Police here in Toronto , Ontario Canada will actually issue jay walkers a $50.00 ticket . Reason being last month to many people been killed jaywalking . Now there cracking down... these people in the video jay walking in front of fully lite cruisers with there sirens on are just idiots.

Any real big city doesn't ticket jay walkers. Only small, slow paced cities like toronto actually have time to ticket jay walkers.

They're 'surge' drills. Started in June 2004.

Oh yeah, it scares all the terrorists. This driving around and making a big show has scared them senseless.
That's why there hasn't been any attacks, because of all the lights and sirens.
In reality it's called a rapid mobilization drill and it just wastes gas and keeps those units off patrol where their needed.
Didn't I tell you not to make stuff up? Surge is the baloney word for Iraq not NYC.
