Freddy Frinton who played "James" was a British variety and music hall actor, famous for his drunk routine's.He refused to record this sketch in Germany because of the war. He died in October 1968.This sketch for some reason is never shown in Britain on New Years Eve.Maybe because we are all out getting pissed.
