thanks for the response ^^, I shall favor this, and subscribe to your channel. sorry for the long wait for the reply, I am getting use to YouTube's writing system.
This is beyond awesome....haven't seen this since the mid 80s, Sesame Street used to really ROCK back then, who knew Mick Jagger could be this cute? A message to all you anime "otaku" doesn't this guy also remind you of Lelouch Lamperouge? ^-^
I think I see your problem, Mick. You're a grown man, dressed in an odd suit, trying to play on a seesaw and jump-rope with a bunch of young kids on a playground. Honestly, I can't blame those kids. I'd be creeped out too if some stranger who's dressed funny wants to do anything with me that involves a rope. If you want friends I'd look elsewhere. You're not getting cooperation here for a good reason.
Isn't this just a Sesame Street version of the Rolling "I Can't Get No Satisfaction" I'm just look at the title of this song there's only a one word difference.
This is actually a very nice sounding song. The music doesn't sound like it came from Sesame Street, although the lyrics do. I like it a lot :) I used to rock out to this stuff lol
I'm trying to figure out who's performing Mick Swager. I know it's Chris Cerf's voice but who's the Muppeteer performing him. By the performance I would think it was Richard Hunt but the mouth movements are very simular to Frank Oz's
Even though Chris Cerf is providing the voice for Mick Swagger (a.k.a. Mick Jagger), I think Richard Hunt is performing the Muppet. I reconize his energetic performance style.
None of the Muppets besides the singer are modeled after specific Stones. They're just Muppets with instruments. Consider that the drummer doesn't look anything like Charlie Watts, and the Stones don't have a keyboard player.
I still have the tape with this song. They gotta put this on DVD if they haven't yet!

Sounds like the Stones didnt cooperate with letting Sesame St use the actual song. Too bad! But this is cute and a good workaround.

You could be right, since it looks like their garden is in the middle of 1980s Queensbridge!

This is what kids today need. Elmo is making them all stupid.

I liked this song as a kid, too. I still do. I first heard this on the Rock 'n Roll video, and I have the full version of this in my favorites.
Mick Swagger is C-U-T-E!!! :-D
TelephoneRock4ever 2 years ago
@TelephoneRock4ever I have that video too! And one called "Dance Along". Rock N Roll was always better.
P.S. im lovin' the username! way to represent (:

I totally remember this and I used to laugh at it as a kid because I knew they were spoofing the Stones. The Mick Swagger puppet is hilarious.

I love this one, I always crack up! We have it on a SSt vhs called Rock n Roll. The puppetry on the lead singer is some of the best.. so funny!

The singer's performer has a hard time mouthing the words as he "picks up" the jump rope.

This was their first hit single. The B-side was 'Sympathy for the W'.
DiAnno13 3 years ago 3
Don't forget their other hits...
"Undercover Of The 9"
"Miss U"
"And G"
"8 Too Proud To Beg"
"Mother's Little L-per"
"B's Of Burden"
"Mick's D Motions"
And the song they wrote for the films with the clumsy baker..."Tumbling Guys."
(Somehow "Little T&A" never made it to broadcast.)
RSG2006 3 years ago
And the ultra-rare "I Don't Know Y", "9 is on My Side", "Lady J" and "Ruby's 2 Day."
DiAnno13 3 years ago
"Ruby's 2 Day" was a double A-side with "Let's Count To Nine Together."

From the "Tattooed U" album.

Which also featured "C's so Cold", "19 Nervous Breakdowns" and "2-2-2-2-2-2-2 (Heartbreaker)".

Yeah it was my bad. I've just got back from Muppet Wiki. The bass player was the Bass player. Does he looks a bit like Keith Richards?
teenangel93 4 years ago
I thought it was Ron Wood at first.
wattamack4 4 years ago
Then I guess the guitarst (the purple one) was Keith Richards.

True... compared to other Muppets parodies, this one seems to intentionally distance itself.

I think the green one looks more like Keith.

Same thing with me! :)
teenangel93 3 years ago
Which one of the band members looks like Keith Richards? I guess that it might be the green guitarst?
teenangel93 4 years ago
That's the bassist.
wattamack4 4 years ago
I thought accoring to Muppet wiki there were two guitar players for The Cobblestones?
teenangel93 4 years ago
One plays Guitar and one plays Bass.
wattamack4 4 years ago
he plays bass, go fish lol, also chris cerf's muppet looks like steven tyler also lol

Sesame Street moves into New Wave, circa the early 80's. Best "Satisfaction" cover since Devo's.

Awsome! Sesame street love to Rock n Roll back then. This song will make anyone who loves to dance. 5 stars. Thanks for posting.

Anyone know why he's blindfolded in the middle?

He's showing that he's playing hide and seek.

This one copies the Stones' voices and instrumental style dead-on...five stars!
