There is no literal hell. The wages of sin is death. Sinners die. A God that would eternally torment a being that is not an immortal being is not only illogical, but I can't believe that a "loving" good would torment a "soul" for all eternity. What crime could be worth that?

I think what people don't understand is (John 3:17,18) says; He that believes on him is not condemned; but he that believes NOT is "CONDEMNED ALREADY", because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.. I do remember that it was ice cold when Jesus wasn't with me. There would be ice on everything in my room. And I couldn't move, but when He was with me it was like spring. It's hard to put into words. As long as I keep my mind on Him, it is OK.

1: If god is as good and forgiving as he is, then he would hear my plair from hell and take me to heaven.
2: but acording to the text, its my own choice to stay in hell. well.. lets say i got in hell because someone tryes to harm my children, and in my attempt i end up killing tha person plus i get myself killed, then i wouldent mind at all being in hell tbh... If people would really read these in content they would see most of these verses apply to those that claim to believe in God, especially the ones about being cast into outer darkness. Also Revelation 20:10 is about satan being cast into the lake of fire. alot of these verses listed don't even apply to nonbelievers. I think instead of trying to scare people into hell, we need to talk about Heaven for a change!

There is no literal hell. The wages of sin is death. Sinners die. A God that would eternally torment a being that is not an immortal being is not only illogical, but I can't believe that a "loving" good would torment a "soul" for all eternity. What crime could be worth that?

I think what people don't understand is (John 3:17,18) says; He that believes on him is not condemned; but he that believes NOT is "CONDEMNED ALREADY", because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.. And this is the condemnation....(verse 19, 20, 21 explains why people can't get to God.) It's relevant because people don't know what Jesus Christ has saved us from!

To the responses . We seperate ourselves from God when we dont accept his son. God Loves us and wants to have a pure and Meaningful relationship with us. All children should know this as a foundation to their faith as they become adults. They should know, To Know God (through Jesus) is to know eternal life. Many of GEERUP's videos are about Christian theology, this is well known. GEERUP said that he doesn't like to argue theology within the body of believers on YouTube because atheist watch us too. I agree with him that if we are to argue over major foundational doctrine, it has to be done in a way that doesn't divide the church even more than it already is.

I used to read from the New Geneva. It was the later edition. It was the English Standard, which is probably still my favorite Protestant translation. In the end, though, I am a sucker for the Douay and the New Jerusalem.

I almost died several yrs back, I don't remember a whole lot of what happened to me. Having nearly died, and the only person that was with me everyday was Jesus. I do remember that it was ice cold when Jesus wasn't with me. There would be ice on everything in my room. And I couldn't move, but when He was with me it was like spring. It's hard to put into words. As long as I keep my mind on Him, it is OK.

divine, there are times when I slip and get caught up in the world, it seems very cold without the blessings of God. We have to remember to stay our minds on Christ, even when things look impossible. For there is nothing impossible for our Lord. Keep in prayer, He is listening!

This war that is going on is actually between, Jesus, and Satan. But because Satan knows that he can still Jesus's joy away, by hurting us. And that is where we come in, we all need to let Jesus into our lives and trust in Him. By us trusting in Him, He can protect us. I just do not understand why everybody makes following Jesus so difficult, when it is so simple. Get to know who Christ is before you shut Him down. Then we don't have to worry about hell. Stay in Christ.

Satan was a counterfeit of Christ, since Satan attempted to obtain temporal power by way of deception, unlike Christ who is obedient to his father's plan, and "crushed" Satan and established an eternal kingdom. Some try their hardest to revive Satan and say he can steal Gods glory and will be the victor over Christ. As for me Christ was is and will be the victor.

artde- I know that satan is the counterfeit, and I know that he can't hurt Jesus, and I should have said that satan thinks instead of knows. And there is no way I said that I'm to revive evil. If we do not trust our Lord and Savior, satan can hurt us and that saddens God's heart. Because He loves us. I know that Christ is the victor!!!

Believe it or not I do care about you, but Jesus came to save the lost and he didnt teach them of an eternal torment in hell. Q: In Ps 139:8, how is God in "Hell"?
A: The Hebrew word here, sheol, means grave. God is even in the grave, and even by dying a person cannot escape from God. cont.

I hope it was my demeaner on my video that caused all the anger, that way I'm to blame, and these "christians" are not. I will continue to hold my beliefs on the wages of sin and love God for reasons other than fear of an eternal firey unimaginable torture. I love ya man, but I love the sinner as well, and still say vegrin has a good heart and can be brought to Christ through truth.

(a) Geerup's WARNING as in Luke 16:19-31... `Then I beg you, father, (Abraham) send Lazarus to my father's house, for I have five brothers. Let him WARN them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.' No where in scripture does it say that WARNING others about the place of torment is a SIN. Philippians 2:12 says every man must work out his own salvation with fear and trembling. As does vegrin BTW

(b) Jonah was told by God to WARN a people .God knew of Jonah's distaste for the horrible deeds done of Ninevah. Jonah refused to go! God already had a fish prepared to save him. After Jonah's experience in the belly of hell. 3 days & nights, he WARNED with great compassion causing Ninevah to repent. God spared their souls from HELL. Jonah preached the coming Messiah and they received it!

The great warning contained in this parable is for those who in Christ's day enjoyed privileges, position, possession, status. The rich man was of the seed of Abraham and in Hell he cried 'Father Abraham'. His purple and linen spoke clearly that he was a child of the Kingdom and as such he 'fared sumptuously everyday'. This rich man is the nation of Jewry, yes Judah and as represented by their religious leaders.

Abraham also recognised him as such for he in turn called him 'son' and goes on to explain some reality. In your life-time you had good times and Lazarus a tough time, now the situation is reversed. Purple stands for royalty and Linen for righteousness and in this case 'of the Law'. Those in purple ruled and Judah was the Royal tribe, it also had within it the ministry of the Priesthood. The whole nation had been called to be a Kingdom of Priests. Exodus 19:6

Romans 9:3-5 The condemnation of the rich man, Judah, was he was so pre-occupied with his blessings, they became his curses. He was occupied with the gifts rather than the giver.

Lazarus Lying at the gate of the rich man unwanted and ignored, when so much blessing and deliverance was at hand. The name Lazarus means; without help (or whom God helps) and is the only time Jesus gave a name to a character in a parable.

Lazarus represents those outside of the blessings of the covenants, not having received the riches and oracles bestowed upon the Israelites, and in particular, Judah. Lazarus is the heathen world, lost, diseased, poverty stricken, an outcaste, spiritually dead. Lazarus was a beggar in his own eyes, but a dog as far as the Jews were concerned
