for the 600 instead, after about two weeks I regreted it. If anyones in the same dilemma go for the 750 cause you will get used to the power of a 600 in no time.
600 is sweet and great power but every one who gets one will say shit i should have went for a bigger bike lol
its because you get confident really quickly its a problem i also have lol and its not a good one but fuck it, its a great adrenaline rush ill stay riding 2 wheels
i say go for the 1000 man...theres no reason to keep buying bikes just get the liter and youll have no regrets..if somone weighs under 190-200 they shouldnt get a 1000 cause there violent
my girlfriend rides a gsxr 1000 k8. the weight limit don't mean shit. nothing wrong with getting a thousand, but if you're a newbie and you still learning, be ready to drop that money at your local bike shop. or get some good life insurance.
Everyone who says the difference between a Litre bike and a 600cc bike is caught up in the huge stereotype... The difference between the two is size (not too much) and top-speed... The accel is not too different, ofcourse the 1000cc will get up there quicker but hardly faster than any 600cc bike, having a Litre bike has become an Ego thing, any man feels better saying they ride a 1000cc street bike, most guys do not feel content saying they ride 600's.
True, problem is puttin the power down, a 600 will wheelie or spin the rear so a 1000 will just do it worse. I prefer 600's they are more than powerful enough, ridin a 2007 Zx 6r at the moment and lovin every rev of it!
I can get back to you on that one lol. I ride a ZX10R, and i can safetly say i have never wheel spinned or wheelied by accident, sorry to say i agree with dukviper90 on this one.
True mate a 600 is more than enough for road and track and iv gotta say i get a real buzz out of whoopin a 1000 on track with my 600.. Check my GSXR Vs R1 vid. ;-)
there isnt a huge diff. in top end with the 600's and 1000's its just how fast thy get there. The 1000 get there hell alot quicker. Most stock 600's range from 100-106 hp comparied to the 1000's 160 hp
eh i disagree. 0-60 ( of course all this depends on the riders) theyre really pretty close. its the higher speed acceleration, for example 100-150, and the top speed where the difference is noticeable. 160-165 top speed compared to 180-190.
i started off with a CBR 600 really fast bike i now ride an R1 i say big difference from expirience all i gotta say is you accelerate alot faster what i do in 3rd gear on my 600cc i can do in 5 on a 1000cc
Umm.... There's a shitload of highways here in tristate area, and allot of twisty beckroads aswell, and yes, I've reached speeds above 180+ mph here on highways, and I not the only one.
As far as cops, usualy sports bikers run from them.
cops dont even try and pull you over here, you will get the oddball powerhungry rookie with something to prove, but their lost within 2 turns are as soon as theres traffic
Another advantage 600's used to have over 1000 is that they were lighter, and beter handling, but not anymore since most 1000's are now same waight as 600 prity much
I'll still disagree with u guys, cause I usualy ride with my budy who's got 08 600rr, and we rarely go above 160, but my 1000 gets to that 150 alot faster, so I have to wait for him sometimes. I started off a 600 bike because it was easier. But they do get slow in feel.
todays 600s do 165-170mph, 1000s-185-190mph....and a busa/14 -200-205(gervernor bypassed)
the 15-25mph difference of a 1k over a 600 is not worth the added insurance rates....if you're bored of a 600 and think a 1k will give you that HOOOLEE FUCK feeling again, you will surely be very dissapointed.
they have a 400cc -50-70hp advantage but only go 15-20mph faster..these bikes are at the peak of performance and cannot go any faster.
I totally agree with you and having a 1000 on the street is pointless you will never see the horse power unless you hit the high way. A 750 is more worth it on the street itll be the same as a 1000 by the time you think you are gonna hit high speeds 2 things, traffic and lights. Cant agree more if you wana see anything more than 170 MPH drive a funny car.
Yeah 1000s are a waste, if all your gonna do is ride on the street with them. If you plan on going to a track every week or riding highways, then a 750 or 1000 is great to have. Anything more than a 600 on the street, is just silly. You cant use its full potenial, unless you can get on some backroads well out of reach of cops
because there gearing but think about power to weight genius, You have 50 Percent more power and only 20 percent more weight thus you accelerate faster. If they wanted to they could strectch out the gearing on 1000 because horse power is how fast you can move something, and it has more, torque is how fast you can get it there and it has more of both . 1000 much faster check 40-100 times and 100-top speed times. Its night and day. Usable power too look at a power curve comparison
u must be retarded. there is a HUGE difference between a 600 and a 1000. there is so much more torque and top end. it will you taht "hollllee fuck" feeling for sure.
my mine iv road 600s and own a 900 and road 1000s and a busa the dif between all are a huge!!... sure the dif from my 900 because is built is faster then the 1000 but the 600 is like riding a scooter lol.. sure a stock 1000 only goes 185 190 but irt gets there way faster.. and 15 20 mph dif is huge.. thats like saying theres no dif from a 1000 and a busa.. 190-205,210 =P big dif all around,
ya thought so.. yes 600 are fast but its not on the same page as 1000s and up. but in all, it dont really mater all the much on what you ride its the rider its self.
In other words, powercomander does the job well, but no mater how high you rev, it's still a 600, so geting a liter bike is a beter idea if you like top end much
also. a 600 revs and sounds much higher pitched where a 750 and a 1000 sound more throaty and being he already sounds like hes revving high to begin with so my vote says its a 600
Okay kykes for those who know bikes and think they know bikes. and are going back and forth over the 1 pipe exhaust meaning its only a 600-750 because we all know the new 1000 have dual cans lets all pause the video at 14 seconds. notice how the corners flare up on the sides..... a GSXR 1000 are oval like a busa so..... this would mean its either a 750 or 600 know ur bikes befor u try to prove a point ;)

