  • my dad gene otto bullock, and marcella wells bullock died in this tornado, and from diffrent videos i have seen. i know in one the last ten seconds of the video is where my dad and mom died..

I miss him and her very much..

  • Simply incredible. I'll chase for the rest of my life and probably never see something so intense and photogenic. Very unfortunate about all of the damage, though, always hate hearing about lives being destroyed.

  • I pray every day that I never see something like that in person. I can't even imagine how terrifying it would be to see that and realize it's coming at you!

  • iv never had a tornado but each time a storm happens it gets closer and closer to killing everyone and its frightning yes im 17 years old but that right there is something that scars you for life

  • That is some scary shit.

  • Your my friend on facebook:) and this is terrible:/

  • guys the Rainsville tornado was upgraded to a EF-5

  • guys the Rainsville tornado was upgraded to a EF-5

  • @mario927265 Wow....those few seconds you see was just the beginning of the nightmares we saw!

  • The beginnings of an EF5.

  • did it hit youre location?

  • By the grace of God, it did not. Beside our house where my mother in law lives it destroyed her chicken house and barn. Behind the barn, my brother in laws house was destroyed. Behind our house there was 1 house standing and one destroyed in which a woman died. After this we tried to get to brother in laws house and were stopped by a man whose house had been destroyed...he couldn't find his family. found 1 under debris, 2 in the field (1 of which died while I was there), that's a long story!

  • We live in Higdon and got hit pretty hard here too. First footage I've seen - they just got our phone/net/cable reconnected today. Excellent footage of the formation, hope ya'll were all ok. We lost one house, roof of the main house, and about 2 acres of fruit trees, but family and dogs all ok, thank God.

  • Great research footage. Glad your all okay??

  • Wow. I bet that was one of the scariest moments of your life. I had a tornado miss my house by about 100 yards many years ago so I know that feeling.I pray for the people of Rainsville as well as all of those affected by this storm.

  • Are you in the Chavies area?

  • @Dbene somewhat....if your at Plainview school at the redlight by that gas station you turn onto Marshall Rd and we live on past the 2 churches that were hit, off to the right. a 2 story gray house on a dead end street.

  • God spared you to serve and worship Him forever!

  • @pylgrym I will always do that...had been praying for a direction in my life and maybe this is the start of the answer to that prayer! Thanks for watching, your comment encouraged me so much!

  • I am so glad to hear that it didnt do damage to your house. You are lucky you were only at the start of this beast fury. So many lives are forever changed because of it. Thanks for sharing.

  • This is one of the very best formation videos I've ever seen. Like others have stated, it's chilling and heart-wrenching. Most people catch the "during" or "after" shots but you have outstanding senses of "how long to stay" and "when to be safe". I hope people learn from this and use it to study. Thank you so much and may God bless you and your community :)

  • Cindy... my aunt is Ivaleen Etherton...my mother is Jean Etherton Clark. Glad to know you all are ok.

    Bert Clark

  • were you anywhere near Browns Chapel road? This looks like what we saw!

  • @bessieclements74 We technically live on Berry ST ( a dead end drive way off of Marshall Rd). Behind our house runs Lingerfelt Rd (where we get our power from). I'm not sure where Browns Chapel Road is!

  • @ELItheEAGLE1 Gene and Marcella Bullock were my father and stepmother. They lived in the white home behind Victory Baptist, and fell victim to the Rainsville tornado. Seeing some these videos, I can't imagine what all of you in the area were thinking. God bless you all.

  • @ShylockEffect I am so sorry for your loss....it was quite an experience also immediately after coming upon the destruction at the Sparks...we were the first ones to find them and it was something I hope no one ever has to experience ever~

  • find toomers for tuscaloosa on facebook - they are doing a great job coordinating efforts!

  • really great but scary video you made of that terriable tornado forming right

before your eyes. Had to be a scary moment. Glad you are ok. thanks for

posting. Our prayers are with those who are suffering......

  • it was really scary luckly i didnt have any damage to my house but i know peopla that did and who have nothing right now :(

  • Hello, I was wondering if your house was damaged. The reason I ask is my Uncle lives out there and we were helping him salvage anything we could and decided to walk up the road and look around for some of his stuff and see if anyone needed help and I believe my dad found some address labels that had Cindy Newsom on them. And he said there were some other things there that belonged to a Cindy Newsom. It might not have been you. But I was going to let you know.

  • @dixieland1519 Hi, no our house wasn't damaged....I think we had some garbage in bags on our back porch, that's the only thing I can think of that might have blown away and had our name on it!

  • @ELItheEAGLE1 Okay. I'm glad to hear your house wasn't damaged and ya'll are okay.

  • We came to Rainsville Saturday to drop off supplies for Dekalb County. We live in Clay County and we want to come help with the clean up. If you can connect us with someone that needs help please contact me. We wanted to help clean up Sat., but I told my sister the best thing was for us to wait becasue yall still have such a mess and we would only be in the way being from out of town. We are prepared to make multiple trips if needed.

  • @mercywillfollowme We still don't have power so I haven't been able to watch news much. We have a generator we plug up some a little in the morning and a little at night. I did read somewhere about some help being needed at Broadway Baptist....but don't know what it was or if they still do need it. One day we had someone just drive up and give us some lunch...they were from a church who was helping Broadway deliver.

  • Goodness! The picture on my phone looks like the tornado might be bigger. We watched the one in geraldine/grove oak form. It was quite scary. God bless!

  • God Bless yall. I live in Rainsville also.

  • We are fine at our house. My mother in law beside us and another house behind us were spared. It's almost like it curved around us because the woods behind us were destroyed. There were others on our block that were killed. A band of angels were camped around us!

  • Cindy, thanks for posting. Are you all alright? We visited Rainsville Saturday for a funeral. It is devastating to see all that damage.

  • I can't imagine what this was like, Cindy. So glad y'all are okay! God does hear prayers, and I can hear you were praying. We, in North Carolina, will keep everybody there and across Alabama and Georgia in our prayers.

  • @urbanbamafan Yes, God hears AND answers prayers! Praising him and feeling blessed!!!

  • @ELItheEAGLE1 I can't watch this without crying. I'm glad God heard and answered your prayer!

  • I can't believe you stayed outside filming it that long ! ! !

  • Hope you had no damage. Thanks for sharing.

  • @MayhewJustin Not at our house but there was destruction all around us...deaths also!

  • I live close to were it happen and have videos from after

  • That was a VERY powerful video to watch and it gives me chills every time I watch. I pray for everyone touched by this disaster.

  • thanks for this amazing footage. I hope everything is ok with y'all.

  • @gzies1 Yes everything fine at our house...missed us and 2 neighbors by feet. The Lord was watching out for us!!! Feeling blessed!
