is that a 95? or 96? i got a 97 and it kicks ass, just got the intake gasket replaced, new plugs, cap, rotor, taillights, center console, glove box door, cd player, and soon to be new painted bumpers (off of the 2000 z71 tahoe), misc body work (from previous owner) and new wheels/tires
Well thank ya, sir! I bought this truck one day a few years ago on a whim because I really needed a Toy Hauler and Its really grown on me. So far I've replaced the Radiator (freakin DEXCOOL!), SparkPlugs, Dist. Cap+Rotor. Otherwise with that Vortec 5700 she's pretty much bulletproof.
And you're a JL man I see? Respek! I've got a 12inch W7 in my 300M. Gotta love JL - the best of the best.
@CSXRockford I can't even be bothered to change the oil more than once a year on this thing, so no doubt I'd be one of those idiots. I did put DexCool right back in after I replaced the rad though.
Great vid, Rob...the oasis in the heart of the snow! The truck handled everything you gave it! The beer will help you forget the snow! Happy New Year! :D Jack
LOL. When i do videos like these i like to mount it somehow. Ill put a box in the passenger seat and redneck tape it on there. Very corney way to do it, but it works good :) also mounting on the dash is good too. You need to do some snow donuts in the beast :P
Not a bad idea rigging something up on the passenger seat! I've been looking into all sorts of tripods and mounts for good videos to come. It does take some of the fun out of it (having to hold the camera in one hand). Its harder to put on the show I want to with only 1 hand on the wheel. Videos are always better with a CameraMan-This was a spir of the moment video. =0)
All I did was took a traditional penzoil oil carton box, and put it in a comfortable position in the passenger seat and put a couple of objects around it so it wouldn't move around, then i simply taped the camera to the box. ive used this for a good shot of me driving the car. But it would be great for this video pointing out the windshild. It would feel like we're riding there in the car truck with you!!

@makaveli087 Nothing wrong with Dex cool. Its the idiots that leave it in for 200,000 miles and never change it.