True bro, but I am proud to be going from a 900 Blade to a 600 GSXR K4

why.... 600's are so boring.
rush2905 2 years ago
True, problem is puttin the power down, a 600 will wheelie or spin the rear so a 1000 will just do it worse. I prefer 600's they are more than powerful enough, ridin a 2007 Zx 6r at the moment and lovin every rev of it!
firebladenut 2 years ago
if u cant put a 600s power down then u must suck at riding it. The only way i can wheelie my r6 is if i tell it to.
dukviper90 2 years ago 2
get on a 1000 then get back at me lol
memoisastunna 2 years ago
I can get back to you on that one lol. I ride a ZX10R, and i can safetly say i have never wheel spinned or wheelied by accident, sorry to say i agree with dukviper90 on this one.
terraplanet 2 years ago
True mate a 600 is more than enough for road and track and iv gotta say i get a real buzz out of whoopin a 1000 on track with my 600.. Check my GSXR Vs R1 vid. ;-)
bazrippa 2 years ago
there isnt a huge diff. in top end with the 600's and 1000's its just how fast thy get there. The 1000 get there hell alot quicker. Most stock 600's range from 100-106 hp comparied to the 1000's 160 hp
kevencola 2 years ago
eh i disagree. 0-60 ( of course all this depends on the riders) theyre really pretty close. its the higher speed acceleration, for example 100-150, and the top speed where the difference is noticeable. 160-165 top speed compared to 180-190.
zachs13 2 years ago
i started off with a CBR 600 really fast bike i now ride an R1 i say big difference from expirience all i gotta say is you accelerate alot faster what i do in 3rd gear on my 600cc i can do in 5 on a 1000cc
CsHnDzYAMAHAR1 2 years ago
Eh, shouldnt that be the other way around?
UrbanDenim 1 year ago
There's no way in he'll an experienced 600 will keep up with an experienced 1000, there's just too many noobs riding literbiked, thus they seem slow.
it's a night and day difference, like someone said, the "holly fuk" feeling.
And nowdays they both fuel injected, and prity much waigh the same
12secSTi 2 years ago
i have suzuki gsxr 600 k4 and the difference between 600 and 1000 bikes is from 200-300 km/h.
if you bring 2 crazy bikers the difference will lower to 250-till-300+
that 1 sec diffennce until 200 is way to small for the feeling you just said.
as for racing you need strait road because if not ... i got owned by a tuned ML climbing a hill and i had 200+ and didnt catch him in the end
Zepelin21 2 years ago
Lol ninja6, let me guess, 600?
Never rode a 1000?
Most 600's are governed at 165 usualy.
A 1000 with PC, will usualy reach 200+
A 600 will get to 160-170 if ur lightwaight, but still will take some time to get there, it's real play zone is 60-130
A 1000 playzonr is 90-170 anything below 90x usualy pops a wheelie at WOT, unless u'r stretched
12secSTi 2 years ago
Umm.... There's a shitload of highways here in tristate area, and allot of twisty beckroads aswell, and yes, I've reached speeds above 180+ mph here on highways, and I not the only one.
As far as cops, usualy sports bikers run from them.
So no, 1000's aren't useless.
Tell me when you ride one
12secSTi 2 years ago
cops dont even try and pull you over here, you will get the oddball powerhungry rookie with something to prove, but their lost within 2 turns are as soon as theres traffic

