enjoyed odst either way. liked it, played it, played a different game, went back to it a few weeks ago beat it on legendary during my free time and i felt good about it.
I would say I was a halo fanboy when halo 3 came out (I drove 50 miles to get it in a storm) I grew up with Halo, I'm 21 now and have lost my insane love for Halo... But after playing halo 3 multiplayer to death, I think I have had enough of Halo for some time, So when ODST was coming out I really wasnt very excited, But I had friends who were still acting like it was 2004... I just had a feeling that ODST was going to be a waste, I waited for my friend to get it and borrowerd it from him.

It's not good, I'll admit it's not terribly bad as when you do fight it's actually good. But half the time there's no combat which makes for a terrible campaign. Halo ODST receives a 5.5/10 from me.

Excellent review. I only buy pre-owned for the discounted price or after watching the gameplay. All games these days cost too much so its best to make as sure as can be before handing over the cash. I get his point though. MS have always cashed in on already existing material with a slight addition and massive marketing, promoting something new.
I was also upset about the game being released as a seperate retail game. What's the point of that if it is using the same engine? The campaign is decent but not incredible and the Firefight mode almost washed it down its own storm drain. If I could, I would take the code apart and make it F-U-N.
I don't own an X-box 360, only a PS3. But I agree with Phil. What I do, is rent before I buy. It works, and it also saves money. Why spend 60 bucks on a game when you can wait a few months and have it go down to 40 or 30. It works. I don't watch reviews, or read them. I watch trailers, see if the games worth renting, then I rent, then I buy. And it works. It will save money in the future. Do not go by what people say, go by what you say, no one else.
ODST was the worst 60 dollars i spent i thought it would be good because halo 2 my favorite halo game but this game sucks so much it was retard and wasted my time and played the first mission and i went back to halo2

Only good thing in Halo ODST is Firefight but even then GoW2 Horde mode is much better. I wish Microsoft wasn't a bitch and allowed Bungie to make it a 10$ DLC like they wanted.

Bungie is just a game developer that wants to make games and wanted to have ODST as a $20 DLC and Microshit is the greedy asshole that forced Bungie to make ODST a retail game. Excellent review. I only buy pre-owned for the discounted price or after watching the gameplay. All games these days cost too much so its best to make as sure as can be before handing over the cash. I get his point though. MS have always cashed in on already existing material with a slight addition and massive marketing, promoting something new.

I was also upset about the game being released as a seperate retail game. What's the point of that if it is using the same engine? The campaign is decent but not incredible and the Firefight mode almost washed it down its own storm drain. If I could, I would take the code apart and make it F-U-N.

I don't own an X-box 360, only a PS3. But I agree with Phil. What I do, is rent before I buy. It works, and it also saves money. Why spend 60 bucks on a game when you can wait a few months and have it go down to 40 or 30. It works. I don't watch reviews, or read them. I watch trailers, see if the games worth renting, then I rent, then I buy. And it works. It will save money in the future. Do not go by what people say, go by what you say, no one else.

Only good thing in Halo ODST is Firefight but even then GoW2 Horde mode is much better. I wish Microsoft wasn't a bitch and allowed Bungie to make it a 10$ DLC like they wanted.
