  • I would disagree that poetry must strike a specific emotion. I prefer ambivalent poetry that allows several different readings/emotions to happen as a result of reading it.

  • @JTBrandt23 Absolutely! The depth of a work is parallel to the quality- if it's not multilayered in emotion or perspective it's shallow