Another advantage 600's used to have over 1000 is that they were lighter, and beter handling, but not anymore since most 1000's are now same waight as 600 prity much
12secSTi 2 years ago
I'll still disagree with u guys, cause I usualy ride with my budy who's got 08 600rr, and we rarely go above 160, but my 1000 gets to that 150 alot faster, so I have to wait for him sometimes. I started off a 600 bike because it was easier. But they do get slow in feel.
Not top speed, but geting there
12secSTi 2 years ago
todays 600s do 165-170mph, 1000s-185-190mph....and a busa/14 -200-205(gervernor bypassed)
the 15-25mph difference of a 1k over a 600 is not worth the added insurance rates....if you're bored of a 600 and think a 1k will give you that HOOOLEE FUCK feeling again, you will surely be very dissapointed.
they have a 400cc -50-70hp advantage but only go 15-20mph faster..these bikes are at the peak of performance and cannot go any faster.
if your bored of 170mph, hang up your helmet
ninja6kid 2 years ago 3
I totally agree with you and having a 1000 on the street is pointless you will never see the horse power unless you hit the high way. A 750 is more worth it on the street itll be the same as a 1000 by the time you think you are gonna hit high speeds 2 things, traffic and lights. Cant agree more if you wana see anything more than 170 MPH drive a funny car.
HldMyNts 2 years ago
Yeah 1000s are a waste, if all your gonna do is ride on the street with them. If you plan on going to a track every week or riding highways, then a 750 or 1000 is great to have. Anything more than a 600 on the street, is just silly. You cant use its full potenial, unless you can get on some backroads well out of reach of cops
Ninjarider09 2 years ago
because there gearing but think about power to weight genius, You have 50 Percent more power and only 20 percent more weight thus you accelerate faster. If they wanted to they could strectch out the gearing on 1000 because horse power is how fast you can move something, and it has more, torque is how fast you can get it there and it has more of both . 1000 much faster check 40-100 times and 100-top speed times. Its night and day. Usable power too look at a power curve comparison
jms9618 2 years ago
u must be retarded. there is a HUGE difference between a 600 and a 1000. there is so much more torque and top end. it will you taht "hollllee fuck" feeling for sure.
10secndzTT 2 years ago
acceleration yes, top speed NO....600-170mph-1000 185-190mph.....wooow a 15-20 mph difference.........
ninja6kid 2 years ago
my mine iv road 600s and own a 900 and road 1000s and a busa the dif between all are a huge!!... sure the dif from my 900 because is built is faster then the 1000 but the 600 is like riding a scooter lol.. sure a stock 1000 only goes 185 190 but irt gets there way faster.. and 15 20 mph dif is huge.. thats like saying theres no dif from a 1000 and a busa.. 190-205,210 =P big dif all around,
srt4life20 2 years ago
600 like scooter??? im sure you never been on a sportbike

lol the dif from a 600 and 1000 ya... it makes a 600 seem like a scooter. and im sure you have never even sat on a bike let alone ride one.
srt4life20 2 years ago
got a r6 myself
Cheoz0r 2 years ago
ya thought so.. yes 600 are fast but its not on the same page as 1000s and up. but in all, it dont really mater all the much on what you ride its the rider its self.
srt4life20 2 years ago
Very true mate, thumbs up from me.
However 600s all the way for me... :-)
bazrippa 2 years ago
In other words, powercomander does the job well, but no mater how high you rev, it's still a 600, so geting a liter bike is a beter idea if you like top end much
12secSTi 2 years ago
Lol watsagixer, a fixer will only rew to 18 with removed revlimiter, which should be at 16.5, some years 17.
U rev to 18 only without the limiter. And preferably some motor work, so u guys are arguing over nothing.
I had a 600rr, not a gixer, bug silar. All 600's are weak, I'll own you in my 08 1000rr since ur that cocky

also. a 600 revs and sounds much higher pitched where a 750 and a 1000 sound more throaty and being he already sounds like hes revving high to begin with so my vote says its a 600
