@gibbfan565 no; God gives us choices and unfortunately he chose to abuse drugs and alcohol and it just wore out his heart. Barry Gibb said it best; he helped so many people but he couldnt' help himself. One of the kindest people in music, great talent and just a great person. Just sad.

His death was so senseless and that loss to this world has touched so many of us.
