how you get names for your songs?

that's difficult to answer, sometimes you know how the song should be titled while writing it, sometimes i have to wait until everything has been recorded to see the whole picture and then imagine a title, The track will usually set an overall mood and then I put words to that mood

Hey I have a problem. I have a Fender Squier Stratocaster and im trying to learn how to play metal on a guitar that was made for blues. Any idea on what to do? Im lost : (

either buy a guitar with humbuckers or get your strat to a guitat tech and he can instal a humbucker on the bridge pickup (this could be costly as he will have to cut some wood of the guitar to instal the new pickup) you will also have to pay for a new pickguard

I'd just recommend you get a second guitar

First, learn how to play Metal properly. Metal is more in the player than the axe. The axe enhances the player, not the other way around. Reason being is clearly seen through those videos with people playing Metal on those Hello Kitty axes .

buy a stacked humbucker pickup which will fit into the bridge position hole without the need for extra holes being drilled. it should give you alot more crunch!

Don't worry, I say:) I know bunch of players who play metal (true old school I mean, no death, that really requires another axe) on a strat. For example Malmsteen if that's metal enough for you... and lots of other talented guys on youtube. But if you go for the pickup change, look around the DiMarzio Minibuckers (single-coil sized real humbuckers), which will improve your sound and shredding a lot.

I also Have a Squier Strat. Just Change the pickups. You dont have to put a humbucker. Try Fender Lace sensors, or I believe Seymour Duncan makes a single coil that sounds just as badass as a humbucker.

Your total cost would be just about $13. If I was to do CD distribution you would have to pay more, just so you can rip it in your ipod later and never play the CD again LOL, that's what often happens nowadays.  I'd would still send you the art if you buy through itunes, just let me know

Hey Izzy, thanks for commenting no my videos man. I don't think I'll do a CD release unless after releasing it on Itunes things go very well. Since I do everything myself putting money down to get the cd's printed and everything might not pay off. We'll see how things go with Itunes, the important thing is to have the music out there

Thank you very much man!!! Make sure you check Rage and Pain, that's my latest original. I always record and jam with the Pod X3 Live. I find it to be a great tool for just anything you can imagine. I record electric guitars, acoustic guitars, keyboards and bass through it. I have had no problem whatsoever with the hardware and software. I frequent the line6 forums and notice what you say, there are lots of people who report problems, but I'm sure there are more people who think they way I think
